This is so stupid! First, Doctor Who is the best TV show I’ve ever seen. Secondly, nearly all your facts are either completely inaccurate or blown out of proportion. For example, Chris Eccleston left because his contract ran out, Billie Piper didn’t leave until after the second series, and where on earth did you get the idea that Billie Piper was a Christian singer? She was a pop singer, idiot. Also, the Doctor does not kidnap people, and his companions enjoy the trips he takes them on. To quote Billie’s character Rose: “The Doctor showed me a better way of living your life. That you don’t just give up. You don’t just let things happen. You make a stand, you say no. You have the guts to do what’s right when everyone else just runs away!” Maybe next time you decide to write about a show being crappy or a bad influence, you should watch the actual show first, and do some research!

Im having trouble trying to figure out if this is a joke or you are the most closed-minded, ignorant american prick… I hope from the picture of Collen Baker and Nicola Bryant, and even Tom Baker, that it is… if it is not a joke, then i just lost that much more respect, not just of my fellow country men, but man kind as a whole… why do you have to make the US look worse then it is… your making it that much harder for those of us who actually use their brains… and just so you know I am a Huge Dr. Who fan… I have watched it since i was 13 when i found my dad collection of 40 home recored Dr Who episodes… from Patrick Troughton to Sylvester McCoy… To the Fox Movie… and the new series… but I am also a Christian… you this crap that people like you put out, joke or not, are make us look bad… same as the the US stuff i wrote before… so keep your mouth shut and stop trying to stuff your fanatic Right wing shit in other peoples faces… you just make your cause look bad… prick

DR WHO is about as sexless as you can get. It’s certainly a damn sight more wholesome than the neverending stream of porn that comes out of the United States these days!

The main character, The Doctor, almost never gets romantically involved with his Companions. (Compare that with Captain James “Tomcat” Kirk!)

And the author of this blog has the cheek to criticise the U.K.??

But this comment from the Blog writer takes the cake;

Steven Hawking appeared in STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION – not DR WHO!! And even if Hawking did make an appearance in DR WHO – ‘Davros’ is an entirely different character.

You people haven’t a clue, do you??

And it has been on American tv for years….. re: “…to prevent offensive language and unpleasant ideas from being aired on TV” – Wow, yeah, I guess we would never want anyone, anywhere to experience an unhappy thought….who needs the real world anyway?!??

Just to update this thread, Billie Piper was finally allowed back on to television by the BBC’s rival ITV. However she was cast as a prostitute and the show depicted and encouraged all sorts of degenerate sexual behaviour. Shame on her.

Meanwhile Dr Who has continued to debase the nation’s children. It says a lot about the BBC that they would encourage the director of Queer as Folk to introduce bisexual storylines into a children’s program. And they pay for all this out of godfearing tasxpayers’ money, as they have the right to demand hundreds of pounds for a TV license, money which they waste on programs like this and huge, champagne and cocaine-fuelled orgies. Disgusting.

Wow. While I am all for family values, at least be well informed, or at least have the correct actors credited. Who you show as Rose and the doctor, are in fact actors from the 1980s. Billie Piper is actually quite a successful actress in the UK now, after leaving after the second (NOT first) season. Both she and eccleston (as well as current Doctor David Tennant) are incredibly proud of the program, as well as Russell T. Davies. the program has been around since 1963 and is as much a british cultural icon as James Bond, or Sherlock Holmes. It is a family show broadcast at 7pm on saturday nights intended for the entire british family, especially children. Of course he has a british accent, as it is a british show and to the BBC that is NOT a foreign accent. In fact the scottish born, american raised John Barrowman who plays Captain Jack Harkness plays the foreign character- an American.

Doctor Who is in fact an incredibly inspirational and valuable program. It is jam packed with heart, friendship, and heroism. It favors intelligence in the face of violence. And it was Rose who put it best when she told of what she learned from the Doctor:

“The Doctor showed me a better way of living your life. You know, he showed you too. You don?¢‚Ç¨?°?É‚Äû?É¬¥t just give up. You don?¢‚Ç¨?°?É‚Äû?É¬¥t just let things happen. You make a stand. You say no! You have the guts to do what?¢‚Ç¨?°?É‚Äû?É¬¥s right when everyone else just runs away!”

Dr. Who is a classic. The show is by now several decades old. You?Ç¬¨?Ç¬•re a bit slow, aren?Ç¬¨?Ç¬•t ya?

Why would an alien have a foreign accent? And why would an alien travel to a boring place like England?

Why would he be speaking any human language at all? And why would he land in any hospitable area?

Otherwise, the normal STR-drivel…

There were not one, but two shows about snakes: Blackadder and Monty Python. Why would these horrible Brits want to terrify helpless, impressionable American children with snakes? Don?¢‚Ç¨?°?É‚Äû?É¬¥t they realize that the Bible (which all American children read, or should be made to) starts off with a rather scary story involving a snake?

Black Adder and Monthy Python are comedies! One is about a man named Black Adder, the other one is the name of an english comedian esemble. The search for the holy grail, ah, that were good times. (Persisting Black Knight, anyone?)

You need to do your research better. Dr Who has been around for decades, Russell T Davies just writes the new series.

The doctors look different because everytime he is close to death he regenerates into a different looking character.

Its a shame kids nowadys don’t actually know how to use reaserch the articles they write.
