wow. i only read about half of the comments available after reading this blog. made me laugh many times and want to cry some and many times i wanted to reach through to the person commenting and give them a good, swift kick in the britches. i will not be putting my 2 cents in this comment about what i think about all that was said by Mr. Sam Johnston. i just want to put out there about another part of the bible that says that we as humans cannot judge anther person for any reason. we were not given that ability or right. so, for all you people, on both sides, saying that the other person or type of people are going to any level of hell for their thoughts and/or beliefs expressed herein have miss-stepped their bounds just a tiny bit.

Just sayin’.

I am an atheist (sorta) and democrat(completely) and have to respectfully say that i dont believe most of this(although there are some true statements, like the STD stuff), however if you can beat me in a fair debate i may change the atheist part.(you basically have to convince me, k?)

omg! this is so funny. i read the article that sam wrote and i laughed my ass off! hahahaha i love it when people try to get non-christians pissed off at christians and get liberals to hate conservatives. but seriously this was too much! it was hilarious. i know that sam thinks that their article is a fun joke, but come on are you guys really taking this seriously?! man created god in his image. whatever god is, it is the religious institutions that slap him in the face by conjuring up “his” will which only serves the nepotist elite by keeping us fighting with each other over what god really is. what we should do is evolve as a society and realize that nothing good can ever come from a church, schisms in society/global society, arguing on right and wrong, or preaching views to others.
there was one religion however that made a lot of sense that you guys should look up. the catholic church wiped them out by the fourteenth century. they believed in the equality of women, who could be preachers, met in nature to shed the materialism of earth, and their goal was to become pure in mind. very existential. the only meat they ate was fish, like jesus, and all the “others.” their name was the Cathars, which means purity literally. it was a personal quest for being a good person. no wonder the catholics killed them all.
on a more personal note, everybody should eat acid, shrooms, and smoke salivia divinorum, at least once in their lives. it will really open your eyes to how crazy life really is.

Oh my god it is amazing the calibre of shit you find on the internet at three o clock in the morning when you’re pissed and bored.

I was taught about contraception at school when i was 11 years old along with the rest of my year. And despite being taught this neithe myself or any of my friends felt the need to rush out and have sex. Oh and we weren’t less innocent either for that matter.

Sex once a week? Are you having a laugh? Do you live in the real world? Christ I work hard all day, come home and work more, worry about bills and lack of time and then if i am not quite stressed and depressed enough from that I can watch the news and see what a sorry state this world of ours is currently in. Sex? It’s the best therapy. A good work out, a great life distraction and a mind blowing experience *when done correctly and as they say practise makes perfect). No on in this world is taking away my afterglow and once a week is just not enough!

Sex outside of wedlock? Why not? It’s just a symbol at the end of the day, these days no greather than buying a house together. In fact when you think about it a 30 year mortgage is probably a stronge guarentee of a relationship than a piece of paper can ever be. Oh and my brother was born ‘out of wedlock’ and i can honestly say no one has ever refered to him as a bastard or shunned him from society. Mind you I have never in my life met anyone that would be as bigotted or as rude to even think that.

And the AIDs thing. Yeah sure having sex can lead to AIDs. As could working in a medical profession, an aid worker or just cruel circumstance.

The thing that pissed me off the most though? Freddie Mercury. A genius of a man and a legend of our time who is loved the world over held us as your posterchild for AIDs? I don’t think so! Yes he died of a cruel disease and mainly because he wasn’t educated (because there was no awareness at this time) that such a thing existed and also because society at the time deemed it too unacceptable to discuss condoms and contraceptives. Thank god we are now an open enough society that we can educate ourselves and future generations.

As for refering to the bible? I appreciate that many people around the world take comfort from it’s teachings and that everyone is entitled to their faith. This does not however mean that everything written within its covers is real, fact or anything that should be read as ‘law’

Oh and the prostitute thing? Sure you go out and sleep with one, and come home and see if your wife is totally okay with it because the bible says it’s ok. Cos i’m guessing even if she did say it was she’s lying. Just don’t forget that you can’t use those pesky condoms that you have deemed as holey cos you don’t believe in them so you have a greater chance of bringing home a lovely STD or maybe you will get really lucky and suffer a long an painful death. Now on that thought I will have sweet dreams.

So thanks for this, sure i’ll probably burn in hell but you know what..bring it on cos if it does exist it’s gotta be better than going to any heaven that would happily take biggoted, sexist, closed minded peeople that could write, agree with and believe in such an article. Sweet dreams :-)

Well congratulations, I have finally been convinced that this is, indeed, a joke site. To clarify: to be this far on the right and remain consistent with your own beliefs would mean you would have to:

1. Not think. Ever. The idea of going through your entire life without an “unclean” thought it about as ridiculous as the idea of going through it without ever having an orgasm.

2. Have a very selective interpretation of the Bible. If one was to follow every tenet, one would have to also never shave or eat shellfish. And sacrifice an offering of a burnt goat every now and then. And dont think the irony of preaching abstinence when you believe in a religion that is based upon a virgin getting pregnant is lost on me, because it isnt. I think its hilarious.

3. Live in a world where Walmart apparently sells chastity belts. And where George Bush has good ideas. I dont think i need to further explain these.

4. Honestly believe that you have more of a chance to catch AIDS from the girl/boy next door than from “a prostitute that costs less then half a loaf of bread”. Believe I have experience in the matter, Oh how I burn for her…

To conclude: thank you for posting this, if you are indeed the brilliant comedian I believe you are, kudos to you. If you are in fact serious, please seek medical attention, the syphilis has begun to affect your brain.
