Thought of the day : Europeans and their war against American beer

Just a few minutes ago I received a link to a German website from my dear friend Sgt. Derek Mayo who is stationed with the US Army in a barrack somewhere near Frankfurt (for security reasons name and location has been changed: You never know what could happen my good friend in such a hostile place if the Germans find out that he sent me this link).

It’s missing the taste of beer!

This article denigrates our beloved Budweiser as missing the taste of beer!!! Have you ever drunken European beer? I have and I must say Budweiser does not miss any taste of beer at all!

European beer tastes really strong and contains a lot more alcohol than American beer. For example: Bud contains an average 4.5 % – Czech?s Budvar (which calls himself Budweiser to trick Europeans as well as Americans into thinking that they sell the flavorsome original American Budweiser) contains as much as 11.5%. Bitburger, a German beer even contains over 15%; Dogfish Head beer contains up to 31% of alcohol.

Liberal Europeans indulging their passion for binge drinking. These Germans will probably end like ‘Santa Claus’ below.

Of course Europeans like their beers like Budvar (or Czechvar as it is marketed in the US) more than our beer. Because this helps them to get drunk faster (binge drinking is a common hobby in countries like the UK, Germany or Eastern Europe).

800px-Map_of_world_by_beer_consumption.png

This card shows the average beer consumption. Our European and Australian friends really seem to love their beer. Did you know that the people in the Czech Republic have the highest per-capita consumption in the world?

Courtesy of www.en.wikipedia.org

The author of this article also claims having interviewed American tourists in Gelsenkirchen, Germany who say that Budvar tastes ?better than Budweiser, cleaner less carbonation? just tastier?. These Americans must be damn Liberals and I strongly advise to not let them back in the US. I will personally call Homeland Security and advise them to check every passenger list within the next couple of months for all mayor airports and if they see Bill Thomas of Dallas, Texas as well as West Interian and Rex Corbett on any list they should take away their citizenship and send them back to Germany!

Barbara Rushton

PS: During for search in the Internet to get the facts straight I stumbled I found sth. really disgusting. Did you know that British parents actually force-feed their children with beer (if the children won’t drink it by themselves) because European breweries tell them that beer is good for their children’s health and development?

OMG are you a retard ?
LOL budweiser is german fucking nub go playing cstrike and play with your penis

  2. Barbara June 15th, 2006 1:44 AM

Dear Peter, please show me exactly where I can find?Ǭ¨?¢‚Ǩ¬†this Budvar, Germany on a map. Or please bring me any other proof that Budweiser is a German beer. You know, just because the beer might have been brewed in Germany doesn\’t mean that it is of German origin.

Or do you think that Volkswagen is a Mexican company because many of their cars are build in Mexico? Or that Mercedes is a Chinese company because they have some of their cars built in China?

Also I would kindly remember you that I won\’t be able to play with my p**** because anatomically I do not own such body part. Even if I had one I wouldn\’t play with it because I certainly am against masturbation. People like you always show reminds me of the entailing consequences.

  3. Evil_Tux June 15th, 2006 2:03 AM

    I agree with you Barbara.
You are a great American. I wish I would be an American!

  4. Fred June 15th, 2006 2:07 AM

I would like to talk about the famous US “SpringBreak” which is, in the world, nearest from decay than anything else but this may be censored or said like “only young sinner are doing such fiestas”…
That is very nice to say this, you should think about it when you write an article like this one.
European babies ARE NOT drinking beers but … they are european. Stop generalize such false ideas and travel a bit more.
Cultures are differents but health care is the same. err… no, better: we don’t have to be rich to be saved by hospitals.
A friend of mine came back from a year trip in australia where he worked as an IT consultant and told me that he never saw so much people drinking beer from noon to morning, girls & boys. I bet USA is the same !
I’m sure you have forgotten your youth (who said brain?) a few years ago. Yeah, you know, when you elected bu(l)sh(it) as *president*. Hm, that’s bad, i should not mock at retarded people…
If priest were masturbating a bit more they may have forgot children abuse, no ? Repression is the key to revolution and american people are oppressed by you, integristics who think they have all answers to all questions in a single little old book created at a time where people were crucified and burned in the name of gods.
It confirms my opinion, same as a lot of readers: you’re definetely a danger for Human Beings.

  5. Sam Johnston June 15th, 2006 3:51 AM

    Dear Barbara,

Your article is shocking, but sadly not surprising… These Europeans like to claim they’ve invented everything to make themselves feel better for being so useless in every way. Generally I ignore their absurd claims about democracy (yeah right!), automobiles (hello?! Henry Ford!) and all that other stuff, when just about the only things they really did invent are disgusting pornography, unholy man-love, bad French breath smells and of course, Hitler and his euro-nazis.
Still this whole beer thing takes it to a whole new level. Next they’ll be claiming they invented Tennessee Whiskey (hint to European readers: the clue’s in the name). And their beer orgies just sound disgusting. I was horrified at the things you revealed. Thank God I’ve never tried their devil brew.

  7. th3ch3 June 15th, 2006 4:13 AM

The Budweiser I drank yesterday had about 4,5% excatly as the Bitburger. Where do you got such percentages from? Your mind?
And everybody in the world (except some Americans) say that European beer is the best in the world. Sure there are some good beers around the world (like Australian Foster?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•s), but in Europe are so many (small) breweries that you have so much choices and will allways find a great beer you will like.
I bet you have an international beershop somewhere in your near. Go there and buy a “Budwar”, a “Neuzeller Klosterbr??Ǭßu” or a “Erdinger”. If you don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t want to spend your money on it, than send me your bank information, I will send you the money!

Please tell me the name of the brewery, which said that beer is good for children. I swear i will sew them, if they really did so!

  8. Barbara June 15th, 2006 4:24 AM

Fred June, you’re right. These people celebrating Spring Break are just a bunch of amoral Liberals. Together with some friends of my Church Group I am fighting for liberal slut teens celebrating Spring Break in Mexico not to be let back in the US again. More than 3000 people in Iowa City signed the petition already which we will mail to George W. Bush himself.

Also I would like to point you awareness to my article about the not so ‘Great’ Britain. I mentioned there that I am a vivid traveller who visited many many countries yet. And there also will be more to come. So don’t tell me I should have to travel more in order to get my facts straight!

I won’t comment on your other rants as they show no sign of decency and knowledge of the matter.

  9. NoDeca June 15th, 2006 5:10 AM

in my opinion alcohol is a root of evil the way it is consumed in the west. i’ve learned in one of my courses that jewish people have a much better education when dealing with alcohol use/abuse.
in the west drinking is tolerated, socialy accepted,,, it would be nice if that changes

Soon, you will use AlQuapedia, the encyclopaedia of free men fighting the american imperialism.

Barbara, you will be damned for all the lies you are spreading!

    Remember the Ten Commandments???

  12. xikk June 15th, 2006 5:25 AM

Dogfish Head beer has a max 20% of alcohol, and guess what they are americans, located in Milton, Delaware
    United States.

    Pls check you facts again.

  13. Croc O'Doyle June 15th, 2006 5:27 AM

Hello – I am Oirish. I only drink Guinness, which, as everybody knows, is good for you and makes you strong like an ox. If all soldiers in Iraq drank Guinness, they would have kicked insurgent arse a long time ago! Cheers!

  14. Priapismus June 15th, 2006 6:53 AM

Now, I know about the eal percentae of alcohol in my favourite beer i ‘m even more confessed than I’m invincible. Howelse can somehone drink 12 0,5 l of Bitburger, which according to Barbara contains over 15 % of alcohol? :)
And it’s fully irresponsible that most beers in germany claim to contain 4,8- 5,0 percent…

  15. Nulllogik June 15th, 2006 6:57 AM

I don’t like budweiser. Its bland, and has a horrible aftertaste. Lets get that straight first thing.

Corona: Ive had a true Mexican corona (my neighbors had some shipped to their place) and it was completely different (better).

And for myself i like Yuengling, Which is brewed in america.

And to say what beer is better is completely subjective to the person though. So saying that one is better than the other can only be your opinion, nothing more.

    As for the alcohol percentage:
Who cares? some people might like more alcohol per unit volume than others. Another case of personal opinion.

    When did beer originate?

The 5th millennium BC (prior even to writing)(wikipedia: Beer)
So to say that europeans invented beer is absurd, and to claim that we did is even more so. So the “better beer” comes down to preference.

Every post after this one should have the Poster’s Favorite beer listed…

  16. British Liberal Atheist Potsmoker June 15th, 2006 7:05 AM

This article is not an attack on America. It mentions that American beer tastes worse than Czech beer, and that several Americans also now think so.

Oh, and it says “FREEDOM ISN’T FREE” at the bottom of this page. Ummm:

    free?Ǭ¨?dom
    n.

    1. The condition of being free of restraints.

There is no deep meaning in your attempt at being profound. Freedom is freedom. If it is not free then it is no longer freedom.

Seriously, you guys are entitled to an opinion but shut the fuck up.

  17. Wayne Smith June 15th, 2006 7:08 AM

I was forcefed beer as a child by my father who was a miner. It did me no harm.

I make sure all 13 of my children drink at least 4 cans of beer a day for thier health and well being. Even my whippit likes beer and so does my wife.

You Americans (bless you) have some odd ideas about health.

  18. Pkarm June 15th, 2006 7:21 AM

This is the funniest one yet! The ENglish force feed their children beer? WHere do you find this stuff? But then should I really be surprised from someone who thinks Budweiser is a real beer!

  19. Alex June 15th, 2006 7:40 AM

    Hope they drown in beer.

  20. Michael June 15th, 2006 7:54 AM

    Dear th3ch3,

Do you really like Fosters? I don’t believe it is actually available within Australia, and every beer drinking Australian I know treats it with great contempt. (a bit like all the free thinking, God-fearing peoples of the world view soccer and other European “inventions” I suppose)

I of course do not partake of the demon drink myself, nor do any of the people I consider my “mates” (to use the Austrlian vernacular). As the Good Book says, in Titus 2:3-5:

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much drink. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

  21. Michael Johnson June 15th, 2006 8:10 AM

    Dear th3ch3,

Do you really like Fosters? Here in Australia, it is actually very hard to find, and most beer drinkers (of which sadly, there are indeed a great many) treat it with a great deal of contempt (kind of like all the free thinking, God-fearing peoples of the world view soccer I suppose).

Personally, I do not partake of the demon drink myself, nor do any of the people I consider my “mates” (to use the Australian vernacular).

    Yours in Christ,
    Michael Johnson

  22. Sam Johnston June 15th, 2006 8:27 AM

    Bless you Michael,

Thank you for that bit of scripture. I feel inspired and cleansed just seeing the words of the Lord amongst all these liberal lies.

    Amen.

  23. MindlessPsuedonym June 15th, 2006 8:32 AM

    Shelley,
Once more you have exposed the beer-swilling euro-liberals for the waste of welfare benefits and parking space they are. As a repressed Brit, forced to drink by my parents also, I am constantly disgusted by my friend’s dismal choices. ‘Boddingtons’ ? ‘Guinness’ ?

I personally only ever drink the clean, crisp refreshing product of a company that belongs to the best country in the entire world. I like the way it doesn’t distract me with ‘flavour’ or other european-beeroholic pretensions. I cannot stand neither their godlessness nor their lack of metrification – glaring at them whilst they down their ‘pints’.

I believe that God has appointed your leader as the chosen one, and I wish to renounce my English citizenship and join y’all in your land of fairness and justice. I can pray for the souls of my lost brethren from within the righteous bosum of your free world.

    Respectfully,
    Concerned, of England

  24. tycho June 15th, 2006 9:25 AM

After reading your precedent articles, I thought only Linux users drank beer ? Are you a friend of one of these scums ?

  25. tycho June 15th, 2006 9:38 AM

By the way, how can you love your budweiser as they have done pederastic advertisement (see http://www.androphile.org/preview/Museum/Exhibitions/budweiser_beer/budweiser_beer-Anheuser-Busch.html ). Isn’t it uncompatible with the wasp way of life ?

  26. pacifist June 15th, 2006 9:46 AM

I love peace and truth, but i think that the whole world would be a better place if we bomb and erase USA from the map.

  27. An Italian June 15th, 2006 9:51 AM

“Czech?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s Budvar (which calls himself Budweiser to trick Europeans as well as Americans into thinking that they sell the flavorsome original American Budweiser)”

Please check your facts, Barbara. The Czech Budweiser was founded in the 13th century, two centuries before your beloved America was even discovered.

    Love,
    An Italian.

  28. hel June 15th, 2006 10:20 AM

actually Budvar is a Czech village (maybe town? I’m not sure about the size), and Budweis is the German name for that very same place (the original Budvar/Budweiser beer is being brewed by the recipe coming from there). Budweiser simply means ‘from Budvar/Budweis’. There is a Budweiser brand in the US signalling some alcoholic beverage that is being sold as ‘beer’ though. However the best beers are brewed in countries like Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic, where the climate does not allow the cultivation of grapes. Americans buy anything, though.

  29. ?Ǭ¨? June 15th, 2006 10:28 AM

?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Did you know that British parents actually force-feed their children with beer (if the children won?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t drink it by themselves) because European breweries tell them that beer is good for their children?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s health and development????
I’d like to now where you found such a foolish thing.

  30. Friedkin June 15th, 2006 10:28 AM

US beer is so shit that they can’t even export it. In Holland, no one drinks Heineken, in Belgium, no one drinks Stella, in France they don’t drink Kronenbourg, in Germany, no none drinks Becks. It’s for export, and it’s of inferior quality. The only ones who drink their own piss are the yanks, because it’s so inferior even to inferior European beers, that they couldn’t give it away. I made the mistake of drinking budweiser once, but never again!

  31. Sidey June 15th, 2006 10:53 AM

Another retard with no comprehension or reading skills. Bitburger Pils is a fantastic beer at 4.8% alcohol. I should point out that most Americans aren’t even aware of how much alcohol they’re consuming, since the ABV is rarely shown on the can/bottle. It tastes like badger piss anyway, learn how to brew.

  32. someone June 15th, 2006 12:43 PM

fortunately , there is more damage when a child smoke cigarets than when a child drink beer. German children must have a better health that republican american children who smoke cigarets easily….

  33. MrL June 15th, 2006 2:02 PM

You americans have a serious problem with names. You call
sissy version of rugby – “football”, real football – “soccer”
and bud – “beer”. The truth is that you have no idea about
    any of those things.

Chechoslovakia kicks you when it comes to football and when
it comes to beer too (actualy in field of beer, you are no
    competition for any european country).

My favourite beer is polish Tyskie.

It won The Brewing Industry International Awards (beer oscars):
2002 Gold Medal and Champion Beer
    2004 Silver Medal
2006 Gold Medal and a Champion Beer award

“Tyskie is the first beer brand in history to have won medals in three successive competitions”

  34. qwerty June 15th, 2006 2:05 PM

I have a Bitburger on my desk and a Budvar too. They do not have much alcohol.
You’re amazing. Nice jokes. Just keep going.

German beer is the best I had never drink !
I m waiting the next rugby world cup. You know this american football without any protection ! And I will drink a good german beer ! You know, this welcoming people, the germans, so nice and wonderful people. See you later in your xenophobic world !

  37. David Letterman June 15th, 2006 3:26 PM

    Dear Barbara

I know you don’t indulge in masturbation, that’s probably why you’re such an uptight twat, but, purely for the purpose of research, try shoving a bottle of Budvar up your c+u+n+t and a bottle of Budweiser up your arse, and then vice versa. You will find the bottle of Budvar generally has a manlier feel, and the beer itself makes a better lubricant. Don’t forget to suck off both bottles afterwards. The Budvar is long, stong and hard, the Budweiser fat, limp and smelly. A bit like in real life, really.

  38. chrisp666 June 15th, 2006 5:54 PM

Please, please don’t get upset by this crap. It is not real, it is only written to get some sort of reaction. No-one, absolutely no-one could be as stupid and narrow-minded as this – well, maybe GW, but no normal person.

    Dr Chris Parsons

  39. NonAffiliated June 15th, 2006 8:08 PM

American Budweiser tastes and smells like urine. I vomit every time I consume it, not because the alchohal, but because of the inferior quality, texture, taste, scent, and practically every other aspect of it.

  40. Klarke June 16th, 2006 8:05 AM

Hello, this is my first post on this site. I have to say I am extemely alarmed by the lack of common sense the people on this site hold.

“PS: During for search in the Internet to get the facts straight I stumbled I found sth. really disgusting. Did you know that British parents actually force-feed their children with beer (if the children won?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥t drink it by themselves) because European breweries tell them that beer is good for their children?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ¥s health and development?”

Did you know that not everything on the internet is true? The person who posted that obviously didn’t. I have the great fortune of being British and I can tell you that the people who believe in those foolish lies are no better than the liberals they insult.
On that matter I would like to point out that a great man, who goes by the name of Jesus, (of whom many on this site claim to support with all their heart) Said Love thy Neighbour. What you people are doing is most certainly not loving.

“for security reasons name and location has been changed: You never know what could happen my good friend in such a hostile place if the Germans find out that he sent me this link”

The quote above claims that the Germans are a barbaric in nature and that their government is corrupt. The Germans are good, loving people who are no more corrupt than the governments of our own nations. I can see that somebody obviously has never been to Europe.
So I would also like to point out that the bible teaches Judge and you will be judged yourself. But not only that the bible teaches forgiveness, the NAZI’s where in the minority 50 years ago when their power and privelge was taken away from them, the remaining country is now as democratic as the good old U.S.A. SO GET OVER IT.

So as a final note I would like to say the way some people are acting on this site is extremely hypocritical, and you are beginning to turn into the people that you are trying to fight against. Think about what you say, and use the name of God for purposes that he would approve of.

p.s. Budweiser and Fosters is larger not beer

  41. running - free June 16th, 2006 8:44 AM

Hello, I’m from the Czech Republic.
I can prove, that the original Budweiser was invented in ?esk??Ǭ© Bud?jovice (Czech town, its german name of it is Budweis).
Czech beers are well-known with an old tradition (as well as German beers). Do you know Budvar (=Budweiser,Czechvar),Pilsner Urquell, Gambrinus…? ;-)

Do you know the joke, CEO of Czech, German and American breweries are in pub. The waiter comes and American sais: “, please.”, German sais “Heineken please.”, Czech sais “Coca-Cola, please”.
The two others are surprised and ask “Why do not you order beer?” “If you will not drink beer, so I will not too” ;-)

    Sorry for my English :)

  42. th3ch3 June 16th, 2006 10:24 AM

    Hey, Barbara!
Are you scared or why don?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t you tell us, where you got the fact from, that European parents force their children to drink beer?

  43. rhywun June 16th, 2006 11:28 AM

dogfish head is an american brewery from delaware, affectionately knows as the ‘first state’[because it was the first state to ratify the constitution... and for that matter it did not commit treason and secede with the rest of the bad apples]. the alcohol content is not that high. lying about other countries/liberals is one thing, but now your spreading lies about your “great” country and its home-brewed entrepreneurial heroes. hmm.

  44. timo June 17th, 2006 4:37 AM

Everyone whether American or not who was an opinion about beer will say that Czech and German beer is much better than American beer.
How can you call Bud a beer anyway? It doesn’t even foam.

  45. Ronald Freeman June 17th, 2006 3:24 PM

Globalisation gone mad. How did a pisspoor beer lile Budwesie ever manage to get in such a position of power:

Football’s governing body has explained why up to 1,000 Dutch fans watched a World Cup tie wearing no trousers.

Around 1,000 fans arrived for the Ivory Coast tie in their traditional bright orange trousers – but bearing the logo and name of a Dutch brewery.

To protect the rights of the official beer they were denied entry, so the male fans promptly removed the trousers and watched the game in underpants.

Fifa said an attempt at an “ambush” publicity campaign was not allowed.

Fifteen major companies have paid up to $50m (?Ǭ¨?Ǭ£27m) each for the right to be official partners at this World Cup.

The American firm Anheuser Busch, which makes Budweiser, won the exclusive right to promote and sell its beverage in the stadiums and other venues.

There has been a wider resentment in Germany that a US brewery has the exclusive rights in a country which prides itself on the quality of its beer and has very strict laws governing its composition.

  46. Ravenheart June 18th, 2006 3:17 AM

“Did you know that the people in the Czech Republic have the highest per-capita consumption in the world?”
Ain’t you too drunk to understand that the highest per-capita consumption in the world of beer have the GERMANS, fucking idiot.

budweiser is beer for people who don’t like beer

  49. The Comic Book Guy June 22nd, 2006 12:25 PM

Beer is bad for children? I thought it’s like with smoking. Smoking is very good for your health, you said, so why should beer be bad? Your arguments are very stupid … and, by the way, FIFA Football World Cup Germany (the 2. biggest sports-competition of the world): USA ,4. in Group E, behind Italy, Ghana and Czech Republic, did not rech the next round.

  50. Not_spacified June 22nd, 2006 1:31 PM

2 owen mono – beware of mistake in your statement – stating that american budweiser = beer is blasphemous in nature

    Carry on

  51. omnihash June 25th, 2006 9:07 PM

I never believed, how much stupid the human can be :D:D:D
In czek republic is brewring the budweiser beer until the year 1300something. that was the FIRST beer of this type in the whole fucking world. So the americans stealt it, but so bad, that the beer is undrikable now.
So whenever some americans company steal the name of it they just ignore it, couse when they first (and last) tasted the american”budweisser” they get into guffaw. So allmost the whole Europe ignore the american junk.

I?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•ve been in about 30 countries around Europe and in everyone found the pubs, where budvar was been served, but just TWO where was budweisser olso. In fact, in Prague(capital of Czech) and Budejovice (hometown of budvar) are crowds of drunks Americans, so the beer couldn?Ǭ¨?Ǭ•t be so bad at all.

I am one of the Americans interviewed in the articule regarding the American Budweiser and the Czech Budvar. My friend who was also on the trip found this reference to us and sent me the link. I haven’t gone though the entire site, but only this posting and opinion from Barbara Rushton. I’m sorry to disappoint you Barbara, but the Homeland Security Department did allow to return home. My OPINION that Budvar was better than Bud was accurate. I found it much more flavorful and finished much cleaner than Bud. The World Cup was a bit of a disappointment with the our team, the USA, not making it out of group play. Funny how, although I left the country to support an American Athletic organization, I shouldn’t be let back into the country due to an opinion on the taste of a beer…

Freedon of Speech is a wonderful right. Barbara you have the right to call Homeland Security and demand that my citizenship should be taken away. Public opionion will determine who sounds crazy, you for demanding that or me for liking a foreign beer.

    Take care,

    Hillarious site… LOL :-)

    Now, there isntany”war”against American beer.

But the sinking truth is, that Americanbeer tastes like piss. Why on earth should Europpeans drink Milwuakees Best, Coors,Bud Light or any other American “beer”?

The best beerin the world comes from Czhec Republic. Norwegianbeerdoesn’t come far after. German beer is 10 timesbetter than any dog piss that would ever come out ofthe Rockies or where ever the hell you piss down your water. Ireland has some ofthe best ales in the world. Andthey have Guiness.

Socanyou please explain to me why American beer should monopolize in Europe?

Are you against Free Market and competition?

People choose for them selves what beer they want to drink. And given a choice between American ant piss that will onlygive you hangovers after doind incredibly stpid things like any other freeper would do, European has a long history.
