Congressman Poe was just stating General Forrest's greatness on the field of battle, and his battle tatics.Very few generals in any war with his battlefield record, are his equal.

I don??ɂİ?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t mind someone quoting Nathan Bedford Forrest. As long as the quotes fit, you can qoute whoever you want.

The rest of his speech is lunatic, though. More troops and more money. That only equals to more targets for the insurgents. You could not bring Iraq under control with a million soldiers. Luckily, the democratic congress will not allow any further funds before a timetable for the exit is presented.

MY personal opinion about Mr. Forrest: Good soldier, dood tactician, decent officer. But as a human he was a rascistic bastard to boot. I can hardly feel any pity for such a person.

I just do not see what is so bad about quoting one of America's most revered historical figures. Lieberals hate it that we take a moment to remember the great Americans who struggled so we could have our freedom.

Nathan was a great Christian, Patriot and the original culture-warrior. We would do well to emulate his contribution to America.
