An inconvenient truth

-

Al Gore says that he has ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ to tell.

What? You mean like the fact that you LOST the election Al Gore?

I?m sure plenty of my good Christian readers don?t know what I?m talking about, so I?ll explain. I?m sorry to say that Al Gore, not content with filling up our screens with liberal nonsense in the run up to the 2000 elections, has come out from whatever stone he crawled under back then and made a film about so-called ?climate change?. He?s called this propaganda piece ?An Inconvenient Truth? and not surprisingly, all kinds of liberals are going to see it.

More worrying, however, is the fact that some good Christians seem to have watched it too.

To avert the risk of these decent God-fearing people from being taken in by Gore?s fear-mongering nonsense slurry, and in case anyone else is tricked into seeing it, I?ve decided to post an analysis of the film.

Inconvenient Truth poster

Here is a typical still from An inconvenient Truth. What does this mean? Stop trying to baffle us with your junk science, Al Gore!

First of all, let me say that I haven?t seen this movie. I don?t intend to and I urge all my readers to avoid it as well. No doubt whingeing liberals will try and criticize this decision, but I say to them, you don?t need to catch a cancer to know it?s bad for you – and the same goes for drinking up poisonous liberal lies.

And make no mistake. It?s all lies. As I?ve already said, the biggest falsehood in this film is about so-called ‘climate change’. ‘Climate change’ is what the liberals claim is happening to this planet to scare good Christians into voting for them. They say that the world is getting hotter (the junk science technical term for this is ?global warming”) and say that if we don?t do something about it soon we will all be dead because of rising sea levels. They also say that this ?climate change? is caused by pollution. Suspiciously enough, they also claim that this pollution is caused by people living the American way by driving nice cars and not sitting in the dark at night. That’s right: the very way of life that liberals hate!

Al Gore

Al Gore, ugly as well as wrong.

Now the liberals have found a man to champion their campaign of lies and confusion: Al Gore, the man who put the vice into Vice-President (ha! ha! Vice means sinful too, just the right kind of description for Al Gore).

Al Gore, you’ve got a nerve telling us what to do! If we?d wanted you to do that, we?d have voted for you in 2000. As it was, the better man got more votes. So why are you bugging us with your opinions on things that no longer concern you??!!

Phew. Sorry, I always rant when I think about Al Gore too much.

This sick man is so desperate for attention that he?s even been crawling around our brave country giving talks and lectures about this global warming thing that isn?t happening. And small surprise, he?s been saying some pretty insulting stuff.

For instance, Gore blames hurricane Katrina on ‘global warming’. I?m sure Christian readers don?t need me to tell them that this is baloney and that that storm was God?s judgement on New Orleans for all its jazz clubs. But how sickening that Gore will use the loss of thousands of lives for political gain and to push a totally unrelated personal agenda!

New Orleans Jazz band
New Orleans Jazz: What the devil likes to dance to.

How sickening too that Gore has turned to that stew of corruption, Hollywood to help get his message across and (if the rumors are right) to help launch his campaign to replace our current Mr President when his term of office is over.

Michael Moore

Michael Moore. Another Hollwood liberal. Look at how fat he is. Disgusting!

What’s more, the details of Gore?s wacky theories aren?t as important as the motive behind them. Just think about it. How convenient would it be to have an invisible enemy, that no one can see and that can never be stopped in our lifetime? If that were the case, the liberals would be able to ensure that the country would permanently be afraid and on a war-footing. They?d be able to pass all kinds of crazy legislation because of the ?emergency? and anyone that criticized them would be labelled as ?unpatriotic”? and a ?traitor”?.

That?s right! Global warming is just a liberal conspiracy to help the liberals win an election. They?ve seen what happens when good Americans are faced with real threats like Saddam?s Weapons Of Mass Destruction and the crazy beard-men of Islam. They know how the country unites behind the man who pledges to get rid of that danger (thank you Mr President!). And so now they?ve decided to invent an enemy of their own.

Of course, Gore and his cronies can?t bomb SUV drivers like they?d like to, but I?ve learned they want to do something even sneakier. They want to raise taxes. And taxes hurt people far more than bombs ever do.

Are you going to let this mad liberal maniac trick you into voting for him and then pay for the privilege? Me neither. And so I urge you all not to watch his boring film.

May God bless you all,

Sam Johnston

What are you talking about Danny Crane? I wish people of a higher intellectual standard than you would comment sometimes.

  3. Swissguy July 7th, 2006 9:05 AM

    Guys, stop thinking so binary:

    Bad/good
    Republican/Democrat
    God/Satan
    Americans/others
    1/0

Maybe if you unlock some others neurona you will realise life is a lot more subtile.
I will give you a tip, please close this website. You maybe don’t realise what you are doing but it is really DANGEROUS to all humans beeing to spread ideas like that (see i don’t care ONLY about americans, me)

    *In steps THJ*

Something we have in common – we both hate Michael Moore. God damn, what an annoying twat that man is.

The rest of the article is utter bollocks, of course. Are you seriously telling me global warming isn’t happening? Do you really, honestly believe it is a conspiracy?

I want proof of what you’re saying. I want a fucking graph showing that global warming is not happening.

  5. Sam Johnston July 7th, 2006 9:29 AM

How can I make a graph to show something that isn’t happening THJ?

Of course it’s a conspiracy! next you’ll be trying to tell me that the world wasn’t made in seven days and that humans are descended from monkeys. I know your type.

  6. Nicolas July 7th, 2006 9:36 AM

Yeah, the better man got the most votes in 2000. So the other one should just shut up and let good Americans run the country.

  7. KoKo July 7th, 2006 9:56 AM

Global warming maybe coming, but it isn’t caused by pollution. The earth changes climate very often, remember the last ice age? The earth will change from an icy planet to a hot planet and then back to icy, it has been like this for billions of years! It has nothing to do with pollution, the earth itself releases the largest amount of CO2, humans only contribute a tiny percentage of the CO2 emission. We need to focus on protecting ourselves from the climate change, instead of needlessly whine about CO2 emission. If you still believe in CO2 caused global warming, please stop breathing, since breathing air releases CO2.

That\’s very funny to see that in a country how pretend to be a democraty, when the majority of the population vote for qomebody, he is sure to be elected.

that\’s why we can say: the USA is a reel democraty. I wish that my stupid country was too.

like during the 2000 elections; more people have voted for Al Gore than for Bush.

Well that says it all about the kind of biggit that you are.. I see you are still attacking people… How dare you say you wish people of intelligence would respond to this post… You get what you give…. So if you want intelligent people to comment.. write and intelligent article…

Have you been living in a cave for the last 4 years or what ? Don’t you know that America has so much democracy that we have to export our surplus?

I guess you don’t live in a democratic country and don’t even know what you’re talking about. Do you even get Fox News where you live? If not, how could you know what is a democracy?

Sounds kind of like….what Bush is doing now. Now isn’t that odd. Opps, I mean the Republican Party. Bush has not the intellegence to tie his shoe, taking over the world seems a little ahead of him.

  17. Anonymous July 7th, 2006 3:18 PM

Why are you so pissed off for Al Gore “telling you what to do”? Does he hold some kind of power over you? Hell, you tell liberals what to do everyday, but they choose the better road and JUST IGNORE YOU. If he bothers you so much, shouldn’t you do the same for Al Gore, instead of devoting an entire post to him?

Yeah, Sam. Back in the seventies we were told the world was going to freeze (too cold) and now they say it’s going to sizzle (too hot). Now that we have the greatest president in the history of the world, everything’s going to be just right.

Look how fat Michael Moore is! Gross. Then look how fit our president is. Which would you choose?

  21. Richard 23 July 7th, 2006 7:10 PM

Why are my comments not appearing? What is this, a LLLiberal site? Try posting the truth on a commie site like Kos and it never sees the light of day.

  22. Max July 7th, 2006 7:57 PM

The igornance ! The arrogance !

You people think your belief is some sort of divine truth. You sit on anyone who opposes you. The world wasn’t made in 7 days. It took a few billion years, go look at the damn fossils.

Gore didn’t lose the election. He actually had more votes. Idiot.

You prefer to take the bible litterally, which is almost a sin because it’s obvious you don’t understand it, when the proof is right there in front of your eyes. You are so condescendant and foolish that you want to spread your ignorance in our schools ! You want teachers to teach them that man simply appeared on Earth, which would mean we are all inbreeds, and that Eve actually came from Adam’s rib. That’s a symbolic story ! I respect the Bible, and I can see it’s message ! But you, you have to take it word for word. You have to deform and defile your own holy text ! Reading your blog posts could be enough to call you Anti-Christ.

    Fools.

  23. Ghalaad July 7th, 2006 8:11 PM

USA are a real bushcraty …
“you?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ll be trying to tell me that the world wasn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t made in seven days and that humans are descended from monkeys. I know your type. ”
And i know your, ignorant integrist.
ADAM & EVE IS A STORY, no *the* HISTORY.
Damn, you have no proof, validating some unbrained theory on dogma and thinking we would say “oooooh you’re so right”. You’re wrong :p You’re even wronger when you think USA are a democraty: death penalty, antipersonnal Mines,Secret Services as drug & weapons dealers, countries take over, money before human and more… Sorry that is not being christian, that is being STUPID and absolutely not informed of today’s world.
USA is a the only country which cross from barbarism to decadencia without being civilisation.

  24. Thirqual July 7th, 2006 8:13 PM

Change global warming with terrorism in the last paragrah (and democrats by republicans, btw).

Your irony is wonderfully distracting, too bad so few people are getting that.

Oh, Koko, what you wrote is non-sense, and that’s easy to prove. CO2 is emited by the earth through _huge_ volcanic events, like the ones in India 60 millions year from now. Currently the volcanic activity is very low. The increase of CO2 in the atmosphere is also the steepest in know climate history. Well, except is earth was created 6000 years ago by a god playful enough to bury fossils, neolithic cities and coherent rock formations over the last millions of years…

  25. Richard 23 July 7th, 2006 8:36 PM

    Shorter Max: I hate Christians.

Thirqual: Trees need CO2 to live. Think about that, treehugger.

The moonbats are really swarming here. They really hate the truth.

If only some would come here who can spel! Hahaha.

  26. Aurain July 7th, 2006 9:06 PM

Global warming is bullshit. Agreed. The Earth is in a natural warming cycle right now…we’re still coming out of the last Ice Age. Sure, humans have an effect, but we can’t control nature. That’s either the realm of God, or natural immutable physical laws of nature…effectively, it’s saying the same thing. And the belief that Americans are the primary cause is so far past bullshit I don’t know the proper term for it. Most of the real pollution comes from developing countries that are making the transition out of being third-world hellholes, such as China. Which, while still a hellhole, is no longer a third-world hellhole. Most of the factories blamed for this pollution within the US don’t even operate here anymore, and the ones that do are a fraction of those operating in China. Also, the whole rising sea levels bit, the most it can really rise within the next hundred years in two inches. A whole two inches. And that’s a worst-case scientific estimate based on exponential temperature growth at a relatively high factor. That’s not even enough to to put water in the streets of Manhattan! Don’t believe me? Get a ruler, and mark two inches. That’s it. Not much, if you actually look. The oceans aren’t going to be meeting the Appalacian (sp?) Mountains again anytime soon.

I don’t have any clue what the first screenshot is supposed to be for, though I do recognize that it’s some bastardization of ocean current charts and upper-level atmosphere airflow charts…

The second image is captioned most appropriately.

Now here’s what pissed me off. Katrina was no more a specific act of God than any other hurricane in the year. It’s absolute bullshit. If God had wanted New Orleans gone, he would have had Katrina hit the shore at Cat 5, not Cat 3. Hell, He would have probably made it so powerful they’d have to make a Cat 6 just for it. God is proven nothing if not thorough by the Bible. He doesn’t do things by halves, but in spades. You’re spouting exactly that sort of Pat Robertson-esque bullshit that gives good Christians everywhere a bad name.

I completely agree with your description of Hollywood, most appropriate. But, please, for the love of all that is Good and Holy, NEVER post another picture of that lardassed mongoloid Moore. EVER.

That picture would have been perfect for capping off the article, but then you started spouting what pretty much resembles your own particular conspiracy-theory bullshit. You might have some truth in there, especially about Gore using this to his advantage (something of a “duh” statement, really), but you dissolved from meaningful criticism into pointless ranting.

  27. Aurain July 7th, 2006 9:11 PM

Damn, I hate it when I forget major points. Unlike you, I will be going to see this piece of shit, load of shit, movie. Why? So I can refute it, in detail, properly, and have proper knowlege of its arguments. The exact same reason I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 (YAY for the author of Fahrenheit 411 suing the pants off Michael Moore) and Loose Change 2 (I needed four airplanes worth of barf bags for their four airplanes worth of lies and misinformation).

Don’t attempt to argue against a movie you haven’t seen. It’s pointless, because even I would give the point to a Democrat when they’ve at least seen what’s under discussion, and you haven’t, because they’re at least making informed (even if their information was false) comments, versus your ignorant ones.

  28. Richard 23 July 7th, 2006 9:12 PM

One more thing. Jim questioned this statement: ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?And taxes hurt people far more than bombs ever do.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?

How many bombs have you been hit by?
How many times have you paid taxes?

    Think about it.

  29. TriggerHappyJim July 7th, 2006 9:45 PM

“How can I make a graph to show something that isn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t happening THJ?”

You mean you can’t? Because if that isn’t a rhetorical question then its a very stupid one. Hell, it?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s even stupid as a rhetorical question. Of course you can make a graph that proves that something isn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t happening. Besides, I said graph as an example. Just give me solid proof that global warming is not happening, whatever form it may be in.

  31. Scientist July 7th, 2006 10:06 PM

Stop to try to be logic with those kind of people. They have their own postulate and so their own logic. If you admit that bible is an incontestable truth, then you can’t accept modern science because there is a contradiction.

The difference between a scientist theory and a christian theory is that a scientist theory is not THE truth but a possibility. A scientist need to ask question about the postulate and the discover , a religious person just need to have “the faith”.
They are just prisoner of their own system. They just don’t understand the world.

Just a final question : For you , earth has a rotation around Sun or Sun has a rotation around earth ?

  35. Thirqual July 7th, 2006 11:35 PM

To scientist’s last question : both, depending on your chosen referential.

Excuse me, but I can’t stop posting logical facts just to have stupid answers like trees needing CO2 to live (try to put a plant under a bell with 5% of CO2 in the air under the same bell to see it wither and die), or the climate just going out of the late ice age and still warming (Milankovic’s cycles anyone ?)

We had 4 complete cycles in the last 100 000 years, which amounts to 25 000 years for a glaciation plus a hot period. Our hot period started 12 000 years ago. Do the maths.

Difference from the 70′s ? oh, just computers, ice boring in antartica, modelisations, and a whole bunch of climatologists instead of just a fistful.

A factory doesn’t produce much CO2. A thermal plant does. CO2 production is thus linked to the energy consumption, not to the amount of factories or volume of manufactured goods.

Actually the sea is rising at the speed of 3mm/year. This is not discussed and is accepted by every climatologist, even carboscepticals (measures at stations studying te tides).

If you are serious about that (and know how to use a calculator), volume of ocean water is about 1400 millions of m^3, surface is about 350 millions of km^2. The thermal dilatance of water is around 0.20 10^(-3), one more do the maths for temperature rising globally of a few degrees. This is stupid because of the thermo-halin circulation, but it will give a long-term idea of the effects (time scale : couple of centuries, of course you’ll be dead).

  36. bubba July 7th, 2006 11:45 PM

Thank you Aurain, I agree with your post about seeing the movie if your going to argue against it. I haven’t seen it yet, so I can offer no opinion. I do think we need to get off of foreign oil, either with hybrid, alternative fuels, whatever. If that lowers air pollution, CO2, etc. thats just gravy.

Al Gore and Michael Moore should be tried for treason against capitalist corporations whose only ‘sin’ is not polluting nearly enough. Eviron-MENALISM is holding back our corporate interests in being able to run rough-shod over anything it rightly deserves to trample; from rainforests to small children.

  39. Richard 23 July 8th, 2006 4:23 AM

Thirqal: how many of the world’s trees do scientists propose we place under bells? Ding-ding-ding! None.

But if you get off killing poor defenseless trees, be my guest.

3mm a year? Plenty of time to put your house up on stilts then!

Do you know how many boring, repetative smear campaigns I’ve seen liberals start? Just pay attention, every election, like clockwork, the first liberal-funded smear ads come out weeks before the first conservative-funded ones. Seemed like all Kerry could come up with was that Bush was stupid, and that he himself had won three Purple Hearts.

Look up the term “mongoloidism”. It’s the original term for what’s now known as Down’s Syndrome, coined by a British doctor running an asylum decades ago. 1830′s or 1930′s, would have to dig out the book to remember which. Also, if that was the only picture of Moore available, perhaps I couldn’t easily make such a statement. Besides, he’s the sort of person who screams about the government hoarding food for Americans while there’s starving kids in Ethiopia, while shoveling something fatty, greasy, and friend down his disgusting gullet.

“Excuse me, but I can?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t stop posting logical facts just to have stupid answers like trees needing CO2 to live (try to put a plant under a bell with 5% of CO2 in the air under the same bell to see it wither and die), or the climate just going out of the late ice age and still warming (Milankovic?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s cycles anyone ?)”
Sure, if you put a sickeningly lethal concentration of CO2 in the air…but there isn’t, and humans can’t produce that much in any reasonable period of time (we’re talking centuries from now, if we were still on pure fossil fuels, and hadn’t run out of most of them by then). At the same time, try putting a plant in a pure O2 environment…it’ll die just as fast. CO2′s used in the photosynthetic process, and without it, the plant can’t make its food.

We might have had four complete cycles, but overall, the glaciers didn’t reach back down to halfway across the United States since the last real Ice Age. Hmmm…I wonder why? Could it be that these cycles are miniature cycles within an overall rising trend, much like the markets do? Use your brain, and think for yourself. Also, the so-called “hot period” is better called the “warming period”, which is started from when temperatures hit their lowest…which means we have approximately half a millenium of warming to go. Yes, the math (yes, math, not maths, it’s the same singular or plural) works out against the global warming fanatics.

“Difference from the 70?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s ? oh, just computers, ice boring in antartica, modelisations, and a whole bunch of climatologists instead of just a fistful.”
Hmm…Computers are less wasteful than millions of sheets of paper, no? More convenient at any rate…and those same machines seem to help us find out things like “Freon is bad!” Ice boring in Antartica can tell you about conditions there, but if you note, the air over the poles in the overall airflow is sinking down from the upper atmosphere, where all sorts of reactions scientists admit they don’t really understand go on, so it’s not exactly what one could call a controlled experiment. Further, there hasn’t really been enough work down there for long enough to know how airborne CO2 transfers to ice…and don’t bother arguing this, because any upper layer of ice is going to be irretrievably contaminated in the collection process. Finally, the increase in climatologists just works against them…the ones who get hired are the ones that get airtime, and the ones that get airtime are the ones who spout doom and gloom bullshit. Look at political analysts in the Cold War for a good example…every single time you looked at the publically visible ones, they were spouting off about how Russia was seconds away from launching the first shots of a nuclear war. The cooler heads, though, that weren’t media jockeys, were sometimes worried, but since they actually had leaders’ ears, that never happened. It’s a slim job market, so they have to really compete against each other.

    “A factory doesn?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t produce much CO2.”
Manufacturing plants such as steel mills produce quite a bit.
    “A thermal plant does.”
Depends on the thermal plant. Want to know how much CO2 our 100+ nuclear reactors produce? Right at about jack shit. And yes, those are thermal transfer generators. Nuclear fission is a hot process.
“CO2 production is thus linked to the energy consumption, not to the amount of factories or volume of manufactured goods.”
And energy consumption is directly related to such processes…your argument is self-defeating. Also, once again, it shows a distinct lack of knowlege of basic industrial processes in massive industries (such as steel, charcoal, etc).

“Actually the sea is rising at the speed of 3mm/year. This is not discussed and is accepted by every climatologist, even carboscepticals (measures at stations studying te tides).”
That’s a liberal lie. Just do a Google search, and just look at university web sites…that’s a VERY hotly contested claim. There NEVER a total consensus of any sort of scientist on any subject, beyond maybe the existence of life, the universe, etc. But as for how it works? Never. I’m also curious what a “carbosceptical” is. It sounds like a machine part…and something more related to carbon measurement, if it’s a measuring device, than anything else. Devices that scientists and doctors used are named according to a standard Latin naming convention, so that it’ll translate across languages…and I know none of the terms in that word mean water.

“If you are serious about that (and know how to use a calculator), volume of ocean water is about 1400 millions of m^3, surface is about 350 millions of km^2. The thermal dilatance of water is around 0.20 10^(-3), one more do the maths for temperature rising globally of a few degrees. This is stupid because of the thermo-halin circulation, but it will give a long-term idea of the effects (time scale : couple of centuries, of course you?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ll be dead).”
I’m used to thinking in millenia, no big stretch. Now, I’d like to note you never included a single variable or equation that relates those numbers in a meaningful way to support your claim. So basically, you’re spouting off random numbers in an attempt to sound intelligent, tossing off an insult, and never providing any way that the average reader could check your claims. So, in effect, you’ve basically said…jack shit, really. A couple geographic numbers, a bit of data copied out of the back of a chemistry textbook (and I’m pretty sure that number’s wrong…H2O is generally used as the base substance for many of those numbers, since they’re all relative to each other), and no actual mathematical equation to link them all together. Then you mention something about “thermo-halin” concentration…what on God’s green earth does that mean? Halinoids are halogen compounds (gaseous flourine, chlorine, etc), and aren’t what the major eco-apocalypsists like to really spout off about, since the only one of those that’s a real danger (chlorine) is really down on emissions, since the banning of chloroflurocarbons (CFC’s). The main ones you hear about are organic compouds, such as sulfur dioxide (which actually radiates heat away from the Earth, generally…), carbon dioxide, etc. So what the hell is a “thermo-halin”? Because it wasn’t covered in three semesters of college-level chemistry and two semesters of organic chemistry.

I like you, and not just because you agree with me. The US is the largest producer of corn (the source of ethanol) in the world, why shouldn’t we drive on it? For simple economic reasons, it’s worth doing, and I really do have to agree that if it reduces pollution, all the better.

Hippies, take that to heart…intelligent, informed opinions that are actually based in reality are appreciated and praised. It’s not that we hate you (more like laugh at you), we hate stupidity.

Shorter Aurain: I like to hear myself go clickety clack on my keyboard. Are you writing a novel, kookbat?

I had to jab myself with an icepick to get through the first three pages.

You’re obviously a liberal spoof. Real conservatives are terse and to the point.

  42. Aurain July 8th, 2006 1:01 PM

    Nice rhyming.

I am to the point…I just take the time to address ALL of the points.

And I’m what’s called a moderate conservative. I avoid rhetoric and try to be original and thorough.

  43. Richard 23 July 8th, 2006 4:24 PM

Hey, Aurain! No icepick this time. Thank you. And now I understand — it was the “moderate” part of you that wrote that novel.

Get rid of that “moderate” baggage and you can be a staunch conservative and a good Republican!

And a good republican doesn’t have to be thorough or original, just RIGHT!

Hopefully STR.com will pray with me for Aurain….

  44. thirqual July 8th, 2006 8:01 PM

    delta(H)=Volume*Beta*Deta(T)/Surface.
This one is so obvious I would have thought insulting of writing it out. But since you’re asking so kindly.

“(and I?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥m pretty sure that number?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s wrong?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?Ǭ?H2O is generally used as the base substance for many of those numbers, since they?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥re all relative to each other)” for dilatance factors it is much more handy to compare them with metals dilatance, because water’s changes a lot with temperature. Not on a scale of a few degrees, mind you, but between 300 and 350 K it doubles.

“?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?thermo-halin?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? concentration” it is circulation. Thermo-halin refers to 1) temperature 2) salt concentrations in ocean water, which is mainly sodium and potassium chlorides, hence the name, as the anion is an halogenoid. You began to talk like you were knowing some climatology, this is the base for talking about ocean sea level rising, ocean temperature, influence on oceans on the climate and so on. Excuse me for making assumptions.

18% of american electricity comes from nuclear plants. The rest is mainly gas and coal thermal plant.

The change of temperature from cold cycle to hot cycle is fast, then the temperature is stable. The last real ice age was 20 000 years ago. These are not micro cycles. Here you point out a important confusion due to the outdated conception of 4 big ice ages with time periods of ~75 000 years which were deduced from boulders and loess. In this regard what you say is exactly true, but with ice boring it was proven that the cycles are shorter and that the change of temperature, CO2 and CH4 proportion in the air and water levels happend quite fast on the scale of the cycle.

“and don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t bother arguing this, because any upper layer of ice is going to be irretrievably contaminated in the collection process” I’ll do… because the equations of gaz transportations and migration in ice are inckuded in the errorbars for these measures. It is interesting to note that as ice is packed by the weight of the

About the problem of air origin, it should be noted that the composition of air is the same obver the first 20 km or so due to constant mixing. The fact that there _is_ ice means that there were snow falling, hence water in the air, hence that it is not coming from high atmosphere. Period.

A carbosceptical is someone who is denying that the CO2 proportion is rising in the air. There are not many of them, but they are very useful cause they ask interesting questions and point out other ways of explaining the sea level rise, temperature variation and so on.

  45. thirqual July 8th, 2006 10:55 PM

oops, read “delta(T)”, not “deta(T)”, of course, and beta is the thermal dilatance. The value I gave earlier is ISU, that is to say in K^(-1).

    TriggerHappyJim,

I think it’s you who should be proving to me that it is happening. After all, nothing’s changed around here. Are all liberals as ignorant as you? (by the way, you don’t have to answer this, because I know that the answer is yes… and that Satan has taken you!)

  49. Aurain July 9th, 2006 1:39 PM

It’s going to take me some time to address all of that, and I still have to check the math…and you’ll have to excuse me if I don’t assume your numbers are right. And in someplace like this, it really doesn’t matter if I know the equation or not, most of the people here don’t.

I’m going to assume the ‘moderators’ cut out the portion of paragraph 6…drop a copy in the Free Speech Zone (misnomer, if ever there was one) and we’ll argue it there. There are a few other points I’m going to have to re-research there, so don’t be too surprised if it takes me a couple days to respond.

  50. potto July 9th, 2006 2:54 PM

surely you have to watch the film to know whst you are arguing against? and global warming is a fact. its not been proved that it is caused by pollution but the world temperature is rising you cant deny that. its also a fact that the polar ice caps are melting. its not propaganda. its happening. and surely al gore has a right to express his opinions just as much as you do. saying he should stop doing this because he didnt win an election is ridiculous because its quite obvious that you didnt win any election either so by ypour reasoning you should not be posting this blog. saying that hurricane katrina was gods punishment is ridiculous because god would know that people could be evacuated and saved by the army etc (the fact that your government chose to leave people to die was not gods judgement)

  51. Nathan July 9th, 2006 4:09 PM

Climate change is real thing. And you americans are the biggest reason for it happening (for example, you refuse to ratify the Kyoto Protocol). Unless you Americans blow up the world with your nukes, the climate will get us.

  52. not a patriot July 9th, 2006 7:06 PM

Sammm samm sammmmm………… freedom of speach is a right all americans have under the constitution….. Trigger happy jim does not need to prove anything to you…. You are not God or any other person of authority…. You know the more i think about it you sound like an angry FAG

  53. Richard 23 July 9th, 2006 9:39 PM

Potto: Maybe you should stop smoking so much pot. Do you even own a thermometer? Global temperatures go up during the day, sure, but they go down at night. If you ever looked at a thermometer in between bong hits, you might learn this for yourself.

Aurain: It may take a couple of days to respond? I’m not surprised, you’re a little slow. Go ahead and take a week if you like. If that’s not long enough, give yourself a year.

Try writing your thoughts down on paper. After you’re done, crumple it up and throw it in the garbage. Why? Why not?

not a patriot: You most certainly have the right of free speech. But while you’re muttering liberal talking points in the corner, nobody actually has to listen. And stop hitting on Sam.

Nathan: God changes the climate, not us. Stop with the blame America first nonsense.

Jake: I agree. How does that make you feel?

Spur: Oh, never mind. Idle hands, idle hands….

“They?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ve seen what happens when good Americans are faced with real threats like Saddam?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Weapons Of Mass Destruction and the crazy beard-men of Islam.”
Before that I really thought he was serious. =) Real threats, right… Where are those “real” weapons of mass destruction?

I would just love to see one of you people from STR face to face and start a real conversation. Just to see are you really so arrogant, ignorant and stupid or is this an extremely well planned joke.

Richard 23: Have you ever tried a real conversation? You just attack people personally and make no real arguments at all. That’s just pathetic.

  56. Sam Johnston July 10th, 2006 9:43 AM

Perhaps it would be more sensible and mature to ask where the weapons are not ie in the hands of the crazy muslim killer Saddam Hussein. Why? because of the USA! You should be thanking us Tuomas instead of insulting us. (Oh, and by the way, I don’t want to meet you! Especially if I have to travel to Europe to do it… or are you from that other liberal hangout/ junkyard New York?)

  57. Aurain July 10th, 2006 11:24 AM

Nathan: America is no longer the largest polluter…China outstripped us a couple years ago. Keep up with the times.

R23 (The Bullshit Bot!): Last I checked, I was having an intelligent argument with Thirqual, not you. So unless you happen to actual have some education in the sciences involved (and your attitude towards science is positively Islamic, so I highly doubt it), pike off.

Toumas: We found hundreds of artillery shells loaded with chemical and biological weapons (AKA WMD) in Iraq. Not to mention Saddam used them against his own people…what more evidence do you need?

Potto: For the love of the English language, use punctuation!

Sammy: Again with the personal attacks! Just make points and move on, no need to make this into an elementary school namecalling match!

  58. Richard 23 July 10th, 2006 11:50 AM

Tuomas: Yes I have. And thanks for that. I think we had a pretty good discussion. I know I learned a lot.

Be sure to cast Satan and liberalism out of your heart. And praise the baby Jesus.

  59. TriggerHappyJim July 10th, 2006 6:42 PM

    “TriggerHappyJim,

I think it?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s you who should be proving to me that it is happening.”

  60. nidhogg July 10th, 2006 11:33 PM

You cannot be such moth*rf*ckers saying that Katrina was a kind of judgement, my entire familiy were in vacations in New Orleans and i haven’t found yet.

    You’re the worst.

  61. Tuomas Mattila July 11th, 2006 2:07 AM

Sam Johnston: If those weapons existed, how come there’s no proof of them anywhere? And yes, I live in northern Europe, in Finland to be exact. The fact that you don’t even want to visit Europe tells even more about your selfcentered view of world.

Aurain: Try to spell my name correctly next time, it gives you more credibility. Where’s the proof of those found artillery shells? Can you show me some news/images or something which proves it?

Richard 23: In Finland we don’t have liberals and conservatives like you do in US. We have many political parties and actually a real democracy. We really can vote straight for a candidate to be elected. And I already believe in God, I’m a member of the Finland’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

  62. Aurain July 11th, 2006 4:52 AM

Tuomas: It’s called a typo. Maybe if I screwed up every third word, you could whine with a reason. As for proof, the news is a couple years old, and I’m not going to bother researching where to find it still. And once again, Saddam used the damn things on his own people. What more proof do you need that he had them and was willing to use them? As for the whole thing about voting directly, you have about five and a half million people. We have just shy of 300 million. The electoral college gives us a bit more of a margin for error when counting votes, since guess what? Humans make errors, that’s why it’s called “human error”. Look at things in perspective before you insult our methods.

  63. Sam Johnston July 11th, 2006 4:58 AM

Listen TriggerHappyJim, you’ve asked me to produce an invisble graph (another crazy liberal idea!). I’m sorry. We republicans are cleverer than you liberals, but I still don’t know how to do that. Why don’t you produce some real graphs and we’ll discuss those?

  64. Aurain July 11th, 2006 5:25 AM

Wait, what do you know? One quick Google and I’m Feeling Lucky later, and we have this:
    http://instapundit.com/images/Iraqdoc.pdf
This is a Congressional document regarding the declassification of 500+ artillery shells loaded with chemical weapon agents (sarin nerve gas and mustard gas blistering agent) that were found in Iraq. Page 4 makes it pretty clear what they found so far. And as any chemistry student can tell you, degraded doesn’t mean harmless, just less effective. With sarin, “less effective” means it kills you in a few minutes or hours, instead of a few seconds.

  65. Tristan Shuddery July 11th, 2006 5:33 AM

    @Aurain

Yes, precisely this shows why we had no choice but to go to war with Saddam. This enormous quantity of nerve agents posed a direct threat to the U.S.A. and could not be tolerated (except by Nerve Gas Loving Liberals).

These are the WMDs we fought to make safe, and thanks to our government we have done so. Now Saddam is in prison, and the illegal WMD program that he set up to make these toxins has been dismantled.

The world is now a much safer place. How could this be a bad thing!

By the way in case you have not been watching the news, the Iraqui terrorist insurgency is being crushed and we captured their leader. Iraq is now a democracy (just like the U.S.A.) and it’s people are free.

So quit whining about the war – it has brought nothing but Good. Instead of moaning, why dont you Democrats support our troops and the good work they have been doing.

  66. Aurain July 11th, 2006 5:44 AM

” The next question will be why the White House did not release this information at the time of their discovery. Santorum’s statement says, ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?The information released today proves that weapons of mass destruction are, in fact, in Iraq[.] It is essential for the American people to understand that these weapons are in Iraq. I will continue to advocate for the complete declassification of this report so we can more fully understand the complete WMD picture inside Iraq.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ? That implies that a broader analysis of WMD in Iraq exists — and that it differs significantly from the common understanding shown thus far.

Some will claim that the release is strictly for political purposes. They may have a point, but I doubt it will have anything to do with domestic politics. If Bush wanted to use it for that, he would have done so in October 2004 and not in June 2006. This information changes the picture about our pre-war intelligence in time for the Iranian confrontation — and I suspect that the White House wants to declassify it in order to convince European leaders that our intel actually paid off. . . .

So why keep this quiet? Perhaps CENTCOM [Central Command] did not want to tip the AQ-I [Al-Qaeda - Insurgent] forces to their continued existence. Another explanation may have been that some of this got captured through active intel sources that would have blown continuing operations. Obviously the Intelligence Committee felt that the need for secrecy had passed.”
    -Ed Morrisey, of http://www.captainsquartersblog.com

He says it far more eloquently than I could have.

  67. Aurain July 11th, 2006 6:30 AM

Furthermore, Tuomas, I would assume that you’re in that boat of liberal lunacy that subscribes to President Bush having used the evidence of Iraqi WMD as the only reason to go to war, and that spreading democracy and liberating Iraqis from a cruel, sadistic dictator was only “invented” later. Generally I don’t just drop a link and say take a look, but
    http://instapundit.com/archives/022447.php
is a very good look at the lies behind these claims. Generally, I prefer to go to sources, as opposed to referring to end research, but this person gives all of his sources in every article, so have fun watching your pretty little fantasy world be disassembled at the base.

  68. TriggerHappyJim July 11th, 2006 6:50 AM

Listen TriggerHappyJim, you?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ve asked me to produce an invisble graph (another crazy liberal idea!). I?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥m sorry. We republicans are cleverer than you liberals, but I still don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t know how to do that. Why don?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t you produce some real graphs and we?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ll discuss those?

I’m going to quote myself. Twice.

    And again:

  69. Tristan Shuddery July 11th, 2006 7:00 AM

I think it’s up to the liberals to prove that “Global Warming” exists, a theory believed by only a small minority of Americans.

We conservatives are concerned with only real threats, for which we have provided abundant proof: The danger of terrorism (proved by our president), and the tribulations of the end time (proved by the bible).

I dont see why I should panic every time All Gore or his chicken-little liberal cronies tells us that we are going to be destroyed by the Sun. Anybody of faith knows that God will not let that happen!

Every republican knows that “Global Warming” is another liberal myth designed to cause panic and disrupt our markets. Lets leve the environment to God, and get on with living our lives. That’s what God wants.

  70. TriggerHappyJim July 11th, 2006 7:01 AM

I googled it for you, seeing as you seem to be incapable of doing so yourself.

    Taken from: http://yosemite.epa.gov/oar/globalwarming.nsf/content/climateuncertainties.html

It’s well accepted by scientists that greenhouse gases trap heat in the Earth’s atmosphere and tend to warm the planet. By increasing the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, human activities are strengthening Earth’s natural greenhouse effect. The key greenhouse gases emitted by human activities remain in the atmosphere for periods ranging from decades to centuries.

A warming trend of about 1?Ǭ¨?F has been recorded since the late 19th century. Warming has occurred in both the northern and southern hemispheres, and over the oceans. Confirmation of 20th-century global warming is further substantiated by melting glaciers, decreased snow cover in the northern hemisphere and even warming below ground.

I doubt very much that he is trying to make people panic. Just live more responsibly.

Global warming exists. What is disputable is whether or not this is the fault of humans.

  72. Richard 23 July 11th, 2006 7:25 AM

Trigger Happy Jim, you cannot prove a negative. Try proving that unicorns don’t exist. I can’t wait for that graph!

Aurain: Way to stay on topic! WMDs are the cause for global warming? What a joke.

  73. TriggerHappyJim July 11th, 2006 7:51 AM

  74. Tuomas Mattila July 11th, 2006 9:13 AM

Aurain: You don’t have to make any assumptions of my political views, as we in Finland don’t have liberals/conservatives but many different political parties.

If I’ve understood correctly, in US you vote for “middle men” (don’t know a better word for them, sorry), and 538 of them choose the president. If every vote must still be counted, why wont you just vote straight for the candidate? That would ensure that the candidate who got more real votes would always win. You would be spared of the kinds of scandals that the Bush vs. Gore caused a while back.

Thanks for the links. I really can’t see why the foundings of those 500+ artillery shells hasn’t been on the news, considering how much US was criticized after those WMD’s where nowhere to be found.

  75. Aurain July 11th, 2006 12:23 PM

R23: Way to follow the coversation, maybe? The hippy wanted to try to prove that Bush can’t be trusted because he lied once already (a false statement). It’s called “character assassination”, and I was shutting him down. Now go out and play while the adults talk.

You know what? The world is getting warmer…as part of a natural cycle. And it will continue to do so for another half a millenium. That’s not what the hippies are lieing about…they want us to feel guilty about causing this warming, and ignore quite a long list of facts to the contrary. Primary among these is the natural warming cycle the earth is going through, but secondary are such issues as we weren’t the only nation to industrialize (obviously) and that we are no longer the largest polluter on the planet (that would be China).

Tuomas: You mean in your little frozen-over corner of Hell. If you actually paid attention to what I said, counting 300 million votes and tallying them across a nation as large as our own would be next to impossible, and the percent error would skyrocket, as opposed to each state tallying their own, telling the Electoral College within their state which way to vote, then shipping them to DC. Any given state is going to have a relatively small margin of error, and since their tallies don’t affect anything outside of their state, each of these is independant of each other. It’s the same reason a scientist (in most situations, at least) prefers to run a small experiment many times, then tabulate the results, instead of running one big experiment once. Human error is unavoidable, and must be lessened in any way possible. That all being said, another huge reason was that, at the time it was written, it wasn’t practical to have 10-12 million votes carted around for weeks and having them all counted in one spot. Instead, they were counted and a single delegate was selected per district. As for your political views, if Loon, Larry, and Larky are always together, and I seen Loon and Larry, what’s the betting Larky is around the corner?

As for the WMD issue you raised, you obviously didn’t bother to read all my posts. Ed Morrisey said it far more eloquently than I could have. Use a dictionary if you don’t understand what he said.

Aurain: I just thought that someone here could really make a conversation, but apparently I was wrong. You attack my personality and my view of life, even though you don’t know me at all. You automatically assume I have a political view, which is not true. I have opinions about some things important to me, but I’m not a member or a supporter of any political party/group.

And yes, I live in this frozen-over corner of hell (hell froze over when Lordi won the Eurovision songcontest). Right now we have about 25-30 degrees Celsius in here, (that’s about 77-86 Fahrenheits if you can’t do the math), so it’s really freezing. This is the same country which, for example, built the worlds first commercial GSM-network, invented the cellphones SMS-ability and is the home of Nokia, the worlds largest cellphone manufacturer. The same country of whose ice hockey team beat yours 4-0 in last world championships, even though we have the humble 5 million people against your 300 million. Of which about 67 % have European ancestors, just by the way. The same corner of hell which is one of the most uncorrupted countries in the world, unlike your’s, and of which educational system, which is btw free, has been acknowledged as one of the best in the world.

If you’re country is so supreme and envy of the whole world, how is it you’ve not been able to invent a voting system, of which really works? If every vote is counted many time electronically and many times by hand, the margin of error could be reduced to something so small you could really be sure to elect the president that get’s more votes. The counting could still be done inside states or even smaller areas like we do in Finland. I can vote from any postoffice in Finland in presidential or parlamental elections, so all people don’t have to travel in the same place to vote. This could be done with 60 times more people as well without huge problems that can’t be solved.

Don’t worry about it Tuomas. Aurain is obviously a liberal troll pretending to be a good conservative. Pretty transparent, eh? But like all liberals the mask slips on occasion. Notice how he was unable to spell your name? I rest my case.

  78. TriggerHappyJim July 12th, 2006 10:39 AM

Ah! Richard! So you are still alive! What did you think of that graph I drew up for you? Pretty good, huh?

  79. Tuomas Mattila July 13th, 2006 3:59 AM

Richard 23: Even though I don’t agree with Aurain in every aspect, you do the exact same thing that he does in here. You suspect and accuse him/her of being something without any better knowledge. Your arrogant and ignorant comments are pretty useless trolling and a lousy way of conversating.

“Just think about it. How convenient would it be to have an invisible enemy, that no one can see and that can never be stopped in our lifetime? If that were the case, the liberals would be able to ensure that the country would permanently be afraid and on a war-footing. They?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥d be able to pass all kinds of crazy legislation because of the ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?emergency?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ and anyone that criticized them would be labelled as ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?unpatriotic?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?? and a ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?traitor?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ??.

This is really EXCELLENT irony, very inspired!

Thank you very much Sam for this great article.

You think exactly the same way.

  82. Richard 23 July 13th, 2006 9:13 AM

TriggerHappyJim, I’ll have to hand it to you, you certainly proved that unicorns don’t exist. It left me speechless.

Tuomas, I like you too. You’re silly! But Aurain is obviously a far left liberal trying to confuse people.

BTW, trolls don’t really exist except in faerie tales. Does your mommy read scary stories to you before you go to bed?

  83. potto July 13th, 2006 3:04 PM

richard 23 worte ‘Potto: Maybe you should stop smoking so much pot. Do you even own a thermometer? Global temperatures go up during the day, sure, but they go down at night. If you ever looked at a thermometer in between bong hits, you might learn this for yourself.’ firstly i ont smoke pot (or anything else) and secondly, if you had any education at all you would know that global temperatures do NOT go down at night because strangely enough NIGHT DOESNT HAPPEN AT THE SAME TIME ALL OVER THE WORLD! i know you must be completely shocked by this, but if you went back to primary school im sure someone would be kind enough to explain it to you.

  84. Richard 23 July 14th, 2006 8:49 AM

The sun might be up all night in the Arctic Circle during the summer solstice, but in most parts of the world the sun goes down at night.

Anywhere you go in the world (other than the example cited above), the sun is down at midnight, is it not? [hint: answer starts with a 'y']

It’s dark between 8pm and 4am. Are you unaware of these basic observable facts?

Night does “happen at the same time all over the world” plus or minus an hour. Check your clock.

What time does it get dark where you live? What time does it start to get light? I bet it’s pretty close to the times I predicted here.

Stop eating all those hash brownies and you’ll become aware of these basic facts! And get right with Jesus!

richard 23. you do realise that the global temperature doesnt go down at night dont you? let me explain it. the sun goes down in america, the temperature cools down. BUT, as the sun sets in america, it rises on the other side of the world, so the temperature goes up, in that part of the world. this means that the GLOBAL temperature DOESNT change. you may not have realised that america isnt the whole globe, the clue is, its not globe shaped. please think about your argument before posting it next time.

aurain wrote ‘Saddam used the damn things on his own people. What more proof do you need that he had them and was willing to use them?’
i agree that saddam did have them, but only because george bush senior sold them to him. i also think its quite odd that bush junior waited, until saddam had used the weapons (on his own people) and therefore didnt have them any more, so was incapable of using them, to invade iraq. saddam was a dictator and he did kill hundreds but i think, if you want to go to war you should at leat tell the tuth about your reasons for doing so.

this movie isn’t about religion, political views, or who won the presidency. it is about opening your eyes and seeing what is happening to the earth. if you’ve visited Alaska or a Central American rainforest in the last five years you would see. why would you choose to judge an important film without seeing it?

  88. Schultzy July 24th, 2006 2:02 AM

Stop embarassing yourself with this ignorant forum. How can you do an analysis of the film if you have never seen it??? You state that it’s a boring film like you have seen it before. That is the most ignorant and stupid statement I’ve heard in a long time. I’m definitely posting this so I can make fun of your dumb ass…

    Schultzy

Your “friends” can never back up their comments with facts, the scientific global warming data is completely corroborated worldwide, stop twisting American ideals into militaristic Republican aggression, plus you would be thrown out by Jesus as one of the moneychangers and warmongers…YOU ARE HYPOCRISY according to the New Testament…Shut up, please!!! Read the Book it again if you don’t get this….

  89. Schultzy July 24th, 2006 2:16 AM

George Bush…Stealing elections since 2000!! Thanks Jeb!

    The last word:

“I know the text, and I know they are using old stuff that has been totally discredited,” Inhofe said. “Everything on which they based their story, in terms of the facts, has been refuted scientifically.”

Got that, libbies? “Everything…has been refuted scientifically.” So much for that.

    He goes further:

“It kind of reminds . . . I could use the Third Reich, the big lie,” Inhofe said.

“You say something over and over and over and over again, and people will believe it, and that’s their strategy.”

US Senator James Inhofe (R-OK and chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee) calls global warming “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people” and has wisely declined to see this “film.” Why bother?

  91. Schultzy July 28th, 2006 8:48 AM

I’m posting this and making fun of you too Little Richard…

  92. stupid americans September 17th, 2006 10:45 AM

Wow you Americans are stupid! And as for you so-called christians… *sigh*

Stop destroying the planet, stupid americans. It belongs to the rest of us too! And stop judging people’s intelligence/integrity/political correctness by whether they’re “fat”. Know this, stupid americans, to the rest of the world you are ALL fat. And too stupid to go and see this film. And not quite stupid enough to vote in George Bush, but too stupid to protest when the results of your own vote were corrupted.

  93. Sam Johnston September 17th, 2006 12:00 PM

    @ stupid americans

NO! It’s you non-Americans who are stupid, and hateful in the eyes of Jesus for not being born in the chosen land!

We aren’t destroying the planet, god decides when it gets destroyed. How could we possibly do something against his will? And anyway, God gave it to us to do with what we like, as republican intellectual Anne Coulter has said.

I’m not fat. michael moore is. Shut up!

what are you talking about corrupted votes. George Bush won fair and square and if God wasn’t pleased to have him in the white house he’s have let us know by now.

  94. JBoy September 21st, 2006 7:29 PM

Are you for real? If so I think you are going to Hell, if you really knew God and Jesus you would never talk the way you do?

  95. Anonymous September 23rd, 2006 11:39 PM

Haha great piece of satirical article! I was pratically laughing my guts out when I read this paragraph:

“What?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s more, the details of Gore?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s wacky theories aren?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t as important as the motive behind them. Just think about it. How convenient would it be to have an invisible enemy, that no one can see and that can never be stopped in our lifetime? If that were the case, the liberals would be able to ensure that the country would permanently be afraid and on a war-footing. They?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥d be able to pass all kinds of crazy legislation because of the ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?emergency?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥ and anyone that criticized them would be labelled as ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?unpatriotic?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?? and a ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?traitor?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ??.”

What a great subtle one to replace “Terrorism” by Dubya with “Global Warming” by Al Gore.

    Great one you have here.

    Keep it up!

  96. frenchie October 15th, 2006 9:20 PM

Al Gore, in “An Inconvenient Truth” is always playing with his computer, An Apple notebook, running MacOSX, a close cousin of Linux.
You are right, his “global warming” is a tale, a forgery, invented by Linux & Apple neo-communists…
    CO2 and temperatures increase : it’s a natural phenomenon.
And if temperatures become too hot, nuclear explosions can freeze the climate for a while !
Oil production will decline soon, but happily, we have more than five centuries of coal reserves.
Our only threats : terrotists, communists and liberals (the worse).

  97. George December 30th, 2006 1:34 AM

Glad to see that good republican Christians are still in denial. After all, it is what you want, isn’t it? A soon second coming? Global warming is a piece of the Revelation pie. The increase in temperature will promote insect population, and the further kill oxygen creating trees. Warmer temperatures will promote the occurrence of viruses and disease. Thus we have Revelations 16. I also love how Republicans successfully made “liberal” a bad word. Look that word up in the dictionary: of or pertaining to representational forms of government rather than aristocracies and monarchies; free from prejudice or bigotry; open-minded or tolerant.

Sam Johnston, you are very close minded. The Pharisees were close minded too, and they ended up killing the same person you cherish. Shame on you.

  98. Sam Johnston December 30th, 2006 6:10 AM

Shame on you George. Don’t try and mix Jesus and leftwing politics. Disgusting. Using His name to score cheap points.
“liberal” is a bad word. Just like your bum chum Al Gore and that fat loser Michael Moore. Get a grip! The End Times are coming whether you like it or not. And hugging a few trees ain’t going to help you if the Lord liketh you not.
