Flag Burning is a form of Terrorism
Friends,
I’m sure you were as disgusted as I when once again a minority of liberal senators unleashed a barrage of hate and dirty tricks against the noble conservatives who tried to defend our great Flag. Last week a proposed amendment to the constitution to outlaw the beastly practice of flag-desecration was defeated, against the overwhelming desires of the American people.
Liberal hate-mongers spread lies about America. They are well aware of the implications of flag burning – it’s allways a deliberate act of provocation. We have always known that liberals hate our country and now we know that they want to destroy the very image of our Freedom: Our Flag.
Why is it that liberals and terrorists just love to set fire to the emblem of Freedom and God’s strength? It seems to me that one way to identify America’s enemies is to look out for those who would want to destroy our flag. They are almost certainly the same people who oppose us in the war on terror.
Liberals and terrorists want to encourage flag-burning for exactly the same reasons: They both hate America, but lack the moral courage to challenge us directly. It occurs to me that banning the desecration of our flag would be a major blow to our enemy; We could merely round up anybody who has desecrated a flag in the past ten years and we would almost certainly have apprehended America’s most dangerous minority.
Flag-burning is an act of terrorism. Setting fire to our flag is an act of war and provocation against America. Why do liberal senators want this to happen? Once again, the Democrats have failed to defend America.
When a flag is desecrated then America is desecrated. The flag is no mere symbol, no mere piece of cloth ? it is the very essence and soul of America. When a flag is destroyed we Americans feel that pain. When a flag is burnt, we are spiritually wounded just as if we were physically attacked. Why then should we allow liberals and terrorists to attack us? We Republicans should stand our ground.
But burning is not the only form of desecration that our precious flag must endure. Our flag is being subverted by perverts: People who stand for the very opposite principles of our founding fathers. For example, see how Guy James, an ultra-left wing liberal wing-nut has used a distorted version of the flag on his web site. How could a liberal represent the values of our flag?
Please write to your senator and remind them of the danger our nation faces from the menace of flag-burning. Please also suggest the following policies:
- Desecration of the flag should be a criminal ofence, punishable by a prison sentence, or possibly a fine. People who have been found guilty of flag desecration should no longer be permitted to own an American flag.
- Improper use of a flag should be considered an act of desecration. For example, left-wing extremists like the ACLU should be prevented from using our flag for their anti-American activities.
- All flags should be issued with a unique serial number and issued to a registered owner. People who have been suspected of flag desecration can prove themselves innocent merely by producing their flags on demand by the relevant law enforcement branch.
We conservatives know that our Flag is sacred and would never wish it to be used in vain. We must never give up defending our flag, because to desert our flag is to desert America and God.
Yours in Christ,

i find it quite funny that someone would actually publicize their belief in such nazi type thought patterns.the nazis were full of such “chosen people” propaganda. flag desicration happens every day with the activities of those who think themselves better than others including our bullies in control in dc.
One word: Nazis
I don’t get this! These accusations are ridiculous. Nazis didn’t love the American flag. They hated it. That’s why we had to kick their ass in WW2.
man if i were a terrorist i would save all the money i spend on weapons and training an support people like shelley and trsitian for the next presidency campaign.
if they set in office america would be wiped out in 5ive years max
oh i give up..
Sam you clearly dont have the intelligence to understand the previous comments.
Interested to see how tristan palns to implement the sign registration scheme considering the vast majority of ameican flags are made in china!
I’ve got an american flag and it was great fun burning it. the american made ones burn easier lol
The nazis did however control use of the flag.
Its a symbol and if people are burning it surely they must be expressing their opinion that something is wrong about the US and we need to find the cause.
Damn, I wouldn’t like to be the poor guy who has to scrape that molten synthetic flag op the pavement, I feel for him.
Oh no, foul language, hypocrites.
OMG, You, The one who wrote that, and the 3rd comment’s author are retards.
Total bullshit! To this day, I have yet to see one person burn or desecrate an American flag, although, if I did see that I would not feel pain–I would feel thankful that this country is still a Democracy with freedom of expression, regardless of how hard you little neo-nazis are trying to make it a theocratic dictatorship.
“It occurs to me that banning the desecration of our flag would be a major blow to our enemy; We could merely round up anybody who has desecrated a flag in the past ten years and we would almost certainly have apprehended America?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s most dangerous minority.”
You can’t arrest people for things done before the law prohibiting those things was passed. Look it up.
Also, the definition of terrorism is “spreading terror or fear,” not “causing anger or rage.” Flag burning does the latter, not the former, so it is not a form of terrorism.
Save a flag, burn a liberalll!!!1!
What a pity! So great America has just that symbol of their country, that flag. Even for their anthem they found nothing more … than a song about that flag. Maybe Shelley, you have to go further. Fight for your flag! Put it under guard! Build flag-shelters and hospitals for flags. I will hope all the best in that new fight against terror, because, no flag … no anthem … no …
I’ve had the best time reading your website today. You’re so arrogant, ignorant and maybe just plain stupid. You believe to live in a free country, which is bullshit. You have illegal prisoners in Guantanamo, your supreme court has judged the whole prison illegal and your president can’t even spell that prison’s name correctly. You don’t even have real democracy in US, the people don’t get to choose their own president. You believe to be the envy of the whole world, but I just pity you. Prosessed cheese and tv-dinners, guns and gangs, over 50% of the people overweight, huge military budget but no real social security system or free healthcare, extremely expensive overrated universities from which even people like G.W.Bush can graduate and a common thought that you laws, like the DMCA, really apply in the whole internet and other countries as well. I like to live in Finland and right now it’s not even freezing cold in here. =)
Do yiu have any idea how many cases of flagburing there was last year alone? FOUR!!! THATS RIGHT FOUR! and the morons in government are wasting time on this when there real issues to deal with in this country like illegal immigration, But know they are wasting time on this. Like my father who serevd in WWII said he did not fight the Japs for the flag he fought the Japs for freedom.

lol … :-)
Sam, YOU DIDN’T KICK GERMANY. THE RUSSIANS DID ! You merely finished the job. Who took Berlin ? Who won at Kursk ? Who won at Stalingrad ?
Anyways, stop acting like children whenever your flag gets burned. Boo hoo. You better get used to it. It’s gonna start happening much more often. And stop being hypocritical too, buying canadian flags when you travel the world. Oh, wait, you don’t travel the world, you’re too ignorant to actually see that there’s more than the pathetic US of A.
Go home.
Shorter Tuomas Mattila: I hate America and loathe capitalism.
Shorter Pkarm: There’s a magical number of flags that can be burned before I wake up. But it’s a secret.
WWII is over, dummy. WWIII is still going on.
Deranged moonbats in full BDS mode burned flags in Chicago today at a fundraiser attended by President Bush. Flags were burned in Santa Cruz on Independence Day at the “2nd Annual Old Time American Flag Burn.”
How many flags is enough?
Burning a flag is good for the economy: they have to buy another one afterwards so they can burn that again.
But the people who are against flagburning are actually kinda stupid: they should have pointed at the pollution burning of synthetic materials causes. Plus it’s a contributing factor to global warming.
Don’t you know that global warming is a myth?
Also, conservatives don’t care about preserving the enviornment, so they instead try to bolster their cause by making a comparison between a governmentally supported act and terrorism.
Are you trying to tell me that rightwingers are coherent?
Richard 23: No, I don’t hate America or capitalism. I just hate stupid, arrogant and ignorant people, who elevate themselfs above others. I have a couple of friends from US, which proves that they can’t all be idiots.
“The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions, that I wish it to be always kept alive. It will often be exercised when wrong but better so than not to be exercised at all. I like a little rebellion now and then. It is like a storm in the atmosphere.” – Thomas Jefferson
Anonymous, isn’t that post off-topic? We’re talking about protecting Old Glory from acts of terrorism, not ancient history!
In your off-topic quote Tom was obviously talking about the tyranny of the British monarchy. We beat England in the Revolutionary War.
Now we have a perfect American democracy with history’s greatest President in George W. Bush and a Republican Congress.
So what is the relevance of that quote today?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?
?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?É¬Æ Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann G??ring, during the Nuremberg Trials
While you consider flag burning “acts of terrorism”, I see it as “a little rebellion now and then”.
And you need to brush up on your history, ancient or otherwise. The quote wasn’t about the British, it was referring to the Shays’ Rebellion, which occurred AFTER the United States Constitution was adopted, and during George Washington’s presidency.
Sorry, looks like I need to brush up on my history. It was the Whiskey Rebellion, not the Shay’s Rebellion.
I am personally against the act of burning an American flag. However, I will defend another’s right to do so. At the same time, I reserve my right to stomp that person into the ground and kick them out of our glorious country. Say “Amen”.
Amen, Stephen.
I bet Stephen would support the right to drink goat’s blood in honor of Ba’al. Why does the far left defend Satanism so vigorously?
Stephen, do you support the “right” of terrorists to take apart bridges with blowtorches? Will you defend terrorists “rights” to destroy America?
Why do liberals support terrorists’ “rights” and hate America and her flag so much? Why wait until after flag burning terrorists have done their deed before resorting to violence? Stop terrorism before it happens!
Perhaps you haven’t heard, in our country we have a little thing called “freedom of religion.” If you want to drink goat’s blood as a religious practice, I will support your right to do that (provided you didn’t steal the goat). I find it disgusting and reprehensible, and I will try to talk you out of it, but I will support your right to do it. That is what “freedom” means, after all. Freedom does not mean “I must conform to your ideals.” And as this website says (at the bottom of each page) “Freedom isn’t free.” You have to fight for freedom. It isn’t easy, it isn’t always pretty, but you have to support freedom (i.e., the rights) for the sides you agree with AND the sides you don’t, or it isn’t freedom. That doesn’t mean that you approve of what the other side is saying or doing, but it does means you support their right to say or do it. Speaking out against the actions of others is a right and a freedom. Trying to stop others from speaking out just because you don’t happen to agree with them is not freedom, it is oppression. This country was not built on oppression, nor was Christianity.
Sometimes, speaking out doesn’t mean using words. Sometimes, speaking out means doing other things, like burning flags.
BTW, it is not a right (nor has it ever been) to destroy public property, nor is it a right to destroy private property that belongs to someone else. What you do with your own private property (as long as you don’t hurt anyone else) is your own business, however. By the same token, what I do with my property (as long as I don’t hurt anyone else) is my own business, and you can’t stop me. You are welcome to try to talk me out of it, but you can’t stop me.
But if you really want to stop people from burning the flag, then how about this. How people agree to never burn the flag if you agree to a nationwide ban to never wave or show the flag in any way, shape, or form ever again? I don’t think you would agree to that. I bet you find that reprehensible. I bet you think that interferes with your rights to wave the flag. And you know something? You are right. It does interfere with your rights to show the flag. But freedom works both ways. And if you support your “freedom” to show the flag proudly, you should support other American’s freedom to burn their flag.
One of my favorite movies had these lines: “America isn’t easy. America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, ’cause it’s gonna put up a fight. It’s gonna say “You want free speech? Let’s see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who’s standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country can’t just be a flag; the symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then, you can stand up and sing about the “land of the free”.”
“Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation we began by declaring that “all men are created equal.” When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read “all men are created equal, except Negroes and foreigners and Catholics.” When it comes to this, I shall prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretense of loving liberty — to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy hypocrisy.” – Abraham Lincoln
“The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people.”
“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans…”
“When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans, it was assumed that the Americans who had that freedom would use it responsibly…. [However, now] there’s a lot of irresponsibility. And so a lot of people say there’s too much freedom. When personal freedom’s being abused, you have to move to limit it.”
“I don’t believe in a government that protects us from ourselves.”
“Freedom is the right to question and change the established way of doing things. It is the continuous revolution of the marketplace. It is the understanding that allows to recognize shortcomings and seek solutions.”
“Freedom is the recognition that no single person, no single authority or government has a monopoly on the truth, but that every individual life is infinitely precious, that every one of us put in this world has been put there for a reason and has something to offer.”
I’m surprised Richard 23 hasn’t commented on the last two sets of quotes (posts 34 and 35). I figured he would whole-heartedly agree with one set and argue against the other set.
I’ll give you a hint… one set was said by a Democrat, the other by a Republican.
Good afternoon Richard 23, I certainly do think it’s okay to drink goat’s blood, for any reason. But you can’t MAKE me do it. That is YOUR choice. As for the “right” to take apart bridges with a blowtorch (??), what a foolish statement. There is no right to destroy public property or (another person’s) private property. Flag burning is not terrorism, it is an expression of one’s inability to hold a coherent thought, it is an expression of one’s own self-loathing. No one has a “right to destroy America”, that act is called Treason, and it is specifically against the law in the Constitution.
Try to avoid making such insipid comparisons.
Can someone here, preferable one of thos bible freeper freaks PLEASE give me a definition of their “freedom”? Or maybe your too stupid to have an idea of what that word means. Because the only thing I see here is freedomhating warmongering with a dash of white supremacy with nothing but loathing of anything that does not add to “Landover Baptist Church” which has more in common with Hitler Jugend than anything else? Anyone up for it? I’ll give you my personal e-mail so you freper freaks who hate anything different from yourself, and seem to have no balls whatsoever since your hiding in the skirts of BUSSSH and his scoundrel cronies. Can anyone here give me their defintion of “FREEDOM”? Or can’t you i dare you Shelley. I dare you Tristan. You Tristan., I bet has never been in the army. You have never seen war except for on your favorite propaganda feed Fox news. I got news for you bloody draft dodgers.I have seen shit. I have smelled corpses after your imperial shit-for-brains president has fried them in Napalm. It’s not a pretty sight. It’s not smelling of roses.
Anytime one of you freeper zealots are up for a fight against me (the liberal “freedom hater”), look up in the history books, and see the parallels to Stalin. Your it. I didn’t put my life on the line so you freepers can bash my personal freedoms. so Tristan, are you up forit? A man to man combat? Or maybe you’d like to enlist first so, you can get some pointers on how to kill innocent babies…the american way, so you can feel real powerful and tough. Like a freeper freak. Then we can meet and discuss, if not, you won’t be anything more that a spindoctor of a chicken hawk with small balls, and no courage…
You can e-mail me anytime, and give my detaisl to NSA as well, since neither you or them are particularly fond of TRUE dissidents like myself.
Hope you havfe your money were your mouth is.

Flag desecration is a political statement protected under the first amendment. As a Native American, this flag reminds me of the assimilation of our people. Red, White and Blue; Glory, Freedom and
Truth… We had all that before those colors came through.
My bad, you shared the creative work ..!

This is the most ludicrous publication I have ever read, aside from statements officially released from the U.S. government! First, can you learn how to spell- it is always, not allways! Additionally, perhaps you should have looked up the definition of liberalism before writing this article, because it is very obvious that you have absolutely no idea what liberalists stand for. Liberalists are not trying to destroy the image of freedom through the act of burning the American flag-liberalists stand for freedom! By destroying the flag, we are attempting to obliterate the lies and fabrications that the American government has described to be freedoms. Liberalists know that freedom is not a virtue, or idea to be abolished. Rather, we hope to reform the initial ideas and principles America was founded on, and get rid of the growing number of reformations that are destroying our Constitutional Rights. (The Patriot Act??) I hope at this point, you are at least perceptive enough to understand my frustration and disgust held against this article and your lack of research. I aim that in the future you will research all sides of a topic before posting an irrational, ignorant article like this one.
tristan have you forgotten that this country belonged to the native americans way before the white man set foot on it? we just came in and took their land from them. native americans have gotten a raw deal and have been mistreated taken off their land and put them on reservations to this very day those poor people are still on reservations they were so betrayed by americans everytime native americans signed treaties native americans be friended them and then america turned on them by killing their women and children. and i for one think america needs to apologize to the native americans for the mistreatment. and yes i do sympathize with the native americans so yeah america needs to apologize to the native americans.
the act of burning a flag is saying (very strongly) that you do not agree with what America is doing. We should have the right to say this because if we take away the right to say this by burning a flag, than we open the door to take away rights to have any say in what our democratic country does.
I do not think that the liberals think that burning a flag is a good thing, only that if we let that part of our right of speech be taken from us, it will not be long before all of our speech is taken.
A democratic country without free speech does not exist. In securing the right to for a few crazies to burn a flag, we are securing a free, and strong future America.
don’t throw away your rights just because you don’t like how someone else is using theirs. the right of free speech is a very important right to protect. Even if you don’t like what is being said.
please consider that if you give up your right to protest by burning a flag, you are also giving up your right to write this blog complaining about the crazy liberals.
freedom is a hard thing to have, but please use it responsibly, and keep it safe
