the act of burning a flag is saying (very strongly) that you do not agree with what America is doing. We should have the right to say this because if we take away the right to say this by burning a flag, than we open the door to take away rights to have any say in what our democratic country does.

I do not think that the liberals think that burning a flag is a good thing, only that if we let that part of our right of speech be taken from us, it will not be long before all of our speech is taken.

A democratic country without free speech does not exist. In securing the right to for a few crazies to burn a flag, we are securing a free, and strong future America.

don’t throw away your rights just because you don’t like how someone else is using theirs. the right of free speech is a very important right to protect. Even if you don’t like what is being said.

please consider that if you give up your right to protest by burning a flag, you are also giving up your right to write this blog complaining about the crazy liberals.

freedom is a hard thing to have, but please use it responsibly, and keep it safe

tristan have you forgotten that this country belonged to the native americans way before the white man set foot on it? we just came in and took their land from them. native americans have gotten a raw deal and have been mistreated taken off their land and put them on reservations to this very day those poor people are still on reservations they were so betrayed by americans everytime native americans signed treaties native americans be friended them and then america turned on them by killing their women and children. and i for one think america needs to apologize to the native americans for the mistreatment. and yes i do sympathize with the native americans so yeah america needs to apologize to the native americans.

This is the most ludicrous publication I have ever read, aside from statements officially released from the U.S. government! First, can you learn how to spell- it is always, not allways! Additionally, perhaps you should have looked up the definition of liberalism before writing this article, because it is very obvious that you have absolutely no idea what liberalists stand for. Liberalists are not trying to destroy the image of freedom through the act of burning the American flag-liberalists stand for freedom! By destroying the flag, we are attempting to obliterate the lies and fabrications that the American government has described to be freedoms. Liberalists know that freedom is not a virtue, or idea to be abolished. Rather, we hope to reform the initial ideas and principles America was founded on, and get rid of the growing number of reformations that are destroying our Constitutional Rights. (The Patriot Act??) I hope at this point, you are at least perceptive enough to understand my frustration and disgust held against this article and your lack of research. I aim that in the future you will research all sides of a topic before posting an irrational, ignorant article like this one.

Good afternoon Richard 23, I certainly do think it’s okay to drink goat’s blood, for any reason. But you can’t MAKE me do it. That is YOUR choice. As for the “right” to take apart bridges with a blowtorch (??), what a foolish statement. There is no right to destroy public property or (another person’s) private property. Flag burning is not terrorism, it is an expression of one’s inability to hold a coherent thought, it is an expression of one’s own self-loathing. No one has a “right to destroy America”, that act is called Treason, and it is specifically against the law in the Constitution.

Try to avoid making such insipid comparisons.
