Every now and again a politician steps up to the plate and tells an ugly truth that needs to be told.? There?s an irony that the liberal media that fought tooth and nail to kill Terri Schiavo is fighting just as hard to keep the Mark Foley scandal alive even to the point of attempting to depose Speaker of the House Denny Hastert.? Enter Christopher Shays of Connecticut, who put this scandal into the perspective it deserves. Shays, speaking to the Hartford Courant, said, “I know the speaker didn’t go over a bridge and leave a young person in the water, and then have a press conference the next day. Dennis Hastert didn’t kill anybody.”? We at Shelley the Republican dot com applaud Representative Shays plain-spokeness and feel sure that even the most liberal voters in Connecticut will see the truth in that statement and re-elect him on November 7th.

Oh, have you heard the newest stories? On the UN summit, Chavez and Ahmadinedschad proved to be a dou infernale bashing bush at it?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s finest. Wow, those guys really have a hand when it comes to holding speeches.
And there?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s a new book by Bob Woodward (you know, the guy that brought Nixon down in hte Watergate scandal.): State of Denial, a short collection of what is going wrong with the government under Georgie. And ouch, what he writes (and he must know, he?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s going in and out in the White House after all.) does really hurt. A president too dumb to change his mind even if it?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s absolutely neccessary. Ministers and advisors only telling him about the good things, leaving out the ones not going well. And so on and so on. Really a great book!
PS: Sam, i?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•m still waiting for the Unit. We have now some dozen men, assault rifles, submachineguns and 2 MG 21 (redesigned MG42, still has a firing rate of 1200 rounds per minute! Allied troops in WWII called it Hitler?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s buzzsaw due to it?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s horrifying noise.) waiting for you.

Everything allright in my homeland? You can?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t believe how hard I miss good bread here in New Zealand, the only thing they have here is this disgusting toast bread from the USA. Aw, it?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s awfull, tastes bad and gives no energy. Now I know why the STR.com crew is so dumb, they just eat sh*t!
