Here we go again.? Some nutcase gets his hands on some guns, kills a couple of people and the dumbocrats start their fear-mongering about ?how this could have been prevented if nobody had a gun?.? It?s all hogwash, of course.? I gotta admit, though, that I?m getting pretty dang tired of pointing out that if everyone in that classroom had been armed, locked and loaded that guy?s shot count would have gone from 30 rounds to around 3 and a couple of more people would be alive and not wounded.? It?s exactly this kind of scenario the founding fathers had in mind when they came up with the 2nd Amendment.? With so many school shootings happening every day when will dumbocrats realize the solution is not less guns but more guns.? I guess they really do love their culture of death.

why don’t you respond to comment nr. 8 from True Christian? He makes the very valid point that the US is rated 8th in the entire world when it comes to gun homicides.
Why is more guns the solution, when you can clearly see that in countries where guns aren’t legal the firearm homicide rate is on average around 500 times lower than in the US?
Knowing that you never respond to the comments where you actually have to engage in a discussion, I’m guessing you won’t answer this one either. Oh well, that only confirms your hypocrisy.

It saddens me to see this every time, a response to gun related violence being more guns. I am no fan of fire arms, but ultimately guns don’t kill people, people kill people – which i think is the best argument for gun control that there is. If only the sale of wepons was more regulated in the US, you wouldn’t see this happening anywhere near as often…

-I disagree… I can understand gun ownership for hunting, or for collection… *however* I feel that there’s *nobody* out there that needs to own anything fully-automatic, hell, even Semi-auto is a bit excessive for civilian use. I don’t think the answer is to have *no* guns, but to be smart about *which* guns people can get their hands on.

-THANK YOU! I’m sick of hearing how, when somebody snaps and starts killing, it’s one thing or another’s fault… We should be focused on repairing the damage, not on blaming each other.
I’ll agree that so long as there are guns, of any type, there’s the potential for shootings, but what if there weren’t any guns? It’d be foolish to think all the gangs would just shrug their shoulders and be friends, or that those ready to snap would be less violent…. They’d just find another way, another weapon… There’s no easy answer, unfortunately, but I think it would help if we were to regulate the *type* of guns for civilian purchase… It wouldn’t solve the problem, but it also wouldn’t anger the hunters or collectors, and without semi-auto, or fully-auto, weapons the damage caused by such a heinous act would be minimized… It’s not a perfect solution, but I don’t know what a perfect solution to this problem would be.

“had” to use the guns? There is something in that, that i find disurbing, because in almost no circumstance can i see any reason for” having” to use a gun in the strong sense. There are always other options. If you’re worried about your posessions, a good insurance policy will go a lot further to solving your problems than a gun – and you won’t have someone else’s blood on your hands.
