Dixie Chicks, you owe ‘W’ an apology

The Dixie-Chicks: They insulted our President. They insulted America. They are Osama’s biggest supporters in Country Music.
Not so long ago those liberal harlots, the “Dixie Chicks” insulted our president and said all kinds of unhinged things. They said he was wrong to try to bring peace to the Iraqis. They said he was wrong to care about all the WMDs that islamofascists hid from us before the war against Saddam. They said we were wrong to bring Saddam to justice.
But the real reason why every mainstream stations quit playing the Chicks in 2003 was because ultra-leftist singer Natalie Maines told a London audience: “Just so you know, we’re ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas”. Almost overnight, Maines became a lightning rod in the debate over the Iraq war, with sensible Americans outraged at her unprovoked criticizm of our President, especially while on foreign soil. Everybody now knows that the Dixie Chicks are Texas’ only openly pro-terrorist country group.
The Right Brothers: Somebody explain to me why their hit debut album was not even nominated for a Grammy award? The Grammy awards are notable only for their absurd pro-liberal bias by ignoring great bands like this.
And that’s why we at Shelley The Republican were not the least bit surprised to see that they won this year’s annual award for liberal troublemakers, “The Grammy”. Previous winners have included Satanist rapper M&Ms, and former convicted felon, “Dr Dray”. I often wonder why the Grammies are never awarded to the inspirational musicians that Billy Bob Neck plays on his show, or great bands like the Right Brothers who have the courage to stand for difficult issues like the war in Iraq.
Why do rap-singers like M&Ms (pictured above) insist on corrupting youth with their obscene language full of sexually explicit cuss words? It’s a well-known fact that rap-music is the terrorist’s favourite genre: The beat works them up into an anti-american frenzy. All rap-songs are designed to encourage violence, crime and homosexuality.
Why do the Grammy award get given to musicians who dis-respect our president at a time of war? Dont the Grammy award committe understand that they are encouraging terrorists?
It’s time to be proud of all the Joy and Freedom America has brought to the Middle-East. It’s time for the Dixie Chicks to apologize to President George W. Bush.
We Americans are a proud and peaceful people. We value God, Our Families and most of all, we value the Truth. Those are the three foundations upon which the modern Republican party has been built and thats why I am proud to be a member. I like to think that we are a tolerant and forgiving people, one disposed to fairness and gentility above all other virtues, but as with anything in life, there has to be limits.

You do realize that all musicians have literally sold their souls to the devil? They have to be evil and oppose the war on Islam! It’s written in their contract. In human blood.
If you could stop being so self centred and arrogant for a second you’d realise that most people from all over the world share the same views regarding George Bush as the Dixie Chicks. People all over, especially here in England, think George Bush is an ignorant, stupid and greedy man, and the feeling, time and again of polls here in the UK, is “HOW ON EARTH IS HE PRESIDENT?!?!?!”. Honest to God, have you even listened to their album “Taking The Long Way”? Probably not- and I’m telling you that it is a brilliant, both musically AND lyrically, album. That is why they won- it is such a strong, rich album that it really is worthy of “album of the year”. Brilliant hooks, catchy choruses, meaningful lyrics, a rich texture and a real sense of togetherness of the songs (creating a united product rather than a colection of songs) make “Taking the Long Way”.

Meanwhile, are military is strapped, and the fight in Afghanistan – which was the noble, right cause – is falling apart. Is some 70 percent of the country just wrong on this? When you have to ponder the validity of death threats posted against the Chicks on message boards, when you read the constant vicious and hateful personal attacks against them and us fans.
When you are a long-time very supportive fan of a band that someone has the intolerance and ignorance to label a “pro-terrorist country group”, or when you witness the lengths undertaken to silence these three American musicians.
When you have to watch someone you so much cherish and admire having their careers and lives destroyed and villified right before your very eyes, maybe then you can question whether or not you really feel qualified to preach about the ideals and beliefs you have posted as “tolerant” and “peaceful”.
Because I can assure you, there is no peacefulness or tolerance in the backlash against the Chicks. Small correction – and in a post so full of errors, this was hard to narrow down – but The Right Brothers weren’t nominated because of the cut-off period that the Grammy association has year in and year out(in addition to having a hate-filled album that Sean Hannity and Ann Coulter could have penned, no skill there). No conspiracy there I’m afraid. But hey, everything else on the site is littered with mis-information, so you obviously think you’re onto a good thing.
The Dixie Chicks won because unlike the CMA insularity, the award went to their musical skill, not their ability to express their right (even though you think it was the ‘wrong’ speech) to speak out.
