The truth about Atheism exposed.

The first in a series of articles about the Godless minority who pose an even bigger threat to our society than the Muslims.

There is a group at large in American society that hates God. A group that denies the truth about His son Jesus Christ, Our Savior. A group that detests the American way of life, spits on the American dream. People who don’t care if you live or die. They don’t even feel anything for their own mothers! They are disgusting, immoral and hateful. They are the Atheists.

Unsurprisingly, recent surveys have shown that decent Christian Americans hate Atheists even more than they hate Muslims and black people. A study published in the “American Sociological Review” by Professor Joseph Gerteis and Associate Professor Douglas Hartmann proves, among other things that Americans rate atheists below Muslims, recent immigrants, homosexuals and other groups as “sharing their vision of American society.” Equally damningly, God-fearing Americans have said that they would want to marry almost anyone rather than an Atheist.

An atheist
A typical Atheist. Look at his stupid hat! And the way he hides his eyes from God’s light.

But who are these Atheists who are more dangerous than the members of the bomb-crazy America-hating Muslim faith and, crucially, what do they believe? How can you spot one? What is the history of this mad un-belief system? And what should you do if you are unlucky enough to come across one? Tristan Shuddery’s expose of ‘Atheist Troublemakers’ recently on STR.com has made imperative that these questions are answered.

Well, over the next few weeks, I intend to answer all these questions and more. I hope the faithful readers of STR.com will add their own observations and experiences in our vibrant comments section! (Oh and by the way, German liberals, your comments are not appreciated! I wish you well though!).

I’d like to start this week by explaining in ten clear and simple bullet points exactly what Atheists believe and by disabusing a few common misconceptions about their (admittedly absurd) practices. It’s shocking reading!

1) They will do anything and stop at nothing

Perhaps the most terrifying thing about Atheists is that they don’t have what scientists call a “moral compass”. They don’t have any values. They basically don’t know the difference between right and wrong. How could they? They don’t have a God to guide them. As the Republican intellectual and fellow STR.com contributor Tristan Shuddery has already said on this site: “Where do you think American lawmakers got the idea that we shouldn’t murder, steal or rape? Answer: It?s in the Bible. I don’t recall any athiest book telling people not to comit these awful crimes. If you athiests had your way, the nation would be a bloodbath like Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia. Both fascism and communism are based on Athiesm.”

2) Following on from point one there are two basic corollaries:

a) Because Atheists have no values they see things such as pedophilia as being quite ok. That’s why, for instance, they fill up the internet with their vile porn filth and they are always at the forefront of the pro-abortion (ie, anti-life!) lobby. After all, why should they care?

b) Most criminals are atheists, or, conversely, most atheists (ie all of them!) are criminals (they just haven’t all been caught yet).

Jesus wept!
Atheists make Our Lord Jesus cry. Please stop it, Atheist renegades!

3) Atheists do not worship Satan.

A common belief about Atheists is that they worship the Dark Lord Satan. This is not actually true. It’s an easy mistake to make, because by denying God they, of course, take on the Devil and will join him in hell, but Atheists claim that they do not even believe in the Devil. They believe in nothing! (See points 2 (a) and 2 (b) to find out what that means).

4) It’s not true that no one really is an Atheist.

Some good Christians, trusting in human nature, believe that Atheists are just “pretending” to deny Jesus and making a stance to be somehow “controversial” like rebellious teenagers who refuse to wash or get a haircut. Sadly, this isn’t true. The malaise runs far deeper than this. Their brains have been so twisted and bent out of shape by Liberal propoganda and drug abuse (see point 7) that they have actually genuinely convinced themselves out of the self-evident truth that a Christian God made us and the world.

5) Atheists think they’re cleverer than you.

One of the most annoying things about Atheists is that their mad lack of belief actually makes them feel somehow superior to real American Christians. Rejecting decent honest faith and belief they use things like a reliance on “scientific methodology”, “reasoned argument”, “historical evidence”, “documentary proof” and “logic” to baffle and confuse. Instead of accepting the obvious reality that the Bible is God’s word, they try to claim that the Gospels were written hundreds of years after the death of Jesus, that there were hundreds of other similar books rejected by committee at something called the council of Nicea and that most of the New Testament was compiled out of political expediency. They say that many of the Jesus stories existed long before Jesus was said to have been alive and that most of his sayings and parables aren’t that impressive anyway. They are wrong.

Bible
The Bible. The guidebook for American life and wholly holy. Why won’t atheists accept this?

6) Atheists hate Christians and Christianity.

They are jealous because they know that we are going to heaven. They want to destroy us and everything we stand for. They want to forbid Christianity, raise taxes and disband our armies. They’d like our country to be more like Canada. (By the way, most Canadians are atheists. That’s why they’re so depraved.).

Terrance and Philip : Just one of the sick creations of the Canadian atheists. Christians be warned, do not watch this sick film clip.

7) Atheists are nearly all druggists.

Far from the warm love of God, believing that they are spinning round on a cold rock in the middle of an empty universe and thinking that they will never see their favorite family pets again in heaven (which of course they won’t since they’re going to hell! Sorry atheists!), atheists wrap themselves up in what they see as a comforting narcotic embrace. They smoke jazz-cigarrettes, inject themselves with heroin and manufacture crystal-meth in their kitchens. Their brains and bodies are ruined.

Meth lady

A crystal meth user. Is she an Atheist? I wouldn’t be surprised.

8) All Democ-rats are Atheists.

Do not believe Democ-rats when they try to tell you that they believe in God. Just like in everything else, they are lying. After all, if they were Christians, they would be Republicans!

9) Atheists don’t know anything about Christianity.

How could they? If they did, they’d worship God instead of spending their whole time off their faces on illegal drugs, protesting about just wars and making trouble.

10) Atheists lives are cold and empty.

Atheists have no appreciation for anything. Period. Because they do not believe in God and have no sense of awe, Atheists can not understand beauty or anything wonderful. To them a rainbow is just a coincidence of light particles seen through water vapor rather than a miracle. Art is meaningless to them and music is just a series of different pressure effects upon the ear drum; that’s why their music (rock, hip hop and something called techno) is so bad.

They love nobody. Nobody loves them. They are depressed and nihilistic, believing that after death there is nothing for them. Then they die and go to hell. It’s awful.

Do you want to be an Atheist? Me neither.

May God Bless and keep you always,

Sam Johnston

This is so true. It is because Athiests deny the mirical of Childbirth that they are so keen on abortion. If they only understood that they were destroying God\’s work then they would think twice about their evil deeds.

The irony is, it takes a great deal MORE faith to believe in athiesm, because some of their explainations for everyday phenomena are so preposterous. Everybody knows about the absurd myth of evolution but that is just the start of it. Can athiesm explain \”love\”, can athiesm tell you right from wrong? Can athiesm take you closer to God? For all of these, the answer is no, and they are enough to prove that athiests are wasting their time.

Well done, this has to be one of the best researched articles we have ever published. I think there will be a great many athiests repenting as a result of what you have just written. Lets hope they dont convert to Islam!

This was the best article you have ever written, because now you can allways say yhat you don’t answer questions to an atheist. But were is a list of “Ten signs to tell if somebody is an atheist”?
I know that you think science is rubbish, but think, what would you do all the day, if some scientists had not given you the opportunity to use a computer in everydays life?

    “We believe that attitudes
toward atheists tell us more about American
society and culture than about atheists themselves”
“In this case, the symbolic boundaries
drawn around atheists help us to understand the
problem of moral solidarity in a diverse society.”
(excerpts from the original sociological study of hartmann&gerteis)

so for this article, congratulations on citing the publication correctly! i think it’s a big step forward in your blogging!

Bush and the Bible: A Letter to George Bush
    Dear President Bush,

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God’s Law. I have learned a great deal from you and understand why you would propose and support a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. As you said “in the eyes of God marriage is based between a man a woman.” I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination… End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God’s Laws and how to follow them.

    1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can’t I own Canadians?

    2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

    3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanness – Lev.15: 19-24. The problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

    4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord – Lev.1:9. The problem is, my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

    5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2. clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

    6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination – Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don’t agree. Can you settle this? Are there ‘degrees’ of abomination?

    7. Lev.21:20 states that I may ! not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle- room here?

    8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

    9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

    10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn’t we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help.

Thank you again for reminding us that God’s word is eternal and unchanging.

  6. Mr. Atheist August 28th, 2006 2:46 AM

Thanks, you gave me a laugh. After reading this, the whole religous-whacko-act felt funny all over again – or not!

Joke or not, that is going too far. Atheism is just the lack or absens of the belief in a deity or deity’s. In other words, the opposite of theism.

Being an atheist does not mean renouncing humanity, common sense or science.

And even if that was the case…

“The man who is unacquainted with theism is an atheist because he does not believe in a god. This category would also include the child without the conceptual capacity to grasp the issues involved, but who is still unaware of those issues. The fact that this child does not believe in god qualifies him as an atheist.”

Finally, the President looks up and asks, “How many is a brazillion?”

  9. John Q. Public August 28th, 2006 3:40 AM

I’m a former atheist and everything you said was true about me. Not only did I worship Satan (even though I didn’t believe in her), take drugs, hate Christians, kill babies, swear in public, stole, lied, punch my mother in the face and uterus, made Jesus cry, hate America, wore stupid hats and glasses, burned American flags, voted Democrat, spit on bibles, used holy water for free-basing, had homosexual make-over parties, donated to Planned Parenthood, played violent video games, held demonic rituals on public property, walked on grass that was clearly marked to stay off of, jay-walked, insulted puppies, and failed to test my smoke alarm regularly, I also helped install a Linux-based server for a small business.

But now that I’ve seen the light and accepted Jesus into my life, I think I’ll stop with the puppy-insulting.

I really like your blog, and please keep spewing your ignorant, hate-filled, fear-mongering filth.

    Love,
    John

  10. Bry August 28th, 2006 3:41 AM

I don’t see how this applies to me, seeing as I’m an atheist, and I refuse to use any type of drug, including alcohol. I love the arts and music, but rather than attributing these things to “god”, I cherish the individual. People are capable of extraordinary things, if they’re allowed.

It’s sad to think that some people cannot accept that people can make their own world, and their own “miracles”.

  11. Nono August 28th, 2006 4:05 AM

    Hi everybody,

I just want to say something, because I feel really insulted by this article. Why ?

Perhaps the most terrifying thing about Atheists is that they don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t have what scientists call a ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?moral compass?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?. They don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t have any values. They basically don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t know the difference between right and wrong.

I’m a atheist, so were my parents. And I can tell you what’s the difference between good and evil. You know ? It comes from something called education. I respect life more than everything. So I know it’s bad to kill, to hurt somebedy, to lie, etc… And I don’t need to believe in Bible to know that it’s bad to kill somebody.

Because Atheists have no values they see things such as pedophilia as being quite ok.
    Pedophilia is not OK !!!

Most criminals are atheists, or, conversely, most atheists (ie all of them!) are criminals (they just haven?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t all been caught yet).
This makes no sense. If you want to call somebody a criminal, you should to have proof. And you can be sure that you are, Sam, closer to be a criminal than me (because I didn’t ever want the death of anybody).

Instead of accepting the obvious reality that the Bible is God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s word, they try to claim [...] that there were hundreds of other similar books rejected by committee at something called the council of Nicea and that most of the New Testament was compiled out of political expediency.
I’m not a bible expert. BUT the council of Nicea really happened. I’m sure you can find some archive of it in Vatican. And there were other similar books (called apocryphs, ask about them to your priest) but Vatican thinks there are fakes and it’s why there are not in the canonical texts (it’s how are the text which are recognized as genuine by Vatican).

    Atheists hate Christians and Christianity.

They are jealous because they know that we are going to heaven. They want to destroy us and everything we stand for. They want to forbid Christianity
That’s totally wrong. I’m still an atheist and as I said, I respect life and so the right for everybody to life according to his faith.
(By the way, Terence and Philip are not canadian creations. They were created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the cartoon South Park. Stone and Parker both come from Colorado. Terence and Philip are just supposed to be Canadian in the cartoon)

They smoke jazz-cigarrettes, inject themselves with heroin and manufacture crystal-meth in their kitchens.
Sorry, I don’t smoke at all, and I don’t do drugs.

Atheists don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t know anything about Christianity.

How could they? If they did, they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥d worship God instead of spending their whole time off their faces on illegal drugs, protesting about just wars and making trouble.
You know, you just can’t tell that because I know a few things about christianity, my grand-parents are christians and I read the bible a couple of years ago. But I do not believe in God, it’s like that. It’s a matter of personal belief. And I don’t think that atheist are better or more intelligent than christians. Because I think faith is not a point of intelligence. You can believe in God and be intelligent and logical.

Atheists lives are cold and empty.

Atheists have no appreciation for anything. Period. Because they do not believe in God and have no sense of awe, Atheists can not understand beauty or anything wonderful. To them a rainbow is just a coincidence of light particles seen through water vapor rather than a miracle.
That’s also wrong. I understand beauty, no need to be christian to see the beauty of a beautiful landscape, of a Van Gogh painting or of the Mozart Requiem (my favorite piece of music).

So next time, please, don’t talk about people when you don’t know anything about them.

  12. A french atheist August 28th, 2006 5:25 AM

    I am an atheist.
I’m convinced that there is no nod up there. I detest the American way of life that is based on egoism and costs so much to the rest of the world and I spit on the american dream. You’re not a friend nor family so, honestly, I don’t care if you live or die. I love my mother and i would defend her with my own life if needed. I don’t feel particularly disgusting, immoral or hateful.

Let’s check your 10 points in my life.
    1) no moral compass
My conception of morality is that people should always act for the good of the community. Murder, rape and stealling are harmfull for the victim and must be banned. Children are our future and nothing is as criminal as beating or raping children. Everyone own his own body and should be forced or restricted to do anything he wants with it as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else.
    2)
Well, as long as you don’t tell anything more in point 2 than in point 1, neither will I.
    3) We don’t worship satan
Of course not. The only people who believe in Satan are the people who believe in God.
    4) Real atheists exist
Yep, that’s true, I am a real atheist.
    5) We think we are more intelligent
Atheism is not a question of intelligence. I know people far more intelligent than me who believe in god. I also know far more stupid people that me that believe. Believing or not is a only question of faith, nothing else.
    6) They hate Christianism and Christianity.
“They are jealous because they know that we are going to heaven.” This sentence is ridiculous. I don’t believe in heaven, remember? I don’t want to forbid Christianity. Anyone does what he wants with his own body. Anyway, believing is not something you can control. You believe or you don’t but you can’t decide it. It’s just as it is. I don’t particularly want to raise any taxe, certainly not the ones I pay. I don’t think atheism and political choices are related. I don’t want to disband your army but I’d like her to stop killing people abroad for money regardless of any moral value.
    7) I don’t do drugs. No illegal drug nor even cigarets. I sometimes drink some alcool with friends but nothing more than anyone else.
    8) All democrats are atheists.
This sounds like political advetising, nothing to do with atheism.
    9) Atheists do not know anything about Christianity.
Wrong, I have had a proper and complete christian education and my parents believe in god. I know what Christianity is. I just don’t believe.
    10) Atheists lives are cold and empty
I like emotions that are conveyed by classical music. I like paintings, movies. I’m not depressed at all. Because there is nothing after death, I think that life must be lived intensively each day. I don’t believe in God’s love but I believe in love. I love some people and some people love me. I really like who I am.

  13. Liberal and Proud August 28th, 2006 5:27 AM

    Okay… major reality check time.

    1) They will do anything and stop at nothing

Perhaps the most terrifying thing about Atheists is that they don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t have what scientists call a ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?moral compass?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?. They don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t have any values. They basically don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t know the difference between right and wrong. How could they? They don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t have a God to guide them. As the Republican intellectual and fellow STR.com contributor Tristan Shuddery has already said on this site: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Where do you think American lawmakers got the idea that we shouldn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t murder, steal or rape? Answer: It?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s in the Bible. I don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t recall any athiest book telling people not to comit these awful crimes. If you athiests had your way, the nation would be a bloodbath like Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia. Both fascism and communism are based on Athiesm.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

Two things: One, Athiests do have a moral compass, based on something called a conscience. I had a moral compas before I read the bible. Even now, much of my moral compass is NOT based on the bible.
Two, Nazi Germany was based on an (admiditadly twisted) form of Christianity. Look it up – its the truth.

    2) Following on from point one there are two basic corollaries:

    a) Because Atheists have no values they see things such as pedophilia as being quite ok. That?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s why, for instance, they fill up the internet with their vile porn filth and they are always at the forefront of the pro-abortion (ie, anti-life!) lobby. After all, why should they care?

    b) Most criminals are atheists, or, conversely, most atheists (ie all of them!) are criminals (they just haven?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t all been caught yet).

I am pro-life. I think abortions are an abomination. I, however, do not feel that legally banning it is the right answer. And do you have any proof at all of the second claim?

    3) Atheists do not worship Satan.

A common belief about Atheists is that they worship the Dark Lord Satan. This is not actually true. It?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s an easy mistake to make, because by denying God they, of course, take on the Devil and will join him in hell, but Atheists claim that they do not even believe in the Devil. They believe in nothing! (See points 2 (a) and 2 (b) to find out what that means).

Actually, that one’s mostly true, except that I beleive that God has a way to give nonbelievers a second chance.

    4) It?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s not true that no one really is an Atheist.

Some good Christians, trusting in human nature, believe that Atheists are just ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?pretending?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? to deny Jesus and making a stance to be somehow ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?controversial?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? like rebellious teenagers who refuse to wash or get a haircut. Sadly, this isn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t true. The malaise runs far deeper than this. Their brains have been so twisted and bent out of shape by Liberal propoganda and drug abuse (see point 7) that they have actually genuinely convinced themselves out of the self-evident truth that a Christian God made us and the world.

Once again, basically correct, though a Christian god is not self-evident through the world.

    5) Atheists think they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥re cleverer than you.

One of the most annoying things about Atheists is that their mad lack of belief actually makes them feel somehow superior to real American Christians. Rejecting decent honest faith and belief they use things like a reliance on ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?scientific methodology?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?reasoned argument?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?historical evidence?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?documentary proof?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? and ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?logic?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? to baffle and confuse. Instead of accepting the obvious reality that the Bible is God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s word, they try to claim that the Gospels were written hundreds of years after the death of Jesus, that there were hundreds of other similar books rejected by committee at something called the council of Nicea and that most of the New Testament was compiled out of political expediency. They say that many of the Jesus stories existed long before Jesus was said to have been alive and that most of his sayings and parables aren?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t that impressive anyway. They are wrong.

Scientific methodology, reasoned argument, historical evidence, documentary proof and logic are all valid concepts not related to religion. As for their mindset, you feel the same way over them. And don’t just say “but i’m right,” that’s just missing my point.

    6) Atheists hate Christians and Christianity.

They are jealous because they know that we are going to heaven. They want to destroy us and everything we stand for. They want to forbid Christianity, raise taxes and disband our armies. They?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥d like our country to be more like Canada. (By the way, most Canadians are atheists. That?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s why they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥re so depraved.)

Athiests dont believe in heaven, you said that earlier. And our country should be more like Canada. And do you have any proof that most Canadians are Athiests?

    7) Atheists are nearly all druggists.

Far from the warm love of God, believing that they are spinning round on a cold rock in the middle of an empty universe and thinking that they will never see their favorite family pets again in heaven (which of course they won?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t since they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥re going to hell! Sorry atheists!), atheists wrap themselves up in what they see as a comforting narcotic embrace. They smoke jazz-cigarrettes, inject themselves with heroin and manufacture crystal-meth in their kitchens. Their brains and bodies are ruined.

I have never seen such ignorance :(

    8) All Democ-rats are Atheists.

Do not believe Democ-rats when they try to tell you that they believe in God. Just like in everything else, they are lying. After all, if they were Christians, they would be Republicans!

Nope. My whole family, including me, is Christian and Democrat. And “Christian” and “Republican” are NOT THE SAME, NOT EVEN SYNONYMS!

    9) Atheists don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t know anything about Christianity.

How could they? If they did, they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥d worship God instead of spending their whole time off their faces on illegal drugs, protesting about just wars and making trouble.

I’m guessing it varies, but if you have proof I’ll gladly accept it!

Art is meaningless to them and music is just a series of different pressure effects upon the ear drum; that?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s why their music (rock, hip hop and something called techno) is so bad.

They love nobody. Nobody loves them. They are depressed and nihilistic, believing that after death there is nothing for them. Then they die and go to hell. It?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s awful.

Tell that to one of the Athiests I know…

    Uh, that’s a good one. Let’s see:
    - “Terence and Phillipp” were created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker, Americans.
    - 75% of all prison inmates are Christian but only 0.2% are atheists (despite the fact that 15% of all Americans are agnostic or atheists).
    - Fascism is based on Christian’ antisemitism, most evidently catholizism
    - If atheists know nothing about Christianity how can they be jealous that Christians go to heaven?
    Etc…pp…
I don’t think you would accept any of these facts but then again, this blog is a funny read.

Sam, I liked our article with goat more. It was much funnier and did’nt harm anyones feelings.

Before I talk about your 10 points, here is a picture of me, and you see I don’t wear glasses, or a weird hat. (the red eyes come from the camera, I’m no demon Sam, explained here http://science.howstuffworks.com/question51.htm)
    http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/9978/maxpg0.jpg

    1) They will do anything and stop at nothing
Well, I have a moral compass. I don’t do to others what I wouldn’t like to be done to me, or, in general, what people wouldn’t like to be done to them. So that means, no rape, no murder, no stealing.

    2) Following on from point one there are two basic corollaries:
    a) I am pro-abortion, because I have seen peoples life ruined by the coming of a kid. But I agree with you on one point : they should have be careful not to get a child in the first place (but in case of rape, I don’t think the girl could have done much)

    b) Most criminals are atheists, or, conversely, most atheists (ie all of them!) are criminals (they just haven?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t all been caught yet).
    Got proof ?

    3) Atheists do not worship Satan.
Indeed, we can’t worship someone we don’t believe in.

    4) It?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s not true that no one really is an Atheist.
I agree on that one, too.

    5) Atheists think they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥re cleverer than you.
Not really, on some points maybe, but you must be cleverer then me on others.
Everyone can’t be good at everything.

    6) Atheists hate Christians and Christianity.
As I don’t believe in heaven, I’m not jealous, that’s impossible (remember, you yourself said atheist really exist, and an atheist doesn’t believe, in God, Satan, or heaven)

    7) Atheists are nearly all druggists.
look back to 1), as drugs are bad for health, I don’t like them, and I don’t use them.

    8) All Democ-rats are Atheists.
I don’t know about that, but as Kerry got nearly half the votes at the last election, that means there are many more atheist than you said before. Which was right ?

    9) Atheists don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t know anything about Christianity.
I guess it depends on the person.
I read half the New Testament, but only read till Genesis 4.5 on the Bible.

    10) Atheists lives are cold and empty.
If atheists lives were so cold and empty, we wouldn’t be so hot on trying to show you that you are wrong.

And as we believe there is no afterlife, we try to get all we can from life. And ( look again at 1) ) that does not mean killing, raping, and so on. I like it when I did my job well, and I like having fun.

I love my family, I love my friends. I’m not depressed on thinking there is nothing after death. That makes me want to have a full life, and regret as little as possible when I die.
I also want to be well remembered by the people I met and the people I knew.

can you answer me? you have courage in order to guarantee that that you say? you always talk about free speech, but you write “(Oh and by the way, German liberals, your comments are not appreciated! I wish you well though!).”…this is non sense…can’t you accept Germans opinions? how do you talk of free speech if you are the first that don’t accept others’ opinions?are you an example of a good christian? NO, you aren’t.

you call me atheist, so I don’t take any drugs, I don’t smoke, I love arts and music, I love animals and I respect people, I don’t adore Satan, I never do not allow myself to judge the others because only God, If he exist, can decide if I have to go to heaven, not you. I have read the bible, and nowhere I find you some powers to allow me to judje someone else…where do you find them?
are you sure you are going to heaven? only your GOD can decide this, not you…can you read? have you ever read the bible? I think not.
I don’t believe in the church…they are all criminal, pedophilia is diffused between priests…Must I have faith to this? no thanks.

You must remember that your God leave us the possibility to choise how our life should be, why can’t you do this?

Yes I am liberal, I am democratic, I am communist, I eat children for breakfast…are you crazy? I don’t believe in your stupid president, he isn’t a good christian, he is a drunk, he is more stupid than me, I always ask myself how americas voted to him…he is rich, he defend money…you believe in money, here there’s the answer.
you cannot call me criminal for my ideas…you are a contraddiction, your entire life is nosense…for me the criminal are you and your ideas. I think you are as crazy as a muslim and I should reserve you the same treatment I reserve to a terrorist.

why don’t you answet to me? you are stupid, you write and you can’t support your words. and the fact you don’t write me is the proof of my theory. good night.

p.s. there is anybody else who can support this theory? please answet to me…please

    I think I’ll wait in eternity…poor me…

  27. Gabriel August 28th, 2006 11:24 PM

You are totally wrong. For example, US is one of the most cristian countries in the world, but if you compare with Japan, one of the most atheist countries in the world, Japan has fewer homicides and criminals than us, and almost 90 % of the people in Japan accept human evolution. I like US, but you are not US, and I dont like you!! US is a free country and if someone want to be atheist, there is no problem.

  28. Richard 23 August 29th, 2006 6:34 AM

Sam, another one of your well researched articles hits a nerve with the atheists. All the irrational attempts to refute your facts are laughable. Atheists lie because they have no “moral compass.” That’s all you need to know when you read through the squealing and desperate denials. I will watch for future articles in this series with anticipation.

Is it okay if I print out this article and post it on the local community bulletin board? The facts speak for themselves and you have given them voice. I bet this article could convince local atheists to repent their evil ways and convert to the glory of God.

STR.com makes the Christian Republican community proud!

  29. Maxime August 29th, 2006 8:10 AM

Will you print all the comments with it, Richard 23 ?
I ask because it seems many people don’t agree with you on that point.

  31. an atheist who do not speak english correctly August 30th, 2006 9:23 AM

i’m atheist and how american people are living is not my problem.

I don’t think pedophilia is ok (in your dreams, shelley!)

when you say that atheist have no values, you’re insulting me. that’s not thrue. they are just some differences.

    exemple:

Insulting people, put some censored, but pornographic photos on a blog where childern can go:

for Shelleythe Republican, agood christian : it’s OK, she do that every day
for the majority of atheist (because atheists are not all the sames): Not Ok: insulting people and pornography are not moraly acceptable.

the thing is that you don’t accept the difference (and also that you haven’t understanded the bible : ‘hate the sin, love the sinner’).

  32. Sen August 30th, 2006 2:03 PM

Once again, really funny article (and as criminal as all the others).
You should praise the Arabians, because this is one of their sayings and you should pray that it’s true because otherwise I don’t see how you should ever get into paradise (given that it exists):
“If God did not forgive bad people, his paradise would stay empty.”

  33. Alex - Neo Saga Hyper August 30th, 2006 4:14 PM

@ Sam, Tristam and Shelley :

Roman 2:1 – You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

  34. gneissguy August 31st, 2006 12:23 AM

you are quite sick, thinking you are superior to all nonbelievers and that we “hate America”. Nothing can be further from the truth. You can dream up all the sick lies you want about atheists, it’s people like you that eventually persecute others for their nonbeliefs. You are the real danger in America, preferrin to use parts of the constitution as toilet paper. Why do you think the establishment clause was included in the constitution, because people living in the dark ages still exist. saying evil things abpout atheists may make you sleep better and feel powerful, but in reality you are the evil ones doing dare I say, satan’s work. the thing that drives me crazy about you wacko republicans is that you love wars and making enenies out of everyone that doesn’t goosestep to jesus. the constitution is a sacred document, much more sacred that the bible writen by so iro age zealots, not by god as you claim. so go ahead, spread hate and mistrust towards your fellow americans. just think, you may be at the mercy of an atheist surgeon someday, sworn to do you harm, something you are not capable of. your kind will never prevail, because so many americans see you as the real threat to american, the tim mcvieghs of the right. why don’t you join the army and go kill some people, it will make you feel better. but watch out, god may guide the bullet of the real enemy, islamic radicals, and end your suffering. stop making enemies of your American neighbor, lest you become more evil than hitler. e pluribus unum.

    Are you stupid ?
    Your opinion is very funny

  37. gneissguy September 2nd, 2006 3:53 PM

stupid I am not. Irritated I am. why is it OK for right wing christians to talk about atheists like the kkk talks about blacks? answer, it’s not, and america is waking up to that fact. your kind has had it’s day, completely in power with no one to blame but yourselves for your pervasive failures. but, your kind thrives on scapgoating and half-truth slogans and talking points. respond to me on the issues, your baseless name calling serves only the idiots that can’t have an original thought. go ahead, debate me, because the truth is i can think circles around you and expose you for who you really are, constitution hating book-burninng bigots that prefer rhetoric to science and reason. give it your best, you know, throw up that verbal clay pigeon. i’m waiting.

  38. Richard 23 September 4th, 2006 4:04 AM

Failures, gneissguy? Lower taxes on the wealthy, winning the war on terror, no terrorist attacks since 9/11, low unemployment, cutting the deficit, spreading the Word, tightening down irresponsible “civil liberties,” etc. Sounds like we’re winning.

I suppose one could count not yet fixing Social Security (privatizing), getting rid of welfare and abortion and the death tax as things yet to be done. But there’s still two years of President Bush left and decades of Christian Republican rule yet to go. Rome wasn’t built in a day!

  39. Thameron September 4th, 2006 5:14 PM

So tell me Richard when exactly will ‘terror’ walk into the oval office say ‘I surrender’ and sign an armistice so that we can declare ‘the War on Terror’ ‘over’? That is what you mean by ‘winning’ isn’t it? And as far as ’shrinking’ the deficit perhaps you ought to think back on when we had a surplus, and who does the US owe all that money to? To China and Saudia Arabia where they execute people who profess your faith, boy there’s an irony don’t you think? Don’t you just love sending them money so they can buy more weapons to suppress Christianity in their countries? Get’s you right here doesn’t it? I do hope you have done your part in the ‘War on Terror’ by signing up and doing several tours of duty in Iraq. Otherwise I’d say your near hypocritical mass for sending other people off to do your fighting and killing for you while you sloganeer and plink away at your keyboard. No, you’re a right upstanding patriot not a lilylivered Mammon-loving chickenhawk right Richard?

  40. Hardryv September 6th, 2006 7:12 AM

This is so bizarre I almost think it has to be a joke, but then again my own brother got ‘the weak gene’ and is a fundy too — so I’ll just go out on a limb and assume you’re a psycho. Your post is better proof of it than your bible is of pretty much anything.

Accepting that, here’s some fun against you and your pent up hate. That hate btw is a true sign of your spiritual devotion, and I’ll happily use your 10 points in the process of deconstructing you — just because I’m good like that…

Your rhetoric is so like Ann Coulter’s that I’m wondering if this isn’t actually a male-crossover pen name she’s hiding behind to avoid further lawsuits. She’s obviously ‘manly’ enough to pull it off a male persona, and I’d wager she has the penis to prove it. I’ll call this point [1], because the both of you seem to “do anything and stop at nothing” to slander with nonsensical blather whomever about whatever without much of a clue — let alone all the facts. Most of the rest of us can’t figure out why you do it. Perhaps it’s because we aren’t ‘fundy-mentally challenged’ enough.

Our values [2] easily exceed yours because we don’t tend slander against the crazy right — I’m doing it mostly in jest, and owning up to it right here and right now. Where is your admission of being a bullshitter? Truthfully we don’t have to really go after your type since you all do a great job on your own. While you’re bashing on atheists, please do also enlighten us with your ever-so-Christian views on racism, slavery, rape, and murder — good reading in that funny Bible of yours. If there is a Satan [3] trying to manipulate the weak-willed and self-deluding of this world (i.e the Bible thumpers) to sin, I’m guessing it’s you ^^.

I’m am of course an atheist [4], and a proud one at that. I’m fairly smart too… but while you’re claiming we are all so smugly self-pumped about our intellect [5] I can only guarantee you one thing in that category. While there’s no proof we’re generally ’smarter’ than Christians, most all of us are surely smarter than .you. — your post above is our convincing witness. Heh, what an idiot (hmm, 5 letters in idiot… you ought to go look that one up).

I don’t generally hate Christians [6], but I’m surely against religion. Personal happiness is one thing, but what you and others of your ilk do and spew in the name of it gets too many people hurt or killed. That makes it bad btw, just in case your bible doesn’t convey that to you. I’m wise enough that I only show intolerance to intolerance. On that note I’m sure that you, Fred Phelps, David Duke, and Pat Buchanan all get yours from the same place… that ancient text full of so-called wisdom. If I give you 50 sheckles, can I convince you to burn it?

It amusing that you think Atheists are drug users [7] (btw moron, a druggist is a drug manufacturer or drugstore clerk/owner — it seems your spell checker doesn’t do definitions), especially when the in-prison theist % far, far exceeds the in-prison atheist % (no really, go look it up — a apologize in advance for shaming the crap out of you and yours). Note that the % covers .all. crimes, not just drugs. I’m guessing that means you believers ‘win’ in all categories. Sound fair? Do you still think your the morally superior slice of humanity? It seems the law doesn’t. Hmm… I feel one of your uninformed, gross generalizations coming on. Does that make all people in law enforcement atheists? Oh please, enthrall me with your acumen ^^!

It’s hardly surprising that you think Republican = Christian and Democrat = Atheist [8]. The church has had it’s greedy tendrils deep into the government policy since before the turn of last century, and everything is right where they want it.

Those brain-washing dividends of the church are finally paying off:
    * The lessons of our fore-fathers about religion vs. government are mostly long forgotten, and now we all suffer our ruined economy…
    * Bush, the most powerful inbreeder on the planet, has verifiably referred to the Constitution as ‘just a goddammed piece of paper’…
    * Republicans currently have full control of all three branches of our government…

It’s not surprising you want to polarize the country on ‘inclusion of republicans’ since they have the power (and money) atm. It sorta reminds me of how you count up ‘all the Christians’ when figuring out how many of them there are by % of poulation. It’s always amusing when your kind bashes the sects that aren’t yours afterward and say they aren’t ‘true Christians’. Your blatant hypocrisy paints you a nice red color for the rest of us to see you with. One of the things that makes it worth waking up everyday is my belief that the days your ilk has in power here in the US are numbered.

I think my content so far demonstrates what I know about Christianity [9], which is not as much as I could know… but I’m quite content that I know more than enough. I never belived that tripe your type pushes as ‘truth’ and ‘evidence’ (neither of which a fundy ever seems to comprehend the meaning of). Thankfully my intellect at six years of age was enough to conquer and deconstruct the lies of ‘greatest story ever told’. Does my mind per chance remind you of an iron charriot?

So… given all of that how could my life be empty or cold [10] when folks like you give me …so very much… to laugh at, mock, and comment on. Atheism has only been common in society for a few hundred years, but with rampant hate like yours fuelling our fires we’ll be the majority sooner than you’re comfortable with. I just hope I’m still around to see you and yours cringe after our species self-enlightens.

  41. Hardryv September 6th, 2006 9:59 PM

Apologies for my grammaticals last night… I was almost to bed when I posted ;).

  42. gneissguy September 7th, 2006 5:48 PM

richard 23. it seems as if you are one of the brain dead that thinks iraq was not only a good idea but that we are winning. “irresponsible civil liberties”, is that what you call the gutting of our constitution and intrusions into the private lives of innocent Americans? remember, fisa gave you the power to wiretap, you just had to go to court within 72 hours AFTER THE FACT. THINK of it, under your rules, anyone can be spied on for any reason. what – you don’t trust federal judges? afraid a “liberal” judge might object to spying on innocent Americans. either you have a brain tumor that has destroyed your reasoning, or you are a dangerous nazi bent on creating a christian theocracy, where freedom is doublespeak for treason. you call our huge deficit a success, i guess it is since most of it went to your buddies. i guess you are getting even for feeding the poor. i hate taxes just like the next guy. but the gap between the wealthy and middle/lower income Americans is now a gaping chasm. i guess you mark that as a sucess too. and the health care crisis you jerks have created, more without insurance than ever, another resounding success. yes, you have been successful in creating a fledgling theocracy, where you are above all criticism, but it’s going to be a long fall when the corruption is finally exposed after the dems take back the house. Americans don’t know 1/10 the story behind the scenes, thanks to the right wing propoaganda machine. gloat over your crooked victories, it’s all you have left. the day of reckoning is near. jail awaits your corrupt buddies. America is for all Americans, not just the “select few”. i hate your kind, lest you forget, i am not a liberal, but a pissed off fiscal conservative social moderate out for revenge. get the tar and feathers ready my fellow moderate Americans, it’s our turn.

  43. Sam Johnston September 14th, 2006 5:57 AM

Hardryv, I forgive your grammatical errors, but little else. Why are you liberals so crazy. Don’t you know that faith is about the heart, and morality rather than the brain? You can’t argue withe me. God tells me what to do!

  44. Renali September 14th, 2006 2:17 PM

Hardryv – that was an excellent post. However, your effort falls on deaf ears. They won’t hear you. They hate us because they don’t know the first thing about us (as this and it’s companion article prove).

There’s nothing to do but pity them. Lies, slander, logical fallacies and fragile faith do not a strong foundation make.

  45. Ryan McLeod September 19th, 2006 5:58 PM

Wow, has no one here ever read a satirical article before? The writer is obviously being sarcastic. Do you honestly believe anyone would ever say “A typical Atheist. Look at his stupid hat! And the way he hides his eyes from God?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s light.” in a serious argument?

Anyway, I think this is an excellent article. It always drives me crazy when atheism gets attacked by the misinformed.

  46. Tristan Shuddery September 19th, 2006 6:04 PM

Ryan, please allow me to remind you (and all your athiest wingnut friends), that STR.com is a serious family-values think-tank. We are not an athiest satire site or some corny liberal prank. I am trying to save your soul from eternal damnation, not make you laugh.

I find your remarks profoundly offensive, not to mention just plain wrong.

  47. google September 20th, 2006 2:48 PM

    nigs make me sick

  48. Daniel Zacharias September 22nd, 2006 6:09 PM

What a laugh out loud article! But frankly I’m not surprised at how misinformed and ignorant your writing happens to be. It is the propegation of misinformation and ignorance that holds religion together. Despite the work of brilliant people throughout the ages to expand our base of knowledge and widen our perspective on the cosmos, you insist on clinging to the ancient mythologies of a time where people were 95% illiterate and held such a narrow worldview they believed god lived in the clouds and all the celestial bodies revolved around our flat earth. It is the attitudes of individuals like you that destroyed the great library in Alexandria in the 4th century for it’s “God-less knowledge,” and slaughtered millions of “heathens” throughout history in the name of “Christ.”

Atheists actually appreciate the wonders of the cosmos MORE than religious folks because we are able to digest the wonder of the science involved. My appreciation for the nature of the cosmos comes from the realization that we must keep searching for answers. We must continue to re-evaluate all we know and all we THINK we know. We must learn without boundaries, exceptions or sacred cows.

What you call miracles, I call nature. What you call God, I call the Cosmos. Why does God have to be super-natural? Have you read ANY history of the Bible or textual criticism of scripture? Have you ever studied religion as a natural phenomena? (Of course not!) Has it ever occurred to you that it might be YOU that is the threat to everyone else? So dead set in your ways against any knowledge or progress that may undermine your childlike view of the universe that you put up obstacles and roadblocks to open-minded thought and write articles such as this one that do nothing but divide people. (By the way… Your man-god’s name wasn’t really Jesus. It was Yeshua… Which in English is pronounced Joshua. If you insist on worshipping a man, the least you can do is get his name right. Ask yourself, would Yeshua have written this article?)

I pity your bigotry, ignorance, and lack of vision.

  49. Sam Johnston September 23rd, 2006 3:58 AM

Here’s the bottom line Daniel. You’re going to hell. I’m not.

Bet that wiped the smug smile off your face!

I’m an atheist and I love my mother (and the rest of my family) very much. I know the difference between right and wrong and I’ve given to the poor (which is more than you could say). One does not need god to feel love or have morals. I pity you for having these untrue beliefs. A beleif in no god is not evil. What is evil is intolerance of people of other religions, countries and sexuality. I am sorry that you have these narrow beliefs.

  55. David October 18th, 2006 7:21 PM

What bull@#(%! This is the typical Christian/Catholic thing to say about athiests. Being one, I’m not jealous that your going to “heaven” and I don’t care if you are religious or not. Religion is a brainwash and they say that everybody prays in unique ways but they all beleive in an afterlife. Its uniform destruction of human society. I have lots of values, I value life but also peoples rights (unlike christians). Your god made the ten commandments but is a hypocrite, Thou shal not kill is probably the most memorable one, but god kills hundreds of thousands for not beleiving in him and also tells Moses to poison the wells of a non-christian town. Athiests are more clever than you like-minded Christians. I see pornograhy as a money making buisness an I do not agree with pedophillia. Most criminals have a mental disorder where they feel that they have to be violent to be normal, Not because they are athiest. You offended me on SO many levels, I do know about christianity and I read it from an athiests point of view, and it was evil and cruel. I can also prove that god does not exist because in the bible he kills or commands many to kill all the non-religious.

THAT IS NOT FAIR!! Although I am a mormon & strongly beleive in God, it’s not right to judge EVERY Athiest like that. I know how it feels to get judged for what you beleive, & I know how much it can hurt. To do it to other people makes you just as bad as the ones who did it to you. The Athiests’ I’ve come across are extremely sceptical & cold to anyone who doesn’t feel the way they do, but I don’t beleive every Athiest is hateful & mean like that, & you should’t judge them that way!

  59. Phil October 29th, 2006 10:42 PM

    dear shelly,

Great work! you know whats worse than athiests, jews. with their silly hats and beards. they have got to be the biggest joke in the history of religous beliefs. if only the jews decided not to kill jesus and just join him, the world would be a much better place for all of us.

    Uncle Fucker!…..suck my balls.

  60. Fawmer C. November 9th, 2006 8:43 PM

I really like the whole “you’re going to hell, ha-ha” response. It makes me look forward to the day when I arrive in Hell, crack open a beer, smoke a joint, have unprotected sex, a much deserved cigarette, while jamming with some of the most incredible musicians that ever lived for the rest of eternity.
The way I see it, if there were a god, and there were satan, and everything in the bible were true, satan would only be doing god’s bidding by punishing people. Why would satan, adversary of god, go right along with his plans? He wouldn’t. If smoking pot, listening to music, and being an atheist guarantee me Hell, I’m down.

What does this statement tell you about god?
He creates the universe (the whole universe, not just our planet, solar syatem, galaxy, local group, cluster, or supercluster) so that its physical laws allow for the existence of human beings, ultimately so he can be worshipped by them.

    Those glasses are phat!

  66. Gaspump February 19th, 2007 1:51 AM

Kitten, atheist isn’t a cult – it’s a definition. If you don’t hold any beliefs in a certain theology (for you, the Christian God), then you are an atheist. Don’t feel too down about it.

When did you, Sam, resign from your role as an agent of the Lord? Jesus did not discriminate against those who had different or no belief systems, instead he demonstrated the compassion of Christ to the non-believers and provided them with the infinite warmth of the Christian heart. As a Christian, should you not demonstrate similar compassion and open your heart to those who need it?

I am an atheist by way of choice, Christianity is far too institutionalised and absolutist these days to feel as though you are still living a life by God. God would not want us to hate.

  67. AssyKey February 19th, 2007 2:15 AM

Hi, great site, congrats to all involved, love the comments, they are just so real, and your forum chat feature rocks LOL

  68. Dave February 19th, 2007 2:50 AM

Ha! Hey gaspump, read the bible.
http://www.evilbible.com/Murder.htm is a great site that shows how “compassionate” God and Jesus were.
    Here’s one of my favorites:
    Kill Followers of Other Religions.

    1) If your own full brother, or your son or daughter, or your beloved wife, or you intimate friend, entices you secretly to serve other gods, whom you and your fathers have not known, gods of any other nations, near at hand or far away, from one end of the earth to the other: do not yield to him or listen to him, nor look with pity upon him, to spare or shield him, but kill him. Your hand shall be the first raised to slay him; the rest of the people shall join in with you. You shall stone him to death, because he sought to lead you astray from the Lord, your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. And all Israel, hearing of this, shall fear and never do such evil as this in your midst. (Deuteronomy 13:7-12 NAB)

    2) Suppose a man or woman among you, in one of your towns that the LORD your God is giving you, has done evil in the sight of the LORD your God and has violated the covenant by serving other gods or by worshiping the sun, the moon, or any of the forces of heaven, which I have strictly forbidden. When you hear about it, investigate the matter thoroughly. If it is true that this detestable thing has been done in Israel, then that man or woman must be taken to the gates of the town and stoned to death. (Deuteronomy 17:2-5 NLT)

  69. Jo February 19th, 2007 4:25 AM

I feel sorry for you, a so-called christian, that you are full of such hate, such bile, such absolute twaddle.

Thank goodness for the people who have already posted here with a wealth of information showing that christians do not have a monopoly on treating their fellow humans with kindness and respect.

In fact, many of the ‘christian’ leaders are people who abuse their powerful positions to inflict harm upon children, women and rob families of their money to increase their personal wealth.

Atheism merely rejects the notion of a deity, whether good or evil. I realise that this means we reject you and your lifestyle to some extent, but not that we are more likely to break the law or cause harm to others.

    Ok, is this a spoof?
I’m guessing it is, but with Americans you can never tell.

  71. Marc Holt February 19th, 2007 9:32 AM

There’s really only one thing to say about this Blog:

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!

I just love the way he trots out all the tired old accusations and arguments. Ho hum….

Why waste any time on this bozo trying to point out the errors in his thinking? Either he is as ignorant as he paints himself, or he is taking the piss out of you all. Don’t give him the time of day my fellow atheists. We have much better things to do with our lives.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll throw and another fetus on the barbie.

Oh! One more thing. Let’s take up a collection to buy him a dictionary. Or at least some lessons on using a spell checker…..

  72. theAsocialApe February 19th, 2007 10:03 AM

we atheists also have bigger schlongs than xians.

  73. Jason February 19th, 2007 11:09 AM

This is quite sad. You obviously have no idea what it means to be an atheist. Allow me to speak for myself.

    1. I am moral. I treat others with compassion, courtesy, and respect, just as I would like to be treated. My “moral compass” is my empathy.

2.a. There is no evidence that there’s any link whatsoever between pornography and atheism. Your correlation is invented. Additionally, pro-choice and pro-abortion are not the same thing. I believe pregnant mothers should have the right to choose for themselves. That’s not equivalent to wanting people to get abortions. I’d rather no one had an abortion. But it’s not my right to choose for others. That’s what pro-choice means.

2.b. Again, this is completely invented.

    3. True.

    4. True. I am an atheist.

    5. Do you not think you’re superior to atheists? It seems you’re being quite hypocritical here.

    6. My family is Christian, including both my parents. I love them all.

    7. Once again, this is invented.

    8. Invented.

    9. Invented.

    10. Invented. I’m both an artist and a musician. And I love my family and friends dearly.

Please don’t make claims that aren’t true. This is why I believe in evidence. It prevents me from making things up out of thin air in order to support my beliefs and opinions. I can understand why you’d feel so threatened by atheists if you truly believe what you say you do. But you are wildly mistaken. And now you are spreading terrible rumors.

  74. Jason February 19th, 2007 11:22 AM

Ok, this site is a joke. What’s really sad, then, is just how believable it is.

  75. Bill Richey February 19th, 2007 11:34 AM

Jesus taught christians not to hate others. You say you hate atheists more than Muslims. So you are full of hate. How can you call yourself a christian?

  76. Jude February 19th, 2007 11:52 AM

It’s all true… as part of the atheist coven it is one of our most guarded secrets, but we killed Jesus back in 2000 when he came back.

We did this in secret, and now no-one will ever know he returned… but now the secret is out!!!! Bwahahaha Our evil plan to take over the world is now in it’s final stages!

Throughout the centuries we have also changed the word of God in the Bible. As we all know, atheists are well read and literate, and therefor we controlled the publication of each version of the bible throughout the centuries.

Water into wine… hahahaha… and you fell for it!

  77. The Atheist February 19th, 2007 12:19 PM

So much for loving your neighbor. This reminds me of that one speech Jesus gave about hating everyone who disagrees with your crazy-ass tribal belief system. You would be so much happier if you weren’t so fucking confused about your own principals. Why don’t you work on that?

  78. 12345 February 19th, 2007 12:22 PM

Im pretty sure the majority of the worlds religions will fall in the next hundred years. I can’t wait.

  79. Atheist and Proud February 19th, 2007 2:23 PM

Listen to all the atheist haters…like what he fuck are you doing judging me? Religion is the main cause for war in this world and everyone uses it to justify their cause which is absolute bullshit.

  80. hemlock_martini February 19th, 2007 2:28 PM

HEY WHERE DID YOU GET THAT PICTURE OF ME

Those sunglasses are awesome. They totally block out that “God” dude who’s always getting in my way when I’m off to murder nuns and give women abortions and purchase gay midget snuff porn.

Oh, by the way, I’m not an athiest. I just think your religion is extremely silly. Thanks for being a great example of how fucked-up American Christianity is.

  81. cali guy February 19th, 2007 3:30 PM

I really generaly don’t like to mention it, but MANY surveys have found that smart, educated people are MUCH more likely to be atheists then the public at large.

I’ve read good sized chunks of the bible, and feel that anyone who thinks it’s the word of god needs to have thier head examined. And if you know anything about the history of the bible, you’d know that it has been translated many times, often by people with agendas.

  82. Kiwi February 19th, 2007 4:10 PM

Is this a joke, or are you completely serious? I really can’t tell. If you are serious then it’s a really odd view to have of the world. Atheists don’t know good from evil? Really?? They’re all into porn and drugs? You’re seriously disturbed if this is the view you truely believe. No wonder people end up hating Christians if this is the sort of stuff you tell them. I pray for you that you will be given some more insight and tolerance. Fair enough if this is your view, but if this is the way Christianity is heading, then I might just jump ship and join the Atheists!

  83. midnightjester February 19th, 2007 4:36 PM

    Dear Shelley,

For a Christian your heart seems disturbingly full of hate and bile. This saddens me, a long-time atheist and someone who sees faith as a constructive thing for many people and something that tends toward negativity only when wrapped up in the organisations of men.

I feel your access to atheists has been limited so I would love to share my views on your 10 points.

    1) People have had what you refer to as a “moral compass” since long before your religion existed. We are pack animals incapable of surviving alone and therefore tend toward systems of rules for living together.

    2) a) Atheists are very conscious of harming others or allowing our lives to degrade as we have no “heaven” to go to. This is all the life we have and we intend to fill it with joy and happiness. You are right about us liking things like sex- and many of us also like visual representations of sex and beautiful human bodies but we do not think of this a pornographic. Wars and pictorial representations glorifying them are pornographic. Societal obsession with “evils of sex” are pornographic.

2 b) Organised religion has been the cause of more death than anything else designed by man in human history. This is not to debunk those who want faith in a higher power (see opening paragraph)

    3) You are right, we do not worship Satan. Nor anyone else.

    4) You are right, there are atheists. I am one.

    5) Almost everyone thinks they are clever. I am sure there are many Christians, Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus that are more intelligent than me. None of them would bother carrying hatred in their hearts, I assure you. And yes, we are fans of ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?scientific methodology?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?reasoned argument?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?historical evidence?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?documentary proof?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? and ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?logic?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?. Without doubt.

    6) We don’t hate anyone, although we are mystified by the inherent contradictions of many Christians, Muslims et al. in where they preach love and understanding and then spew bile and hatred yet never see this as wrong. We can’t be jealous of you going to heaven because we do not believe- by definition (if we did believe we would be Christians).

I acknowledge that by your standards, whatever they may be, that I may be depraved (not big on marriage, have sex when I want, support abortion etc.).

Terrence and Philip are funny. But not to all Atheists. Some consider it infantile (it is) and stupid (it is) and don’t get the sense of humour (I do).

    7) I have, indeed, tried many drugs. Some on prescription and some not. I would not say those that I know who have also tried were universally atheists nor those I know who are uninterested. Promise. Many of us do not see drugs as evil. My Muslim friends do, though.

    8) This comment really made me think your site had to be a parody. It really did.

    9) I grew up in a Christian country with bible study for an hour every day. When I moved to the UK I went to a Catholic school. Many atheists did grow up in heavily religious environments and rejected the idea of a god.

    10) Rainbows are all the more beautiful for understanding the processes by which they are made. Anyone who has studied science and failed to marvel at the universe has not understood what is in front of them.

Good luck with your campaign, Shelly. My hope is that whatever has really made you angry at the world or atheists or whatever sorts itself out. Best of luck.

    midnightjester
    depraved (apparently) athiest,

  84. SID February 19th, 2007 5:06 PM

ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! “All atheists are criminals??” Hahahahahaha!!!!! I almost fell over laughing. You have serious problems my friend….go see a Psyc..

    Sid.

  85. Mike February 19th, 2007 8:39 PM

Wow, where to start. The US is pretty much the most Christian country in the world today has the most believers in a Christian God and has its jails packed full of Christian criminals, rapists, murderers. The US rate of incarceration is about 8 times higher than the rest of the OECD and is much higher than the godless dictatorship of China. Atheists make up a very small part of the prison population and yet if we believed you the prisons should be brim full of them. This is probably due to the fact that the smarter you are the more likely you are to be an atheist ( I mean, how many smart people believe unquestioningly the contradictory writings of anyone, let alone those who lived 2000+ years ago before any kind of science) guys and less likely you are to be in prison.

I am glad you are a Republican, believing in fairy tales will ensure your party’s eventual demise in the face of reality.

  86. Derek February 19th, 2007 8:40 PM

This is the most moronic and loathsome trite I have ever had to read, you are a detestable, hateful and deluded person. Is this a joke? There can’t possible be a human being anywhere in the world that holds the crackpot beliefs that you espouse in this abhorrent article. This really is supposed to be ironic isnt it? Because if not I fear for you, you’re doomed, And so are all of the people in your orbit.

Sincerely – Absolutely shocked by you ignorance and really quite amused in Dublin, Ireland.

  87. woah April 5th, 2007 12:51 PM

wow this is so retarded its hilarious

  88. Sensible June 5th, 2007 2:56 PM

Muslims don’t pose a threat to America and the rest of the world, radical religious people do. Hey! Guess what you are! A radical religious person, what do you know. Enough said.
