STR is winning awards for Jesus
I know many of you are still upset about the two “bloggers choice” awards that STR won: It seems that a bunch of biased liberals think we are the “Worst blog ever” and the “Most obnoxious blog“. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ died on the cross for daring to preach the truth, so I guess we can take a few petty insults and turn the other cheek.
This week STR was awarded a more appropriate and much appreciated honor: The highly coveted Common Cause Award has only been awarded once before (to the excellent blogs4conservatives), recognizes the bloggers which have done the most to advocate for Christian values internationally.
Unlike the idiotic “Blogger’s Choice” awards which permit any fool or ignoramus to vote, the Common Cause award is judged by a panel of Christians who run an excellent site called “The Way We See It“. They apply stric Biblical values in order to determine who is worthy. We had no idea we were even being considered for this singular honor, but now that we have won it we are delighted.
I can speak on behalf of Shelley and all of the other writers, editors, fact-checkers and corporate sponsors of Shelley The Republican that we thank Jesus for this wonderful award and hope that it will inspire other bloggers to speak up for God’s truth in the months to come before the election that could decide America’s ultimate fate.

So why am I so concerned about their nationality? Frankly *I’m* not but STR normally is… STR *hates* Britain, if you asked STR the Pastor was even speaking down to me in ‘British fag language’… yet they still accept the award.

Congratulations on your awards! Those weblog awards should not bother you much so long as they spell your web address correctly. Publicity is publicity.
And thank you for giving Blogs 4 Conservatives a little exposure on your busy site. It is a fairly new blog that is still building its credibility and readership. Starting a new blog is always hard at first.

Wraith, The Christian View site is very supportive of its American brothers, unlike most of Europe. Perhaps you don’t under stand the meaning of “common cause.”
I have had the opportunity to converse with Pastor Joshua via email and he is not your average American hating git. Far from it. It seems like he’s as American as any of us blokes.
WHY NOT, why don’t you try running your own blog and see how many awards you get. Shelley the Republican should be proud of their achievements. Your mockery sounds like sour grapes. Jealous much?

This is my first time stumbling on this blog, and I only had a short time to look through some of the posts here.
As an outsider, I can honestly say that your unreasonable hatred of Mrs. Shelley is so transparent in this one comment you made. I assume you made many more, but the short time I have does not allow me to read all the comments as well.
The Bible tells us to be so righteous that even our enemies cannot find fault in us. It’s clear that Mrs. Shelley’s accomplishments and her righteousness, literally, is so great that even the people that she condemn cannot find fault in her.
And when she (and her colleagues) graciously accepts the acknowledgement, you condemn her of hypocrisy.
Well, if this proves anything, it shows that the posters at this blog have much work left to do. Since it seems there is still one adversary that seems to be able to find faults with them, no matter how false the accusation may be.
I just want to end my rather longish comment with this: Everyone at shelleytherepublican.com, you are doing great job! Don’t let naysayers like Wraith, to whom the concept of “rationes” is clearly alienae. Let your work before the Lord be your own justification, and just remember: those who do not receive rewards for their efforts will receive them in Heaven, and those who seek rewards in this world will go empty-handed in the next life, for they have already gotten theirs.

Well said, StrongMan. Great commentary. And you nailed it. There are a lot of unhinged commenters here whose only purpose in life seems to be to hurl cruel insults at Shelley and the STR.com Team for simply having different, strong held opinions than they do.
It certainly says more about STR’s critics than it does about STR. “Tolerant” liberals just can’t seem to tolerate opinions that do not match theirs. But they can’t help it, I guess. It’s who they are.

even allowing that you are using “rationes” rather than “rationis” or “rationum” because you put it in direct quotes (nice way to get around words you can’t decline correctly, by the way), you should have either used “aliena” or “concepts”.
