The reason was, if the States (plus some western states) would attack this state, we will have a third worldwar. China and Russia would support Iran with nuclear weapons. An other example was Vietnam - I was in school as the war in Vietnam began in the mid 60ies. It was easy for the States to nuke North Vietnam (the Vietcongs). But they didn`t. Around 10 years later they left Vietnam, it was in april 1975. I was wondering, why the states didn`t nuke N-Vietnam. Because the Soviet Union and China. It is a monarchy, therefore our Head of Government is the Prime Minister. Also, that’s the same with Canada. It isn’t a republic, therefore its leader is the Prime Minister.
