Jesus was Jewish, and didn't even CELEBRATE Christmas. Neither did his JEWISH disciples.

You call yourselves Christian? You just renamed the birth-date of Midas, a god of the last religion, and Saturnalia, AND the Winter Solstice.
Jesus was born in the summer.

Why hasn't Christmas been canceled yet?
The answer is simply that we aren't jerks going around and ruining other people's celebrations. We don't go around yanking lollipops out of kids' mouths because we believe they should take care of their teeth.

"Athur eist – if you disbelieve the holy word of the Most High God, your opinion on reality is void. How can the world be ’several billion years old’ when the bible clearly states that it took SEVEN days to make? Therefore physics isn’t always right."
Stevie, Stevie, Stevie. This is the problem with religion, not just Christianity, but all of them. Say I were a devote Muslim, which I am not. Would that qualify me to say to you, who I am assuming to be a Christian, "If you disbelieve the holy word of Allah, the Highest God, you opinion no matter how much proof you have, must be wrong if Allah disagrees. If Allah says 2+2 is 5, and you disagree and say it's 4. Allah is right. Period. End of discussion." Also, the Bible has no proof or evidence. The scientific theories have been carved out of mountains of information over years in order to get them to where they are today. They might not be perfect, or even close to right, but at least they have something supporting their argument.

"Chris, if you take every fact from an old SCIENTIST that contradicts itself at every turn and is mostly made up, you need SALVATION."
So if I were going a math test, and I first get an answer of say 10. When I finish and check my answer, I get 20 instead. I recheck to determine which is right and I get 30. I do a final check, making sure I do every single step exactly correct, and get a 10. I've just contradicted myself 4 times in a row, but in the end, I've made a conclusive answer of 10. Also, what is wrong with proving someone wrong? They might realize their error and correct it. But usually, they must be PROVEN wrong FIRST. You can't go up to someone and say, "2+2 isn't 4, it's 5." They won't believe you.

"And as for the continents moving? Pah! Have you ever tried to push over a hedge? No? Try it one day. You will find you cannot. And if you cannot move a hedge, how are you going to move a continent?"
Comparing the movement of continents to us moving a hedge is completely wrong. First of all, WE aren't doing any moving. Second of all, the forces that move the continents are exerted by a huge amount of matter. Therefore a better comparison of continental shift would be a human trying to move a large, heavy box. It might not be easy or quick, but it can be done slowly and surely. The entire crust's shift can be imagined by 10000 men pushing 10000 of those boxes. It's not quick nor easy, but it can and will be done.

1. Athur Eist is a fake name. A few of you might notice what happens if you remove the "ur" from athur. The reason I use a fake name is that I am a 15 year old British student with a large knowledge of physics, chemistry and mathematics. As a result, I don't like to give away my mane on the Internet and as a result use witty fake names. Also, what's wrong with the french? They can cook, make cheese, wine, have a beautiful country, are increasing usage of nuclear power and gave you yanks a landmark.

2. The continents do move due to the movement of underground masses of magma carry the continental plates about 12 cm a year. How else do you think earthquakes happen?

3. If I told you that your god told me that the bible had been manipulated by man and the universe is billions of years old.

4. Rest is a concept and therefore would not need creating as what else was your god doing before the universe was created? Also, it is widely accepted that the 7 stage creation thing is true as a metaphor for the stages of the universe changing and then not much happening for a long time.

Matter not scripture!

Well Athur Eist (stupid name by the way, what is it, French?), I would have to say that GOD is the only authority in my life, whether he carves his words on stone, inscribes them on parchment or daubs them on the wall of his prison cell in his own tears, blood, semen and faeces like in some film I saw once back in the day.

And as for the continents moving? Pah! Have you ever tried to push over a hedge? No? Try it one day. You will find you cannot.

And if you cannot move a hedge, how are you going to move a continent?

The truth is that the continents CANNOT move, as JESUS said - if you tell a mountain to move and you have enough faith, it will move. This clearly means that the upward limit for moving mass is that of a mountain.

As even the smallest continent (Australia) is twenty times the size of the biggest mountain (Everest)... well, you do the math.

You are of course correct - God created the world in 6 days, not seven. But on the seventh day he created REST, which is a thing. Therefore it took 7 in total.

And the world is 6000 years old, not 5000.

We're not idiots.

JESUS.

Stevie, if you had yourself infront of the evidence that the continents have moved and were once one, and the a piece of stone saying that the world is 5000 years old and how that is the word of a mysterious force who may or may not exist, which would you believe?

Also BTW the bible says the world took 6 days to make not 7

Okay Steve, tone it down a notch. The stress from all that rage will kill you.

And yes scientists can change their minds, AFTER their original theory is proven wrong.

I believe what some say, but not all of them. They all have their own theories, which by definition, is only considered true until there is evidence to prove them wrong.

And stop being a racist, no one likes a racist.

Chris, if you take every fact from an old SCIENTIST that contradicts itself at every turn and is mostly made up, you need SALVATION.

Just because a scientist says it, doesn't mean it's true. Scientists supported slavery back in the day, and after the negros became free, they changed their tune.

That's why, every time I see a black scientist, I laugh my AMERICAN ass off.

Just kidding. I've never seen a black scientist.

Oh and just so you know, if there WAS a plan to cancel Christmas, then actually you should accept it as your puritan ancestors had done in the past. That's right. The pilgrims banned Christmas celebrations as it was deemed to sinful.
