Dr George Rekers is not a homo!

Thought for the day: Was Hitler a Liberal?

I found this quote the other day:

“We are socialists, we are enemies of today’s capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions.”

Who do you reckon it is? Nancy Pelosi? Howard Dean? John Kerry?

Actually it’s one of the original founders of liberal thinking: Adolf Hitler. Don’t you find it odd that liberals and wingers will often call us mainstream Americans “Fascists” when it’s the liberals who are indistinguishable from the real fascists?!

But lets have a look at some of Hitler’s other polices: He was big on gun control: in fact that’s where many of America’s liberals get the idea that we should restrict firearm ownership.

Everybody knows that Hitler hated the Jews, but what few liberals admit to is the fact that they also hate Jewish people. Why else would they side with islamofascists like Al-Queda and Hizbolah?

Hitler works the crowd.

hitler.jpg
Bill Clinton works the crowd.

Spot the difference?

Adolf Hitler:

  • Came to power after a Terrorist incident
  • Nationalized industries
  • Set up athiest youth organizations
  • Killed a religious minority

Bill Clinton:

  • Came to power after the Oklahoma City Bombing
  • Hillary tried to take over the health-care industries
  • Rock the vote, Americorps
  • Waco, TX — Branch Davidians

The fact is that Hitler was a self-proclaimed liberal….not a self-proclaimed conservative. And those icons of liberalism Hillary and Bill Clinton lived a life that was completely moddled after their liberal hero: Adolph Hitler. Please excuse me if I’m wrong, but the way I see it is that liberals are the same kind of anti-Semitic, jew-hating whackadoos responsible for the atrocities of Nazi Germany.

Watch out for Jesus!

Around the world, George W bush is sometimes compared to a new Hitler, without the intelligence

And I think it’s more credible that say hitler is a liberal to discredite them (and that’s looks like Hitler’s propaganda)

    Hitler? atheist?
    ahahahah!

    Hitler was christian, Shelley!

He sais : ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?We were convinced that the people need and require [the Christian] faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (October 1933)

The Most Famous Christian of the 20th Century?

Hint: He was born in Austria, tried to take over the world, and no, he?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s not the Governor of California.

    By Robert Flynn

Here?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s a little trivia question for you. Who was the most famous Christian of the 20th century?

Mother Teresa? Nope. Billy Graham? Nope. Martin Luther King, Jr.? Guess again. Albert Schweitzer, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, any and all popes, any and all U.S. presidents?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?Nah, throw ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?em out.

The most famous Christian of the 20th century was Adolf Hitler.

Sure, we call Hitler infamous today. But before he started gobbling up European countries like they were little bratwurst sausages, Hitler was famous as a world leader with high moral values and a distinctly Christian vision.

In fact, no present politician has more blatantly declared his Christianity than Hitler, or has had his faith so widely accepted. Millions of Christians around the world admired the savvy tyrant; a couple of his more recognizable fans included Britain?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Lloyd George and that all-American idol of idols, Charles Lindbergh. The most appealing of Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Christian?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? attributes included:

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His morality. He did not smoke or drink and he abhorred pornography and homosexuality.

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His call for his nation to repent. ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Providence withdrew its protection and our people fell?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ? And in this hour we sink to our knees and beseech our almighty God that He may bless us, that He may give us the strength to carry on the struggle for the freedom, the future, the honor, and the peace of our people. So help us God.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (March 1936)

*His stand against secularism: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without religious foundation is built on air; consequently all character training and religion must be derived from faith?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (April 1933)

*His war on atheism: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?We were convinced that the people need and require [the Christian] faith. We have therefore undertaken the fight against the atheistic movement, and that not merely with a few theoretical declarations: we have stamped it out.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (October 1933)

*His blending of church and state: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?National Socialism neither opposes the Church nor is it anti-religious, but on the contrary it stands on the ground of a real Christianity?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ? For their interests cannot fail to coincide with ours alike in our fight against the symptoms of degeneracy in the world of today, in our fight against a Bolshevist culture, against atheistic movement, against criminality, and in our struggle for a consciousness of a community in our national life?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?These are Christian principles!?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (August 1934)

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His faith-based charity: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?With a tenth of our budget for religion, we would thus have a Church devoted to the State and of unshakable loyalty.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (January 1939)

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His God-given mission to cleanse Germany of evil as personified by the Jews, liberals, homosexuals, labor leaders, homeless people, immigrants from inferior cultures, and the weak and sick. ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? And, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ? We want to burn out all the recent immoral developments in literature, in the theater, and in the press?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬÆin short, we want to burn out the poison of immorality which has entered into our whole life and culture as a result of liberal excess?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ??¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (March 1936)

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His patriotism and the belief that his nation?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s weakness was because ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?…the watchword of German foreign policy ceased to be: preservation of the German nation by all methods; but rather: preservation of world peace by all means.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His condemnation of others who sought to use religion for personal gain. ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Worst of all, however, is the devastation wrought by the misuse of religious conviction for political ends. In truth, we cannot sharply enough attack those wretched crooks who would like to make religion an implement to perform political or rather business services
for them. These insolent liars, it is true, proclaim their creed in a stentorian voice to the whole world for other sinners to hear; but their intention is not, if necessary, to die for it, but to live better.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His vow to end terrorism: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ??¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?we must not dodge this struggle, but prepare for it, and for this reason acquire armament which alone offers protection against violence. Terror is not broken by the mind, but by terror.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His devotion to the Ten Commandments, which he proclaimed the foundation of Nazi Germany: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?The Ten Commandments are a code of living to which there?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s no refutation. These precepts correspond to irrefutable needs of the human soul.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ¢His warriorship for the Lord. ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?I would like to thank Providence and the Almighty for choosing me of all people to be allowed to wage this battle for Germany.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?I follow the path assigned to me by Providence … there is a God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ? And this God again has blessed our efforts during the past 13 years.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? (February 1940)

Though Hitler talked a lot about being a Christian, the million-dollar question is: did he actually consider himself one? The answer isn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t simple. True, he was born and died a Roman Catholic; in fact, he was confirmed as a ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?soldier of Christ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? in the church and served as an altar boy. And in 1941, the year he rolled into Russia, Hitler told General Gerhart Engel: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? The Vatican, for its part, considered Hitler Christian enough; they certainly didn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t excommunicate him.

On the other hand, Hitler privately loathed Christianity, calling it ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?a drug?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? and ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?senseless,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? the ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?invention of sick brains.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? He also perceived it as a potential threat to his leadership, and intended to abolish the church. And let?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s not forget: He did make Nazism the official state religion and he replaced school and church Bibles with copies of ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Mein Kampf.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

Over the years Christians have argued that Hitler was an atheist, a hard claim to defend. Never mind that he repeatedly attacked atheism, he never said anything to indicate he was an atheist. From what those who knew him later in life said, Hitler was a theist, viewing God as a somewhat distant figure, though not wholly removed from human affairs; after all, the S.S., Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s elite soldiers and personal bodyguards, wore belt buckles that read, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Gott Mit Uns?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ??¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬÆor ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?God Is With Us.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

And then there?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s personal library. A 2003 Atlantic Monthly article notes that more than 130 books, included in a small portion of Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s collection stored at the Library of Congress, deal with spiritual topics, from Occidental occultism and Eastern mysticism to the teachings of Jesus, revealing a deep interest in religion and theology.

Hitler was particularly taken with devotional books and works on Jesus. Titles included ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?On Prayer,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Sunday Meditations,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?A Primer for Religious Questions Large and Small,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? and ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Large Truths About Mankind, the World, and God.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? He also owned a translation of E. Stanley Jones?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ 1931 bestseller, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?The Christ of the Mount,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? and a 500-page book on the life and teachings of Jesus called ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?The Son: The Evangelical Sources and Pronouncements of Jesus of Nazareth in Their Original Form and With the Jewish Influences.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

These were books Hitler collected from the 1920s until his final years, and they weren?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t just for show. Many of them were well-read and contain margin notes in Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s writing. Ironically, in a book entitled ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?The Words of Christ,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? there?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s a pencil line alongside this passage: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?”You should love God, your Lord, with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your spirit: this is the foremost and greatest commandment. Another is equally important: Love your neighbor as you would love yourself.”

A book on the trinity by Maximilian Reidel also captured Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s imagination. He read it carefully and made extensive marginalia in it. He heavily underlined one passage that he later worked into a talk he gave to guests in December of 1941, when he said, “If there is a God, then he gives us not only life but also consciousness and awareness. If I live my life according to my God-given insights, then I cannot go wrong, and even if I do, I know I have acted in good faith.”

If Hitler were an American politician today, based solely on his faith and God-talk, he?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥d make an attractive candidate to the Christian right.

That Hitler exploited religion for political gain, however, is a given. He knew that he lived in a nation that was overwhelmingly Christian, and he used Christianity to pander to mass idiocy in order to draw the biggest crowd in history. Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s image as a Christian on a mission from God spread the world over and reached America early. On February 23, 1933, the Associated Press ran a wire story under the headline, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Hitler Aims Blow at ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Godless Move.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? The article described Hitler reaching out to Catholics for support in his attack against the ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?spread of atheism,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? citing a papal encyclical admonishing priests to ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?serve the religious interests of the nation.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Hitler, himself, is a Catholic,?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? the article noted.

Hitler definitely brought out the worst in Christians. Those who admired the Fuhrer were either mindless sheep or, like him, wolves in sheep?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s clothing, hiding their decidedly un-Christian personas behind the hypocritical mask of organized religion. Lest anyone doubt that it could have happened here in the United States, the following excerpt, from an article written by Lloyd Allen, professor of church history and spiritual formation at the McAfee School of Theology is a chilling reminder that the basic tenets of Nazism were not the sole property of the Germans.

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?I came to this conclusion (the Baptists?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ reluctance to speak out on larger issues of the world?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s economic, social and political scene) while writing an article on the Baptist World Alliance congress in Berlin in 1934. An immense Nazi flag, hung where the congress met, was a vivid reminder of the bloody purge executed only a few weeks before by anti-Semitic fascists.

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Most of the BWA delegates spoke out for soul liberty, the kinship of all humanity and the separation of church and state, but too many Baptist leaders did not. Indeed, a number of U.S. Baptists wrote sympathetically of Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Germany.

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?John Sampey, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary cautioned against hasty judgment of a leader (Hitler) who had stopped German women from smoking cigarettes and wearing red lipstick in public.

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?The Watchman-Examiner [a national Baptist newspaper] carried a letter by Boston pastor John Bradbury. Of the congress he wrote, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?It was a great relief to be in a country where salacious sex literature cannot be sold; where putrid motion pictures and gangster films cannot be shown.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Southern Baptist Convention President M.E. Dodd of Louisiana defended Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s persecution of the Jews, who he declared were guilty of ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?self-aggrandizement to the injury of the German people.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ Besides, Dodd continued, most of the 200,000 Jewish refugees who went to Germany from Eastern Europe ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?were communist agitators against the government.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

And you didn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t have to go all the way to Berlin to find Nazi Christian Americans congregating. German Bunds in America offered adult training, youth camps and propaganda distribution activities, taking orders directly from the Fatherland. There were the Hitler-inspired Silver Shirts, organized by William Dudley Pelley in North Carolina in the 1930s, and the Defenders of the Christian Faith, an organization founded by Reverend Gerald B. Winrod, a virulent anti-Semite who in the best KKK tradition organized the Knights of the White Camellia. It was standing room only on The American Christian Nazi bandwagon, whose overflow of passengers included the Black Legion; the Sentinels of the Republic; the American Vigilante Intelligence Federation; Father Charles E. Coughlin?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s infamous Christian Front; and the America First Committee, dedicated to the Democratic principles of isolationism, pacifism and anti-Semitism, and boasting ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Lindy?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? Lindbergh as its poster boy. (After the war, it was revealed that ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?America?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Firsters?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? had accepted financial support from Germany.)

Fortunately there were enough true Christians around to keep the essence of Christ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s message alive. Many died resisting the evils of Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s regime, and millions more sacrificed their lives to defeat his armies. Nevertheless, the once vibrant churches of Europe are now largely deserted, at least in part because of Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s excesses in the name of Jesus. And it?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s not just ancient history: as we speak, the Christian Right is busy demolishing our civil and religious liberties in the name of America and Christ. A word to the wise, and to those who should be wiser: it can happen here.

All of Hitler?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s quotes are either from his speeches, which are dated by month and year, or ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Mein Kampf.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

If Hilter was alive, He would be a republican!

Hitler was actually a christian! And, if he was liberal (by the way, fascism is the opposite of liberalism by definition!) , why did he attack his liberal communistic comrade Stalin?

And even if he was “liberal”, he used the same policies and ideas you and your beloved GWB do.

Yep, Hitler said that during the world economy crisis. His aim was to convince the population that his reign would be better than the liberal, democratic system of the Republic of Weimar. Unfortunately, he succeded.

What terrorist incident are you talking about?

Not only do I think Hitler was a liberal, granola eatin, Grateful Dead listening to, pot smoking, pro-choice, queer; I also think he is still alive and probably running the DNC from behind the scenes. I think he sent Bill Clinton to fly those planes into the towers 5 years ago too. Think about it, Clinton must have been one of the pilots. It’s the only explanation. Sure we have seen him on tv since, but have any of you actually seen him in person? Me neither. And my sound logic and reason tells me that adds up to Bill Clinton being involved. Thank GOD for sites like this that expose all the myths and set things straight. Keep it up, Shell. I gotta run, just saw Howard Dean snooping around in my bushes.

  15. Eulachon September 10th, 2006 2:39 PM

I would compare Shelley to Goebbels, not Hitler. Goebbels was Hitler’s propaganda minister. His technique is identical to Shelley’s: repeating a point until it is taken to be the truth. Unfortunately for Shelley, this technique has only worked for a minority of people posting on this site.

  16. Ghalaad September 10th, 2006 4:27 PM

    GWBush:
    - took all powers in his hands
    - is attacking countries
    - has build concentrations camp
    - tortured *enemies*
    - created a religious war/ hitler: jews , bush : muslims
    - is overwhealmed by events / hitler lose WW2 because he made desastrous strategic choices

Shelley, do not change history and facts, it’s too easy to counter you.

  17. Anonymous September 10th, 2006 6:39 PM

What is incredible about GWBush is that he can be loved by people, like Shelley, while he is just stealing them, using them and don’t give a f* about them only to get richer.

Shelley, you don’t realise that cause you don’t have any culture, you are not smart enough and don’t want to open your mind. You are like a little girl who only believe what her “father” is telling, and refuse to think by herself.

I would not compare Shelley to Goebbels. I guess Bush would be Goebble cause, he know what he is doing (even if what he does is just pure devil) and Shelley is only someone on who Propagenda works sooo well, she feel like she should spread these stupids ideas by herself.

Shelley, you are destroying yourself! Sometimes please consider others ways to think! This won’t hurt you, you will grow up intellectualy and you will have a more complete vision of the world. I only want to help you. You are beeing fooled! I will pray for you before it’s too late.

My visit (by mistake) to this site has confirmed my ideas about the republicans, christians and all other kinds of right wing freaks that, saddly, not only inhabit but also run the US… it’s because of them that most of the world HATE gringos… it’s really a shame because, even if there is good people in that country, it would seem that the big decisions are taken by fascists like that ape-faced Bush and his brainless minions like poor, poor Shelley… I most sincerelly pity you, because until the free thinking, educated US citizens (right now it appears to me that they are a minority…) decide they’ve had enough of their leader’s lies and deceptions and that they are sick of being miss-represented and thus hated without being directly guilty of the atrocities their governement has done in their name (although maybe indirectly by lack of action), you’ll continue to be the target of the so-called terrorists (quite frankly, I think the worst terrorist of the modern era is sitting behind a desk on the oval office…) that are created in every single one of your army’s crimes. There, I’ve said it. Now I’ll stop waisting my time in this ridiculous museum of intolerance that some call the site of Shelley the Republican… PS: Come on! even the name is lame…

Hitler was a socialist. And neither socialism and nacism are liberal.

Hitler was also not christian. He hated it. He loved islam. He said, islam is real masculine religion and will be best religion for his reich.

hitler lose WW2 because he made desastrous strategic choices

Afterwar myth spawned by German generals. Hitler’s war strategy was adequate. Reason of his demise was insufficience of military forces. The only mistake fuhrer done was the start of war itself, heh.

Half myth, half truth. He actually made some let?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s say suboptimal decisions which went wrong big time. Examples: Stalingrad, his “knowlegde” that the invasion would strike at Calais and the offensive in the Ardennes 1944/45. And every time he was to stubborn to admit his fault and thus sent even more men to their deaths.

    I don’t agree. Stalingrad&Ardennes – there weren’t alternative optimal decisions.

Invasion in Russia failed in december 1941. After this failing the only optimal decision comprised quick retreat to Russian borders and very unprofitable armistice, but such options in that time were unthinkable not only for Hitler. Stalingrad was an attempt to use Wehrmacht’s fading advantage in motorized warfare. Insufficience of military might became clear when Russians broke through German flanks which were covered by Romanians.

Ardennes… well, how about alternative again? With air superiority of Western Allies (same unsufficience of German military might) only thing Hitler could hope to achieve is strike to disrupt their logistics. Operation relied on weather heavily, but luck wasn’t on Hitler’s side.

Calais… and what’s the difference? Aforementioned air superiority of UK&US (61:1, IIRC?) was able to secure any place of invasion, German forces in Western Europe prior to D-Day were woefully inadequate… No, I guess there wasn’t any difference. Hollywood and German generals have other opinion – former needs dramatic effects, latters needs some payback to leader who humiliated them. :-)

Stubborness of Hitler paid off quite well in pre-war period, so he got used to it. Imho, of course.

It is not the shit, it is the fact. Emin el Huseini (uncle of Jaser Arafat) was very important partner of nacists. In Bosnia, Hitler even had his own very cruel muslim SS divisons. Most famous was Handzar, there were also some others, like Skenderbeg.

Hitler really liked islam and he had a plan to be a religion of his reich. He didn’t practice it, but he thought, it would be good for his people.

“Hitler: (…) Came to power after a Terrorist incident ”

__ This is even wrong. Hitler made a terroris incident before he came to power, that’s right. But this terrorist incident wasn’t the reason why he became to power. I wont get say that Hilter was a allright person (I am really against him) but Adolf Hilter came to the power on a LEGAL way. Reichspr??Ǭßsident (President of the German Empire) v.Hindenburg named him as the chancellor of the empire LEGALY. Just after v.Hindeburg died, it all left controll: Hitler brought the legislative to the executive branch of government. When v.Hindenburg died, Hitler had the full dimension of power.

Just a little lesson in German history, my dear ….

Is this all a joke? It must be, nobody is THAT stupid. You do know that right after incarcerating the communists, Hitler incarcerated DEMOCRATS, and THEN the Jews? Republicans choose to build jails rather than learn tolerance of others. That was one of Hitler’s chief ideas as well. My, what they have in common. If Hitler were alive today, he would donate to the Republican party just as Al-Queda members are doing today (one just got busted the other day).

Nixon – Watergate (trying to manipulate the electorial process)
    Reagan – (Iran Contra scam)
Bush – list is waaaay toooo long

Republican politicians are nothing but thieves, outside of politics most would be average con men or white collar criminals (the few with a decent education).

Conservative – Can’t sleep at night because they worry what the neighbors “might” be doing.

Liberal – Live and let live.

Why are there tons of illegal aliens (Mexicans) in our country, why have so many companies left the US for cheap foreign labor, why do we have more people in prison per capita than anywhere else in the world, why do I feel like my vote as an American is useless, why can’t I find a good “American” doctor…Republicans. Republicans only care about making themselves richer. They care nothing about the average American or the country and use religion as a means to maintain control. It all comes down to supporting, shhhh (don’t tell anyone), the “New World Order”. Remember that phrase? The phrase was dropped long ago because of extreme opposition by the American people. But look around yourself today, the phrase might have died but the idea is quickly becoming reality…and the American people will not realize it happened until it’s too late to change.

Anti American – Banning a person’s right to protest a government they believe is not working in the best interest of the people it represents (flag burning).

Patriotic – Burning a country’s flag when you believe the people under it are no longer being properly represented by their government.

Btw, China makes most US flags now ;)

I actually found something the other day that is still made in America, very odd. The ONLY US made car in this year’s Daytona 500 was a Toyota, all the “US” cars are made elswhere. Wake up Americans, the republican party is selling your country for some quick cash!

Oh yeah, and what ever happened to that 12 billion (with a “b”) dollars Bush demanded to be packed up at the treasury and crated over to Iraq. It just happened to “disappear”…oh, how handy. Thieves.

Appearently the author didnt read the history books.

“Atheist your organisations” Oh yeah, becouse atheist would carry belt buckets saying “gott mit uns” ( God with uss )

Hitler was a conservative christian who waged a death war on homosexuals, jews, gypsies, and guess what, athiests. He had the SS not only goe against “enemies of the state” but allso against people going against church doctrine, in other word “heretics”.

Its frightening how often he spoke about fulfilling the work of Jesus and he was an admirer of Marthin Luther. Dont believe me, do your research, you will find that what i wrote is true. Read the Main kampf, and listen to one of his speeches, dont even need to know german, “gott” is god and you will recognise the name of Jesus, in all of his speaches he mention it at least five times.

I’m a political science student and I don’t agree with the article. Nazi literally means “National Socialism” in English.

Nationalism is basically a strong feeling of loyalty to one’s nation and recognizing ties with other members of the group. All countries have this, I’m sure you’re proud to be American to some degree, but Hitler brought it to the extreme.

Socialism is the ideology that Hitler used to justify the state control of industries, at the same time (and more importantly) however, Hitler was at the extreme right with Fascism. Fascism goes further than Conservatism in that it is not only the belief of maintaining a hierarchy of wealth, but also a hierarchy of ethnic groups.

    From left-wing to right-wing:
Communism/Socialism (equality of wealth) – Social Democratic (equality of opportunity) – Liberal (equality of rights) – Conservative (hierarchy of wealth) – Fascist (hierarchy of races).

Since the USA is a Liberal Democracy, most politicians don’t go more left than Social Democratic, or more right than Conservative. The US was founded on the Liberal ideas of freedom (liberty) and free-market economics (or “liberalized economy”).

What changed is that Conservatives believe in Classical Liberalism which is from the 19th century (personal freedom, limited government, equality of right, consent of the governed) and Modern Liberals believe in Reform Liberalism from the 20th century (same as above, but larger role of government in economy in order to improve opportunities). One of the things that people noticed is that the free market doesn’t work perfectly when individuals are illiterate and can’t understand work contracts, so the government intervened in the free market by providing public education. Now the government intervenes in other areas as well – the extent of which may be debatable.

I don’t understand the way “liberal” is becoming a bad word in the US. Remember that the word “liberal” comes from the Latin “Liber”, meaning “free”. So Democrats and Republicans are all technically Liberals if they believe in liberal democracies as a system of government.

Hitler was at the extreme right, believing that Germans were a superior race. Hitler was in no way liberal, he did not believe in freedom, he wanted to make slaves for the German people. He also destroyed the democratic (liberal) institutions which allowed for the liberal ideas of: personal freedom, limited government, equality of right, consent of the governed. Germany was no longer a Liberal Democracy, but rather a Fascist Dictatorship when he took complete power.

On your last point: Hitler was a Christian. All religions can fall into any of the political ideologies I mentioned above, there is no correlation except maybe in the case of religion being forbidden in Communism/Socialism, and that whatever religion is the main religion in Conservative (Monarchies, Theocracies…) and Fascist states usually becomes everyone’s forced religion. Liberal democracies allow “Freedom of Religion” therefore the acceptance of all religious beliefs and non-belief. Many of the founders of the US escaped prosecution for their beliefs in Europe under Conservative Monarchic rule, to form a free and open society, a Liberal society. One that will continue to change and hopefully only improve over time.
