The original Constitution called for excise tax,tariffs,impost and duties but not income tax! @Danny Dito i don’t read articles like the one you highly recommend i also will not read an aticle if it’s anti american. i strongly believe people should pay income taxes i also believe pay who do not pay taxes should be jailed for not paying their taxes. i’m sorry danny dito and STR but as an upstanding tax payer i will not read that article neither you danny dito or STR will ever change my mind on the subject.i strongly believe people should pay taxes and i stand by that belief now and forever and danny dito and STR i don’t give a fuck what you think of my belief in income tax cause you can kiss my ass.

Let us bypass the point that “defenseless” is not a hyphenated word and address the more horrific stupidity here. This argument – that “only criminals own guns” in a society where they are illegal – is totally untrue and ridiculous. However, those who own guns in violation of the law are perhaps committing a serious crime, thus they would be considered at least nominally “criminal”. But the larger point here is that law enforcement in every nation is authorized to have firearms (albeit in some countries they are not carried by common patrolmen). Let’s face it, people who write this “Shelly the Republican” nonsense learn nothing at all from the fact that England, France, Canada and many other modern democracies have strong gun control laws and also have much lower gun crime rates, crime rates, and murder rates (and all this with no death penalty too!!!). This fact is meaningless to somebody fully indoctrinated into the religion of oppression-advocating misantrhopy (even while they fancy themselves “Christians”).

Part of being a bona fide reactionary depends on persisting with sophistry and adamant obscurantism. Fear is not cured by logic or reason, but by spiritual religion and wisdom.)

I am very sure that Christ never asked his disciples to purchase swords or weapons. He was not building an army! He did, however, instructed his disciples to be merciful and loving toward others, even the ones who hate and kill them. ——-
I am not an American, (I’m a Canadian) and therefore do not really have the experience to be able to determine the problems or advantages with the gun control laws. However, I do have a growing understanding of scripture and I do believe that God did not promote this kind of aggressive self defense.
