STR.com new series! India: The Growing Economy, The Growing Threat

My dear friends,

As I’m sure you’re aware, one of the world’s fastest growing economies is that of India. Their growth in recent years has earned them the name “The Indian Tiger”. They now control a huge percentage of the world’s industrial output. Since they breed so fast too, this nation is soon to become the world’s largest.

In many ways, their success is a cause for celebration and thanks. By applying the economic principles invented here in America – allowing free trade and low taxes that help businesses grow everyday, they have become a wonderful success story. I hope that this series will be a positive celebration of the good that goes on there. That millions of people everyday are being lifted from poverty. That instead of horrible old bikes and smelly cows on the streets, trains that take you to a station instead of straight to your front door, and more and more people are fortunate enough to own their own automobiles.

Indian technology has a bit of a way to come before they catch up to us! But they’re trying!

Sadly, however, I also have to tell you today that these Indians have failed to adopt that greatest lesson that the world can learn from this great nation: the love and salvation of Jesus Christ Our Lord.

In fact, “sadly” isn’t even the word. “Terrifyingly”might be more apt. These people, you see, worship demons and Satan. They call this faith hinduism, but there’s no denying that really it is a dark form of devil-worship.

Mrs Goodman wants me to keep it brief in these introductory notes and tells me that this article should just act as a taster for the terrors to come, so I will not expound the full horror of the “hindu” belief system now. You’ll just have to look out for the articles as they arrive each week.

For now, however, tell me if this hindu “god” does not look like a demon.

kali

Indians call this demon “kali”. I call it by its true name: Satan.

They worship this Kali! Can you believe it? Why do liberals who love India because “it’s so real man” not admit this evil?

Get thee behind me Satan!

More soon,

Sam Johnston

the image is altered, Jesus Christ, your “lord”, can´t save you from the rage of kali, besides If american knew a little bit of religions you definitively know that the sense of dualities(satan vs. god)come from the Indian people…

I’m still trying to work out if this is a spoof or not…
Go on – tell me, it’s a joke isn’t it? Surely you can’t actually be this stupid. You’d better look out – what with the gay agenda and now devil worshipping indians – what next? The threat of satanic pet lovers or maybe the perverted unholy world of beauticians?
    You sound like a nazi.

Shelley. It’s nice to see that you are so shallow as to judge a mythical creature as evil and a demon based on looks alone. If you had bothered to come out of your cave and actually researched the (female) goddess Kali, even through the easiest Internet pathways (Wikipedia), maybe you would have expanded your knowledge and tolerance beyond its current infantile status.

Yes, Kali is a Hindu goddess associated with death and destruction. The name Kali itself means “black”. Oooo, scary and evil. In the most famous myth about Kali, thank you Wikipedia, Kali is called upon by another goddess to help slay demons in a battle between good and evil. In case you missed it, Kali is part of the “good” team.

As people evolve and philosophize, so to do the perceived meanings of the cornerstones of their religious beliefs. Even Catholicism has evolved from the days of witch burnings and crusades. Kali is currently seen as a goddess of time and change. There, that’s much nicer, unless you’re a Christian fundamentalist, then I guess it does stand for everything you fear!

Anyway, I’m sure you’ll agree that it’s pretty unlikely that any of this really happened. Just like a lot of stuff in the Christian bible. There comes a time in everyone’s life when he or she has to grow up and stop believing in children’s stories about mythical creatures, wouldn’t you agree?

Sam, you published a photo of a miniature from a tabletop war game and claimed it to be an acurate depiction of a Hindu god.

Looking at the flicker page it says “This figure is part of one of my ‘Hordes of the Things’ armies.” WTF.

If your going to criticize at least pick something more directly.

Would now be a time to point out that you worship a god that

    1) rained fire and brimstone on several cities
    2) turned someone into a piller of salt
    3) flooded the entire world killing almost the entire human population.

oh no another growing economy, another country that is moving forward, damn moving forward, that is against the whole conservative belief, let’s all end progression so that mr. Jesus can rise again… or we can embrace it, and share progress for the well-being of the human race, oh wait no, i forgot according to this website jesus is more important.

Are you kidding me? India would be our most valuable ally in a war in the middle east if we got the balls to ask them.
Like, we call the British… *ring* (Silly British accent) “What, you want us to bomb the middle east? We can’t do that, it’s not very nice.”
We call India… *righ* (Indian Accent) “What took you so long? We’ve been waiting. Come one, we’ll do it together, if you see a camel drop a bomb, if you see an elephant, that’s us. If there is two eyes, shot, if three, don’t shoot, that’s me, it is my dot.”

    @Richard March 18th, 2009 10:33 AM

Of course it’s not a spoof, I’m sorry but if you think these guys are not speaking God’s truth, you actually have problems lol…

Even atheists if they produce a lot of articles would get something right eventually… STR haven’t got anything wrong and they won’t ever, because they’re rolling for Jesus. (Praise His name!)

And unfortunately people are silly enough to keep believing this stuff is not real.

I have to admit I am starting to see the light myself….

And about this Indian motorcycle : it’s a U.S. motorcycle build the late 30′s produced by “Indian,” American brand whose foundation dates back to 1899 and who disappeared around 1955 …

You are funny, guys, want to give lessons, you do not even know the history of your own industry …

    HA, HA, HA, HA !!!!

Sam, I ain’t trying to pick no fight, but I was pretty pretty sure that this “hindoo” thing was just another name for Muslimism

  10. Sam Johnston March 19th, 2009 2:10 PM

BBN, I understand that you don’t know much about abroad. Hell, why think about such things when you live in the greatest country on earth, but no, I’m sad to say that there are more blasphemies out there than belief in the pedophile prophet. This hindu-satanism is one of them.

  11. Xavstarblues March 20th, 2009 6:34 AM

Hi – Kali is Shiva`s wife – she is the female god of fire – Shiva, her godly husband is the destroyer and creator in the spirit of Hinduism. Hinduism is the main religion in India and Indonesia. This religion is very old – some thousends of years I think. For me as a Christian I have no troubles with them, I don`t care. But in India, especeially at the Westcoast of India – in the district named Kerala – there is a big Christian community – they call themself the “Thomas-Christians”. Look into the Web, under “Kerala” and “Thomas-Christians”.
They still have a lot of churches.

Sam Johnston – you mentioned in your comment above, the greatest country are the States. You know, the US Dollar dropped and the EURO is still above – since 2 years! US tourists come to Europe and realize, how expensive life is in France, Spain, Austria, Germany, England….is for them now. Sometimes my cousin Mary from Texas comes to us for a visit, and she told me, since 2 years Europe became expensive for US people. Since 2-3 years the situation in the States became bad. In the 70ies and 80ies it was cheap for US tourists in Europe. But 2 years ago the Dollar dropped and the EURO currency rised. The States were the greatest country. For me personally and for a lot of people as well, Central Europe has a better lifestile. Of course, we have troubles too, but not so much like you have in the US. Peter Vienna

If one looks at many Christians they use the symbol of the cross. It is a symbol of the thing Jesus was killed on. There are images of the Christian God in some cases on the cross (the crucifix) bleeding. If one does not know the symbolism then such things look pretty awful.

Kali is not worshiped by all Hindus. Many of them avoid working with her. But, there is a symbolism to her and it does not mean what it looks to mean. She is destroying the ego and helping people become more awake. One hand is the symbol of compassion, the other is the symbol of ‘fear not’ or ‘trust’ basically. These are ideas all very common in Christianity.

Hinduism is a very symbolic religion. One of the most loved saints of India worshiped her. She is in many ways a symbol based on the horrible things that can happen to all of us in life and the good and blessings that can come from them.

Kali is one of many symbols of divine female energy. There are other symbols as well. She is a fierce protectress and she helps accelerate awakening. She is a goddess that people pray to to become more loving and more understanding.

And yah, she looks weird and scary and it is understandable that people who don’t understand would be disturbed by the symbolism.

And like someone else said, that is not her common illustration or sculpture at all. That is not made by a Hindu organization. So it would be like finding a Jesus picture from South Park and calling it Christian or a Jesus image with a bobble head. They are not the same. That Kali has more arms than the traditional four. She has a ring of fire which is not standard on Kali.

The God that many Hindus worship (if not most) is Krishna who is in the form of young (teenageish?) boy with a flute. Another is an image (Shiva) of a guy meditating or a guy dancing in a ring of fire. Again symbolic – of the dance of life. One of the main Goddesses that most work with is Lakshmi who looks very different. Kali is feared and avoided by many Hindus. Not all Christians like the Crucifix or use it. One could find an ugly crucifix and say that was all of Christianity. It isn’t.
