This is great news! But I question the wisdom of giving them toys and candy until after they have read the Bible.

Maybe they could answer a questionnaire and sign a pledge card to prove that they have absorbed the Word. Then they get a toy, candy or some clean water.

And why only the New Testament? At least it includes Revelations, I suppose.

Why didn’t he use against the US troops? Probably because he didn’t have a chance to. The Iraqi army was surrendering in divisions. He lost so fast that he didn’t have a chance to deploy the weapon. Even if he did, it would only provide clear justification and evidence for the U.S. Whatever Sadam throw at the U.S. military, it would make no difference in the end. So it would be better for him to conceal the evidence instead of publicly display it!
