It?s more of a Thought Crime Bill.? Under this bill, you?ll spend more time in jail for killing a gay then you will for killing a sweet little old grandmother walking home from the store with cat food to feed her kitty.? Let me just make this clear ? you will spend more time in jail for killing a gay who tried to have sex with you then some crackhead who beats a little old grandmother?s head in for the pocket change in her purse.? It?s time to cut this crap out.? ALL crimes are hate crimes.? It?s time to stop giving preferential treatment to sissy boys just because they don?t know how to fight back.? And it?s time to stop playing on people?s emotions and see crime for what it is ? Crime.

It is not about of who you kill but about why you kill. In any cases you will go to jail. If court prove that your act was motivated by hatred to social group(homosexuals, retired people, children..), you should spend more time in jail to reform yourself.
You can kill someone by accident, or under pressure, or compulsion, in self defense. It is all ways to diversify act of killing.
Some christians thinks, that even killing in self-defense is unacceptable.

And of course, the motive of a crime should count. Self-defense is perhaps a bettermotivation to kill someone than doing it out of hate, greed or something like that.

Vash, retired people and children are not covered by the hate crimes bill, and neither are white people. Which is quite tragic, since blacks commit more “hate crimes” against whites than vice versa.
The bill is designed to protect so called “minorities,” and noone else.
Myself, I believe murderers should be treated as murderers regardless who they killed or why they killed.
The “hate crime” bill will not only make it a major felony to commit even a minor assault against members of “politically correct” protected groups exclusively,but it will also be a felony to engage in “hate speech”(biased speech) that offends them! Everyone should really read up on this bill before they spout off about it. I have read the bill and Danny Ditto and Asembler is absolutley right. Everyone must please contact Congress and tell them if they vote for this bill we will vote them out. This is just another way to take our rights away from us.
