Let’s cut-back on wasteful Federal spending

One of the reasons I love working for ShelleyTheRepublican is that you get to meet great people with great ideas. For instance in a recent ShelleyPAC prayer-circle dedicated to formulating a policy platform for our next Republican Presidency, my good Friend Billy suggested a great way to cut some of the Federal fat left over from previous misguided Democratic governments:

We should simply abolish all the wasteful Federal agencies, starting with that famous money-pit Center for Disease Control.

Billy didn’t say much about the idea at the time – He was buys explaining about the liberal conspiracy to put mind-control drugs and flouride in our water supplies.

I guess he had bigger issues to deal with so to him it was just another great idea of the hundreds of great ideas that pop into his mind every minute. But for a guy like me when you see a great idea you gotta go for it. And this sure is a great, truly Conservative idea – the sort of idea that is the hallmark of a serious Presidential contender.

If you didn’t get round to subscribing to Billy’s audio ministry, why don’t you do that right now. It will give you a chance to listen to the short commentary I’m talking about.

Billy starts from the sensible and correct observation that there are no sexually transmitted diseases in the Bible. There’s no need for federally mandated HPV vaccines and no secularist evolutionists explaining that we should love the bacteria because they are our common ancestors: The simple fact is that all those diseases did not exist back then because God had not yet unleashed those punishments.

So why should we abolish the Center for Disease control? For starters, it’s precisely the kind of government fat that a true conservative would cut away. Public health is precisely the sort of thing that should be entrusted to Churched-based local charities. Where in the constitution does it say that Federal government has a monopoly over diseases?

We can all agree that disease control is firstly no business of federal government: If it has to be run by government then it ought to be the domain of the states. The Federal CDC forces state health officers to adopt their flawed secularist evolutionary perspective. I’d like to give states the option to base their strategies on proven Biblical principles.

The bible teaches us that all we need to cure disease is the power of prayer – so why are we spending billions in federal hand-outs for Medicaire, SCHIP and other unnecessary health-handouts? These wasteful federal programs are diverting funds away from the War on Global Terrorism, which surely must be our number 1 priority!

I really think this is too good an idea to waste – our constitution must be defended form every cry-baby liberal that thinks it’s a federal problem every time an infant barfs, or cuts his pinkie on a toy. When will they learn to take responsibility for their own self-inflicted problems.

As Billy correctly point out – the cause of disease is sin. If we live our lives as Christ expects there would be no more disease.

I don’t see why the government should take my hard earned money in taxes to give it to those who’s wickedness has caused all manner of demonic possession known as disease and try to cure them with ungodly secular medicine when we all know that all they have to do is let Jesus into their hearts.

The sooner we end this gravy train, the better

    “ungodly secular medicine”

God gave us the metal capacity and ability to make these medicines. How is something that God gave us the ability to make “unGodly”.

just so long as Gordon Brown doesn’t do it in the UK i couldn’t give a fuck.

But You are stupid. Praying doesn’t work. I should know! I prayed fro My Granddad for his cancer to disappear, now he’s six feet under! I prayed for my Nan to overcome her Alzheimers, my whole family did! It neevr worked.

PRAYING IS BULLSHIT! and if you think otherwise, then i’ll be there at your loved ones funerals, sitting there sayin I told you so.

At what point did ‘conservative’ became a synonym for ‘idiotic’?

I’ve read two of these.. should I call them ‘articles’? and I’m frankly disappointed. You call yourselves Catholics and Christians… doesn’t your religion teach you to care for one another? To be forgiving and understanding? Yet, since Christ died, you people have been doing it all wrong!! You judge Muslims and Jews and what not… may I remind you Jesus himself was a Jew??

I was born in a Catholic family and I became an atheist at eleven… and you people are proving me right!

Praying is a sort of comfort, I can understand that, but it does nothing for illness… A diease such as AIDS or Cancer was indeed brought upon us by ourselves, but going by your religion’s logic, your God gave predators fangs and claws to hunt with and their prey mechanisms to save themselves… therefore, since we can’t turn virtually invisible and we most certainly don’t have fangs or claws ro fight with, “He” gave us a BRAIN to work with… so we’re able to create cures and such… PRAYING DOES NOT WORK… a toddler who cut his finger on a toy? Put a band-aid… a toddler who was diagnosed with APL (a type of Cancer) at say… five?? And that was brought upon him or her by sin? WHAT bloody sin can you commit at FIVE?

THINK before you writ something, you fanatical idiot… It’s sad to see what ‘humanity’ has come to.. a bunch of egoistical bastards with aboslutely no pity in their hearts, no empathy whatsoever and a bloody pc to type bullshit sitting comfortably in a chair… while people out there are dying for reasons that are completely beyonf their control. What astounds me the most is that these people still PRAY to god for a job with which to feed their family….

… and then get judged and looked down upon for stealing or taking illegal jobs when said god fails to answer their prayers and their children are hlf starved and ill

Instead of sitting there and spitting out bullshit, hunny, go out there and DO SOMETHING for the world you live in… get your hands dirty and have a real grasp of what’s going on out there instead of claiming it’s all ‘sin’s fault’. If I recall my Religion classes correctly, that is precisely what Jesus did, didn’t he?

I think it’s a sad day for the world when a 16 year old girl realizes this, and no one else does…

    Ta da..

1)I’m pretty sure that people who have contracted HIV/AIDS have already prayed that it would go away…yeah, i don’t think that went very well.

2)Tell me, what would happen if there were no programs for health care and everyone who was was fighting this “War on Global Terrorism” died?

    3)you misspelled Medicare.
