I was first afraid that this might have been a spoof, but I now realize that it’s the truth.

Up till about a year ago I was an atheist, but I’ve converted to the Church of the FSM and it puts everything into clear perspective.
It enables me to spot the errors in your article and put the thumb on the weak arguments.

First off: Ubuntu is not really an Operating System in the sense that Debian is. Debian is a true OS, complete with back-up features (xback), built in Office (Open Office) and is fully Web-compliant (Firefox comes packaged with Debian). Ubuntu is only the bare-bones of an OS. All other stuff needs to be downloaded over the Internet. This results in a ‘dead OS’. The people at Ubuntu have recognized this and have started making ‘live CDs’ with Ubuntu on it, but it still falls short of true Debian, and certainlty short of Vista. Vista, after all, retrieves updates by itsself periodically. Now that’s a true live OS!

Secondly Ubuntu is not really meant for multiple users. It supports only one keyboard at a time, and only one mouse. Terribly disappointing. Here at work we use WinXP and we sometimes plug in a second (USB) keyboard on a colleague’s PC. Great fun when we add another character while he working on his Word file. But I digress.

Thirdy, and most importantly, I restate my first two points, as they were worth reading again. Please do so.

I know what I’m talking about, I’ve checked Google about it.

And if you run under Vista using a standard user, you can’t install *anything* without a password that involves altering the registry or anything withing the [drive]:/Program files/ or [drive]:/windows/ folders.

This really is an article written by a person who does know *NOTHING* about operating systems. It lacks all references to the statements made and I would not be surprised if this person is actually sponsored by MS.

b) If you can’t even remember a password, you should be using a paper notepad instead of a computer, nitwit!

The talk about this scheduler is also totally misplaced. Have you ever tried to access a network share in windows which is slow? Try to access any other explorer window: this is poor design in windows.

Yes, I’m an experienced Windows, AIX, Linux (OpenSuse, Ubuntu) user. Stop blabbing about stuff you don’t know squat about.
