Jimmigoddard – you have a lot of Muslim communities in the States – I was surprised, even much more as in Europe. Not all Muslims are bad guys, this is a stereotyping. These islamic guys, who hates our life stile, the West and the Christians, don`t leave their beloved Middle East. Hi – you have never visit a real evil empire or third world country, like we have in high numbers all over the globe. But Canada belongs to the richest and cleanest countries worldwide and is member of the G8.
Ok – take a flight to Africa, but alone – fly to Zambia, Angola, Zaire or Sudan……you can`t survive one single day. In Canada you are save, you can buy food, the people understand you, you can take the next bus, train or flight back home, whenever you like. All these things are impossible in many African or Asian countries. If you don`t like Canada, ok – it is your opinion. But you have never seen a real third world country.
Some years ago I was in northern Sudan, just for a couple of days – came from Egypt, to visite a friend of mine. He is diver near Port Sudan at the Red Sea. This land is real poor – never before I have seen such poor people. In some villages they have nothing to eat – but it was impossible to buy food, cause they have no food. Therefore your article is a joke……my goodness, Canada a third world country or evil empire this is pretty funny.
Seriously – if you want to see a real evil empire, you will find it in Africa or in Southern Asia for sure. Book your next flight, for example: New York – Kampala (the capital city of Uganda) and take the next bus and visit some villages on the countryside. Believe me, after one day only, you would be glad to be in Canada.

They´re having corn outside Toronto becuase fertile soil with the right climate is rather scarce in Canada. Gotta make due with what you have.

And, of course, Toronto´s a tad bit bigger than quite a lot of US cities.

Just for the kicks: Germany´s GDP by sector: agriculture (0.9%), industry (29.1%), services (70%)

So actually, the Canadians make more of their money with industry than you. As do we in Germany.

And of course, Canada´s comfortably in the TOP 20 of world economies. Place 13 if I´m not mistaken. (Germany´s No. 5 in terms of pure GDP.)

Oh, and Cnada´s prevalent industries: transportation equipment, chemicals, processed and unprocessed minerals, food products, wood and paper products, fish products, petroleum and natural gas

USA: Main industries petroleum, steel, motor vehicles, aerospace, telecommunications, chemicals, electronics, food processing, consumer goods, lumber, mining, defense (lacks food industry o a dangerous degree)

Germany: iron, steel, coal, cement, chemicals, machinery, vehicles, machine tools, electronics, food and beverages, shipbuilding, textiles

Besides, the Canadians have rather good weaponry, part domestically produced, part imported. (They took our Leopard 2 over both the Stryker and the Abrams. :) ) And they´re kicking ass in Afghanistan. (But then, given the Canadians were almost the fiercest sons-of-bitches over the lake, they´ve shown it in 2 World Wars.)

“Alternative energy”

That´s using wind and sun energy for your electrical needs. Unlike oil and coal, those won´t run out anytime soon. And hat was likely a privately owned mini-windmill.

Canada’s largest part of its economy is the Tertiary sector which comprises of insurance, government, tourism, banking, retail, education, and social services not farming corn, which isn’t even the largest crop grown in Canada its wheat not corn. Now to all you racist redneck fucks one last thing, since 2001 Canada has had the best overall performance in the G8 which im sorry to say includes the United States, and fuck you Shelly you racist ignorant cunt!
