Liberal Myths Debunked: The Defecit

Those of you who get your news from biased liberal news-sources like CNN, may have not heard the news that last month’s Dow Jones Industrial average peaked at a record 12000, a spectacular rise from the sluggish value at the end of the Clinton Presidency. The reason most liberal news-agencies suppressed this fact was that they hate to broadcast good news.
I found this image on CNN’s finance section. Why is it that they never use it to report our economic good news? Why are Democrats so down on America?
The DJIA is just about the only indicator of economic performance that economists use today. It’s a measure of the productivity of the top 1000 companies in the USA. If the top companies are getting wealthier, it’s the sign of a healthy economy ? it means we are all better off and can look forwards to prosperity. But why aren’t liberals sharing in our celebrations? Firstly, they cannot stand to see America succeed, however there’s another reason: Liberals are afraid of something called ?The Defect?.
STR Fact File: What is the DJIA? The DJIA is what we financial types called an ?index?, that is a portfolio of companies whose combined performance reflects some aspect of the performance of the economy as a whole. The DJIA represents America’s economy much as the Rapture Index represents America’s morality. If this defecit is so bad, how come it’s not affecting the DJIA?
As with other liberal scare-stories (like Global Warming), once you get to know the facts behind this ?Defect?, we realize that it’s nothing to be frightened of. It’s just a big old scary word the ultra-left made up for what amounts to a plain old bank-loan.
A defect is like you and me borrowing on a credit-card, or perhaps taking out a mortgage to buy a ranch. Liberals get upset because they don’t think America can afford to pay off these small debts, of course they are wrong. It may be that we don’t ever need to pay off the defect for the simple reason that when the Rapture and Tribulations begin, there wont be anybody left to pay back!
Every Republican knows that having a slight deficit is a very healthy and natural thing for a huge country like ours. The reason why liberals are talking this down is because they have a negative approach to life because they don’t have God in their hearts! Most Christians agree that the Rapture is coming, so why not just borrow money now? It’s great! i’m going to get a loan tomorrow!
We Republicans like to call this new economics ?Rapturenomics?, because unlike Clinton-era financial planning, we conservatives like to base our financial policy on all available information. George W. Bush regularly consults preachers and churchmen in addition to the so-called economists, and the financial results speak for themselves.
What does the Rapture mean for the American economy? We may already be in the middle of a pre-rapture boom. Enterprising companies like Second Coming Clothing (The official clothing retailer of STR.com) are already marketing a range of rapture-ready garments. These Christians sell tough outfits for pre-tribulation culture-warriors.
Each pair of pants includes a certificate of authenticity, your choice of sacred verse inscribed on the belt-buckle and an over-sized Bible pocket.
The Defect is just great ? borrowing money not only makes us richer, it creates work for America’s financial sector ? perhaps the single biggest contributor to our gross domestic product (GDP). It also allows us to finance our improved armies and fight the war on terror.
What use is money in the bank when the End-times come? What we need are guns and lots of them! Liberals call it Debt, but we Republicans recognise it as other nations’s desire to invest in our booming economy.
The simple fact is that if George W Bush decided that it was time to reduce the national debt he could do so in a moment. We fought and won the war on terror – paying off a bank loan is nothing compared to defeating Saddam and Osama. America is not “addicted” to borrowing, like the liberals claim. We could give up any minute if we wanted to, it’s just that we dont WANT to reduce the defficit, because it’s working out just great for us. Liberals ignore all the economic benefits that the defecit brings.
Liberals keep shouting about the “Defect”, and if we didn’t have God’s reassurance that everything was going to work out okay then we Republicans would be worried too, but the simple fact that God is in charge of the economy, and America is doing better than ever.

Borrowing is good for the people who loan the money. Many of the people that do are everyday citizens like you and me.
I do think that Bush was too liberal with the spending though, liberals would spend just as much, but they would tax the crap out of us to do it and drag the economy to the floor. I think a cat would make a better president because a cat wouldn’t do anything. But at least we don’t kerry and edwards. (when liberals are this full of crap you need two johns)
You seem to have as fine a grasp of economics as you do of IT – or Informatique, as we French call it, just to amuse little Shelley. How, exactly, would he reduce the national debt ‘in a moment’?

I don’t really understand all this because I’ve been up all night taking drugs, but it seems like total bull to me. The private sector is evil! Why can’t the state do it all. i’d pay taxes if i thought it was going to do that.

I read this and thought “what great satire” but as I continued to read it, I think (the operative word) that the OP is actually being serious. I can’t even think of words to describe the level of stupidity, innaccuracy and ignorance that this post contains. It does show, however, how people who have a tribal affiliation to religion, nationalism or party will swallow any amount of crap their leaders tell them. God is in charge of the American economy? What a dolt.
Typical liberals resorting to ad-hominem attacks instead of dealing with the issues. You claim that my article is full of inaccuracy, however you have failed to state a single flaw with my argument.
It’s like the climate change dispute all over again. If you want mainstream America to take you liberals seriously, why not come up with some facts to back up your outrageous position?
We should be familiar with this pattern now: Democrats always resort to scare tactics just before the elections. We Republicans are the party of calm reassurance and common sense.

I just think it’s great that we’re talking about the “defect”. I’m not quite sure who is defecting or what they’re defecting from, but i guess it doesn’t matter since i have no found out the defect is just a libral lie. Maybe a mass amount of republicans are defecting from the republican party and swinging congress to the librals next week. maybe that’s what he’s talking about.
Tristan, i have a GREAT idea for an article. You should talk about the national deficit and stop wasting your time on this confusing defect. I would enjoy hearing your views on the deficit. I bet you think we should just be completely dishonest and get as much money as we can because we won’t have to pay it back and when the “rapture” comes we have the honor of having to explain to god howcome we never paid back any of our debt. I THINK that if you “borrow” money and never pay it back, that’s called stealing. And i THINK one of the ten commandments IS Thou Shalt NOT steal. OOOOOOO NO!!! All of America is going to HELL!!!! We better start paying some of that back, don’t you think? You know, to secure our place in heaven? Am I making too much sense?

The deficit is not the National debt which is what is owed overall long term to the International banksters! The US government has run the debt so high, they can’t even pay the interest on it! Combined with jobs disappearing to foreign countries such as China, the Iraq war costing billions more than original estimates with Halliburton etc. pocketing funds, the US along with the rest of the world is headed rapidly towards the biggest economic collapse in world history! And if you think your going to be “raptured” away from that,think again! The “rapture” was made up by 19th century preacher John Kenneth Darby who based it on liberal interpretation of select Biblical verses! You will suffer along with your children & your children’s children! The money changers Jesus chased from the temple were the same type of people who are leading us to economic ruin!

Now, I think that everyone taking a loan and not paying it back because of the “Rapture” (which btw won?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t happen anyway) is a dishonest person that should not be allowed entry into heaven because borrowing something without giving it back means stealing it.

I said kicked ass, not kicks ass. That would be quite impossible as the Wehrmacht was disbanded after WWII. Still, during the war they were by far the best army regarding training, tactics, mobility and in most cases fighting morale as well as equipment quality. One of the few things in which both the russians and the western allies did outmatch the German armed forces was their numerical superiority. And that let them win the war. (Ok, the Russians won it. The invasion in 1944 by the western allies was like stomping on someone who is already lying on the ground.)
Although, Swip, I?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•m quite dissapointed by that personal attack of yours. Are you totally out of arguments so that you have to resort to such desperate personel attacks? Then I pity you.

Of course the Dow Jones hit 12,000 points, it’s made up of munitions manufacturers, oil companies & corporations with military & other government contracts! That benefits a limited number of corporate executives, employees working for them & people who invested in those particular stocks! Our economy is in a downward spiral while China is booming! We’re in an expensive quagmire in Iraq & on the verge of making a bigger mistake in Iran while China is arming themselves to the teeth & biding their time! We’re fighting an endless futile war against a tactic(terrorism) in such a way as to enflame more middle-easterners into becoming terrorists! Meanwhile, China has the largest army in the world & soon will be the best armed & financed thanks to Poppy Bush having granted them most favored trading partner status during his administration & Dubya letting this mess continue!
A large defecit is not always to worry if it is counter acted with a lartge surplus in economic booms. this has been said before, in the 1930s, by John Maynard Keynes , a gay man.
