I think the feminist in me just threw up.

Men are not perfect. MEN ARE NOT GOD’S GIFT TO THIS WORLD TO GUIDE ANYONE. THEY CAN’T EVEN GUIDE THEMSELVES! MEN SHOULD NOT BE EXCUSED FOR THEIR WEAKNESSES. HOW COME MEN ARE SO WEAK IN THE FACE OF THEIR OWN BIOLOGY?

If you say that a woman deserved it for dressing provocatively, then why not blame men for their weak self-control or their general horniness.

Why was I flashed when I was wearing my school uniform then? A uniform that went well below my knees and loose fitting….is it my fault?

While I agree that not all women dress appropriately I do not recall the Bible ever mentioning that women should stay home and mind the house. I do know that God made us to be a help mate to our husband and in 2011 that means two incomes.
I think what you are posting is utter nonsense, that women are responsible for everything and have it coming to them but that we should be forgiving of the men because it is in their DNA? If you read your bible a little better you would notice that taking advantage of others in NOT in God’s plan.
And even if they have a shorter skirt on that shouldnt give a man freedom to put their hands on them if the woman clearly isnt interested.
Shelly I must ask what would happen if your daughter was victim of sexual harassment or rape, not bc of what shes wearing but becuase men are men would you tell her to ‘Shut up and serve the LORD’?
As a woman I am uterrly disappointed in this article. I have been a victim of sexual harassment and I was wearing a uniform provided to me by the company I was working for, buttoned all the way up and yet my manager was a pervert and enjoyed looking at other parts of my anatomy. I never flirted or un buttoned my shirt but that didnt stop him.

I’m sorry but although God may disapprove of some things people do he does not hate any of them! God loves us all even if we do stray from the path sometimes. We all make mistakes and if we learn from them in the future then that is what is important. Perhaps Shelly you should stop spreading a message of hate and start spreading the Lord’s real message which is that of love and compassion. Life is too short to waste it on hateful words. I feel sorry for you if that is how you feel about others. Your life must be void of so many beautiful things to make you that way. Perhaps it is you who has strayed and needs to reconect with the Lord and be enlightened by his love.

Shelley, Shelley, darling…There are so many things I could say, so many things I could pray and hope for.

I could hope that one day, as you walk down the street dressed in something you believed looked decent and tidy, you feel something behind you. I could hope that you’ll look back and see nothing but people milling around, and admonish yourself for being paranoid.
I could hope that you feel something behind you that feels just a little too close. That an inexplicable feeling of panic hits you and you walk a bit faster. I could hope that all of a sudden you’re grabbed from behind by big, strong arms, and dragged into a car.
All the following events that I could hope for won’t bear describing…but I could hope that as this terrible thing happens to you, you’ll be brimming with those awful feelings of degradation, violation, terror and worthlessness. I could hope that you later get tossed violently out of a moving car onto the pavement, left alone to pick up your life where it left off, and start the long hard recovery, the road to feeling like a human being again.

I could also hope that this happens to your daughter.

But, I think it’s better that you hold these erroneous beliefs. I think it’s better that you live in ignorance and arrogance than experience these things, or anyone else.
I pray they never happen to you, or anyone you love.
