Briefly Patriotic – Kids: Smoking or Anal Sex?

morlboro_man2.jpg

If you were a government school teacher who taught kids that it was ok to put a gun to your head and pull the trigger, you might get fired.? If you handed out cigarettes in your classroom and taught the little tykes how to light up, you definitely get fired.? And if you taught your students that anal sex with someone of your own gender was a perfectly legitimate lifestyle choice, well, you?d probably get teacher of the year.? Chances are that none of that will change even though a new report conclusively proves that homosexuality is more dangerous than smoking.? Paul and Kirk Cameron found that gay marriage reduces your lifespan by 24 years while smoking only cut off a measly one to seven years.? So would you rather have your children taught how to be the Marlboro Man or a dead married homosexual?

by the way redneck…. your second link is broken, ya know.. where the “full” report is. the only thing you’ve “cited” is another idiot writing drivel for the public.. I asked to see the sources, meaning actual evidence and reports. You can’t give it to me because it doesn’t exist.

I dont understand, you say smoking is good?, and recycling is bad?, what about killing the whales?
(You are all crazy, but you are the minority and are old, very old, only with energy to use the keyboard…)

Don’t have a hissy fit, Mary, lie-berals never make mistake, do they? Federal Distortion Of Homosexual Footprint (Ignoring Early Gay Death?)

No one’s really proven that smoking is bad for you. The point is that there’s scientific evidence that gayness kills and they still teach it in school.

hhhaaaaaa hhaaaaa, ow iv not been on here for a while but man, i have really missed the bullshit you complete morons dream up. its been a while since iv had a good laugh like that. poeple like u Billy BOB Neck are the reason the average american is 90. thats the equivlent to what the rest of the world uses, usually the highest score is 170 and the average IQ is 100 but americas IQ ranges go over 200, try to make your IQs seem higher than they really are by extending the ranges so the averga eamerican IQ goes up to 100 giving the appearance that you are as inteligent as the rest of the world.

What do you mean by “No one?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s really proven that smoking is bad for you”? I’m not going to question if “gayness” is actually good or bad for your health, but smoking definitely IS bad! It’s been proven that tobacco smoking causes heart attack, emphysema, cancer, shortens your lifespan, yellows your teeth, et cetera ad nauseam… Cigarettes contain roughly 4000 known prejudicial substances (those are only the known ones). If that isn’t bad for you, I don’t know what is then…

Wow, that was the fastest Google discrediting of your sources I’ve ever seen. This “Dr.” sounds like a real piece of work:

The science and profession of psychology in Nebraska as represented by the Nebraska Psychological Association, formally dissociates itself from the representations and interpretations of scientific literature offered by Dr. Paul Cameron in his writings and public statements on sexuality. Further, the Nebraska Psychological Association would like it known that Dr. Cameron is not a member of the Association. Dr. Cameron was recently dropped from membership in the American Psychological Association for a violation of the Preamble to the Ethical Principles of Psychologists.

[Nebraska Psychological Association. (1984, October 19). Resolution. Minutes of the Nebraska Psychological Association.

The only way being gay reduces your lifespan by 24 years is because extremists like you spout off your propaganda and get everyone all riled up. Then the people who are more ignorant than you, the ones that actually believe you, go out and kill gays.

OR you can stop being gay. Y’all just don’t never use logic, do ya?

  15. Susanne R. April 5th, 2007 4:47 AM

redneck…. you BONE HEAD! Logic escapes you, doesnt it? People are supposed to stop being gay (and any other thing YOU dont approve of) so biggot losers like you dont hurt them? Please! Well, I dont approve of YOU and my god is better than your god…. so in a NUTshell, I should beat your ass because I dont think you’re living right. Boy are *you* lucky that I was raised to keep my hands to myself… although you’re reeeeeeeally testing the waters of logic in my brain lately.

    I only posted 5 times

I’m quite sure they don’t teach homosexuality in schools. Well, at least in the sense you are trying to portray. And I am very certain when they are teaching the kids that this “lifestyle” exists, they don’t talk about how they practice sex.

  18. Cory McC April 6th, 2007 11:53 PM

    Really???

First of all, I want to apologize to the writer of this article for the people who do in-fact have a differing opinion, but portrayed it in such a rude way.

I myself differ from the author of this piece, but would like to argue it out like adults instead of mudslinging back and forth like some people.

Let me make it clear to you that I am a Republican and a Lutheran, but I have to disagree with you on this issue. Let me just make a list of all the things that I have to say about this article:

    1. Kirk Cameron? I think you will have to find a more legitimate source for a doctor than the son of a psychologist on one of my favorite sitcoms “Growing Pains.”

    2. Being homosexual isn’t exactly a choice(although it is debatable), unlike smoking cigarettes or marijuanna or whatever.

    3. Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer in both men and women in the United States. Cancer in general is the second leading cause of death in the U.S., only to heart disease. So basically what I am saying here is that even if Kirk Cameron(Mike Seaver) is correct with his statistics, it happens in far fewer numbers then does lung cancer.

    4. While I am not gay and am not a gay activist, I am not a homophobe. I respect their decision to be homosexual. Why do I respect that decision??? Read on.

    5. Then said Jesus, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do …”

    ~Luke 23:34

“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned, forgive, and ye shall be forgiven.”

    ~Luke 6:37~

“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.”

    ~1 John 3:11~

Just think about that for a minute. Do you think Jesus was excluding homosexuals from these statements? I don’t think so. Do you? If you do, then consider Mary Magdalene. She was a prostitute, yet it appeared to me that Jesus loved her anyway!

u talk about god and jesus. that the bible is against gays…..but moses was a homosexual…..haha, i pitty you

  20. Susanne R. April 7th, 2007 8:55 AM

Cory, Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute. She was painted that way in order to erase female lineage from the bible. do your homework. :)

  21. Jack Ripoff April 8th, 2007 3:13 PM

    She was an adulterer anyway…

  22. Cory McC April 8th, 2007 8:21 PM

This one is to Susanne R. April and tripp:

Susanne, if you feel that Mary Magdalene was painted that way in order to erase femaile lineage from the bible, than why do you even believe The Bible? Couldn’t the entire thing be “painted that way” to make us believe it? But, you make a good case for that little bit of info. But if that is the only beef that you have with my post, than I am happy, bc it really doesn’t matter whether or not she was a prostitute. The point I was trying to make there was that Jesus loves ALL of us!

tripp, what in the world are you talking about? Here is the reply that you wrote:
“u talk about god and jesus. that the bible is against gays?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?..but moses was a homosexual?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?..haha, i pitty you”

First of all, I wrote the exact opposite from what you accused me of. If you can show me where I said that The Bible is against gays, I would appreciate it. The point that I was trying to make was that even if you are gay, Jesus loves you anyway. That’s why I told you to read those verses. And the whole Moses being gay thing; I have never heard that in my life and it is going to take more than a guy who writes in all lower case letters to convince me of that!

    KEEP THE REPLYS COMING!

    -Cory McC

  23. Cory McC April 8th, 2007 8:27 PM

Okay Susan, you win, Mary Magdalene was probably not a prostitute. In fact, the Roman Catholic Church looks at her as a saint!

  24. Susanne R. April 9th, 2007 9:27 AM

Cory, I never said I believed in the Bible…. Let me elaborate… I believe that Jesus was here..I believe that he walked his talk.. I view him as more of a Ghandi type… I do not agree with the way the Bible was assembled and do find that most of the books contained in the Bible were changed to fit the era in which it was written, or completely left out. Theologists will tell you the same…

What I do find hard to wrap my head around is the fact that so many Christians ignore this… they also ignore that everything in nature has male and female aspects… if not positive and negative aspects… or all of the above.. why would we assume that “god” would be any different? I will agree that nothing on this Earth would equal any god or deity… and the “All” is supreme… I could go on and on about my views of religion (all of them) trust me.

It’s ok.. I respect others religions… if Christianity works for people, then their God is happy. If Wicca works for others, their Goddess is happy. All paths lead to the Divine.. no matter how you package it. As long as we are all living right and treating others with respect and dignity, then we will all have happiness and satisfaction in the next world.

    Peace- Susanne

I am with you 100% on that last paragraph; it is completely ludacris to think that a person like Buddah would not go to heaven(or the next life that is happy) solely because he’s not labled as “christian.”

    amen

  27. Susanne R. April 10th, 2007 7:32 AM

Cory, you would be amazed at what some people think. I had this argument with a born again christian once… I asked him to imagine this for a moment: a child molestor and a buddhist monk. The child molestor harms at least 3 children and goes to jail for it. He then finds Jesus. The Buddhist monk harms no one through his entire life, not even a blade of grass…. he lives a pure and peaceful life. Both of them die… which one is going to heaven (I know, this is reading like a bad joke)…..?

The born again’s answer? The child molestor will go to heaven because he found Christ. The Buddhist monk will burn in hell because he has not accepted Christ.

I was stunned. His reasoning was so warped. I decided to throw a wrench in the works… I asked him how he would feel if he learned that the only reason the child molestor “found christ” was to make certain that he didnt burn in hell.

His answer (to my delight and to his later embarrassment)…. “You can’t fool God..if he really didnt mean it, god would know. Jesus only sees what’s in your heart, he doesnt hear words”. As soon as those words came from his lips, he realized what I was trying to tell him… it doesnt matter what label we give ourselves and god doesnt subscribe to labels. It’s how we act, treat others and what’s in our hearts… on that basis, he finally agreed that the monk would go to heaven.

One little triumph for understanding religion and god.. yes?

:) Thanks for being so open minded Cory.
