I just have to say, wow. If you read that many books on the subject,
A) I’d think you’d have the facts right
B) all that reading should have helped out your grammar…

I am a christian, and I feel like you didn’t do this as a christian piece, but instead just to try and make America look better than greece. Because there is nothing christian about this. It is full of hate and lies, and I am personally upset that the words ‘christian’ is attached to this. No wonder non christians see us as a bunch of uptight pricks who don’t know a thing they are talking about. Before trying to get job, I suggest you get some schooling, because it doesn’t seem you have the level of knowledge to be hired into any sort of capable position. I’d also pray for God’s forgiveness, as you seem to have taken it upon yourself to judge the world, when that is expressly stated as ONLY the Lord’s position. Please, post nothing else on the internet. Ever.

I’m currently a student studying the classics in high school, and what you wrote is just ridiculous. However, the thing that is most upsetting to me is how you labeled Michaelangelo’s David as a piece of “Greek perversion” when 1) Michaelangelo was Italian, 2) That statue was made during the Renaissance, several centuries after the fall of Ancient Greece, and, most importantly, 3) David is a sculpture of David, as in, King David from the Bible. I’m not a devout Christian or anything, but I’m pretty sure he’s important.

So what if the statue is naked? Freaking out about a penis is just immature. Also, homosexuality was around before the Ancient Greeks, and it’s pretty cool in my book.

But don’t worry, I’m sure God still loves you, despite not following the major rules of Christianity. You know, the one’s that tell you not to judge, and to love others regardless.

This is, frankly, the most ill-informed, poorly researched, twisted and misinterpreted “article” I’ve ever read. I don’t think any point you made was correct. The dozen books you read must have been significantly outdated and selected for the authors personal overtones and assumptions (that are clearly giant leaps without any substantiation).

How could you say statues like this one could be found everywhere in ancient Greece. Like this how?
THIS IS A STATUE OF KING DAVID AS A YOUTH- RIGHT FROM THE BIBLE YOU DOLT MADE 2000 YEARS AFTER ANCIENT GREECE.
It is regarded by true Christians, who posses a certain amount of literacy, as an inspired religious masterpiece!!
AND formally it was NOT made in the same style of the Greco-Roman period.
IF you read all these books you would know that the statues(unlike the David) in ancient Greece were PAINTED- every school child is told this!!!
