Letter from a reader

Dear Readers:

Freedom of Speech is one of the core values of in this great land of ours. Everybody has a say, within some very strictly defined limits.

Below you’ll find one of the many hateful emails we at STR receive every day. Just go ahead and read how wrong and stupid they are.

Kind regards,
Shelley N. Goodman

Warning: What follows is, yes, criticizing your site, so if you can’t handle criticism, please, read the last paragraph. If anything, I would want you to read that.

From the moment I clicked on the link to your site from Uncyclopedia’s page on ‘Conservatives’ I felt an unholy shiver trickle down my spine. I knew I had gone in over my head. When that page loaded the conserva-rays being emitted from my computer caused all the nature in my house to die. I had to rush my cat to the hospital due to severe internal hemorrhaging. The doctors said the only people on earth causing such a blight to nature was Bush, or perhaps McCain, but it appears there’s a rival for their conservative-ness. I’m pretty sure all my goldfish are dead. The Origin of Species crinkled and burned on my book shelf, only leaving a blackened husk. Even the Bible got singed, which boggled me even more.

I, luckily, don’t lean incredibly towards Conservatism or Liberalism very much, so I got by even if reading your site gave me an intense headache.

The level of brainwashed propaganda on that site would make Josef Stalin cringe. A was wracked with hearty guffows reading the options for your current poll, What is Barack HUSSEIN Obama’s hidden agenda? I find also find your lack of real evidence against Obama has lead you to criticzing his name, instead of anything solid. The same goes for the ‘Democ-rats’. Clicking “God’s Hitlist’, finally did the Bible in, it burst into flames throwing burning shreds everywhere. Had it still been intact it would have done that very same thing yet again when I clicked on ‘Problems’.

I don’t know if your ‘pastor’ is real or if he’s just made-up by you people to brain-wash some more hapless individuals, but regardless you might want to hire a new guy cause he ain’t a man of god, that’s for sure.

“I personally have no problem with you, but unfortunately you are going to Hell. It’s not me who says that – it’s God.”

I like how this man poses as a herald of God, by constantly saying that you’re going to Hell without showing the shred of compassion or diginity God would have. It pains me that a person like myself is more holy than this ‘holy’ man.

I also find it funny how this ‘pastor’ constantly whores your site, exclaiming to donate to your site, and yelling at people ‘Vote Republican!’, even more convincing me this man is just a figment of your narrow mind. God would be very ashamed of you.

But here, I’ll humor you. I want a real, good reason why, for example, gay marriage shouldn’t be allowed or gays at all for that matter. My gay and lesbian brothers and sisters (Metaphorically of course, though my sister is bi) do no harm to this world. They spread happiness and optimism everywhere they go and are viciously attacked by people such as yourself, so I ask you, Why are are they ‘evil”? Please try as hard as you can not to bring God into this, exhaust all arguments you have before taking the religious note.

- Marcus

I find it strange that people can jump to a conclusion that some statement (or even person!) is “made up” because it is different from their own beliefs.

If life teaches us anything, it is that there are people in this world that go much farther than anything you can imagine.

“He said what? That’s unbeleivable! You couldn’t make it up.”

    Keep it up, Billy-Bob. S-t-r-e-t-c-h.

Hi – I mean, this letter is not soo hateful…? I remember, sometimes you received real hateful comments or letter. He just talks about his point of view, without cusses, that`s ok I think. And if he will go to hell or not – only God knows. I am just a normal Christian and believe in the Ten Commandments. Funny is: You tell him, he will go to hell, and he tells you, you will go to hell!
We don`t know that. Of course, a murder or a notorious robber, they will have good chances to go to hell.
This discussions about different wordlviews reminds me a bit to the “Thirty Years War” it was a religious war in Europe 400 years ago, Protestants against catholics – millions died. Many Protestants immigrated to North America…..However – nice weekend!

    Bravo.
Marcus’s email was beautifully orchestrated. A lot more classy then I certainly could have been, so props to him.
The biggest question here is whether or not Shelley could understand any of the big words in there.
