i would also like to add, how ca you support the war when your country is losing so much money in it. even if this war was for a decent reason it would be wrong. america is putting so much effort and money into the rest of the world that the american infrastructure is close to collapse. new orleans proved that. when something bad happened in your own country your government and emergency services had no idea what to do! a lot of people died and it was mainly the fault of your government and president. your troops should have been at home to help with the rescue and cleanup, NOT out in a foreign country that doesnt want them. and also when you talk about the iraqis being able to convert to christianity now, THEY OBVIOUSLY DONT WANT TO OR THEY WOULD HAVE DONE IT! no one was stopping them when saddam was in power because he was against all forms of religious extremism. it is now MORE dangerous for iraqi christians than before!

seeing as you only watch fox news you seem to have missed out on seeing the real evidence of this war crime. if you watched a news channel that wasnt controlled by your government you would know there are actually vidios of the shootings happening, and also vidios and pictures of the bodys, bodys of an old woman and a young baby included. if there was no crime why did the army lie about it? they said the house was bombed at first, and only changed thier minds shortly after pictures of the house still standing were released. and if you think your country isnt capable of war crimes then you should do some real research because im pretty sure holding prisoners in guantanamo bay for years without trial is a crime. and you should also see the photos of the sick abuse inflicted upon these prisoners by YOUR troops. if you still feel like praying for them after finding out the truth then you are very sick indeed.

War is ugly and our soldiers are without a doubt guilty of killing many innocent people (Fact of all wars). Of course we all considered this when our country "voted" on going to war right? Ohhh wait there was no vote.. Well when congress decided.. wait congress didn't decide either.

Mistakes like this one are a result of putting too much power in the hands of too few people. The President should be a figurehead and diplomatic representative NOT a policy maker. The idea that this retarded hick from TEXAS makes the ultimate decesions for our country only shows how ridicolous our country has become.

The time to stand up and seperate church from state is at hand now. I encourage everyone to pickup this topic and take it to everyone they know. We cannot be ruled by one man's view of GOD. We must root out these so called Christains from our government before they do anymore harm. If you are Christain fine, but don't try to push your relegion on the rest of the country (Actual practicing Christians are not in the majority in the United States). Who is this Chris guy anyways? I believe in the ideals of Christ, he was a great man. Chris on the other hand seems to support holidays that mock and defame Christ (Christmas is a commercial holiday for pagans, Easter is a fertility day for pagans not the celebration of Christ)

Join me in the support of Christ and you can become a loving and accepting "Christ"-tian. Down with these Christians who support Chris!

I'm just giving a little support, I don't know the whole story of what happened, but I'm sure none of your other commentators do either. I do agree with you that the media are very liberal. They may not always throw things in that are unfounded but they never tell any of the good stuff. Anything to make Bush look bad... thats all. Kudos on at least trying to voice your opinion over the liberal idiots who won't even try to hear any other side.

im wondering if your writing is actual feeling or a ploy to anger people. Ive spent many hours absorbing your views on the United States government, world affairs, and your obvious hate towards "liberals." I myself am not a democrat or republican because i feel they spend too much of their time eating at each others throats. Your blog is a great example of this.

As for this subject, i dont think people hate our troops, i think they hate that we are spending close to $6 billion on this "war effort." Although i do find it ironic how we are spending all our media airtime talking about ending terrorism when we in fact are terrorist ourselves.

Terrorism: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

I hate to sound cliche, but trying to drop our political views on other countries is in itself terrorism. Which is funny, because a democracy has more flaws in practice than socialism or communism...

If im right in thinking that this is just a ploy to invoke anger in people, avoid these paragraphs and know that at least i had some practice writing while i was wasting my time.

This blog may be a parody yet parodies are half truth, quarter doubt and quarter lies. If we don't raise our voices, soon anything written this blog is to become full truth

By the way I use Linux. I don't believe in a god like Jehovah or Jesus and may not be Cristian but i believe on many of the teachings of the man named Jesus Christ and i mean the truly teachings of him not that hate-religion-like Thistan believes in.

Excuse me, if I may interject for a moment? Thank you. My name is Charles Swanson. I am a 17-year-old young man living in Lafayette, Georgia. I've been watching Shelley's page for a while, and have noticed a few articles where she has stated an intense dislike for Linux and other *nix programs, hardware, and software.

I am saying this to protest her thinking, to enlighten her to the truth. The truth, no matter how painstakingly awful you may invision it to be, is that things are changing in the United States, and no matter how much you wish it not to happen, you'll end up changing as well.

My case in point: Myself. Here at my home, I use a Compaq Deskpro from the late 1990s which runs Ubuntu Linux 6.06 "Dapper Drake" release. It is one of the most reliable computers I have ever used in my life, and I have it set up mainly for the development of my webcomic and to visit my forums I tend to frequent. In all honesty, I see no difference between my Ubuntu computer and the Windows XP computer out in my family's living room.

From the outside, my computer looks plain, harmless. Why, it's the same from the inside as well, too. Linux is just a harmless OS, made by people who want the operating system to be free. True, there are a number of people who use it to hack computers. I am not one of those people. I use Linux because of three key reasons:

1) It is free software
2) It is less vulnerable to programs running natively on Windows, such as virii, spyware, adware, trojans, rootkits, et cetera
3) It is an avid supporter of many free, open-source programs like Mozilla Firefox, GAIM Instant Messenger, the OpenOffice.org word processing suite, the GNU Image Manipulation Program, and others

I noticed in an earlier article that you spoke of a program called "eMac". This was a typo; the program you refer to is called eMacs, and is not hacker software at all. It is a simple word processor, much like Notepad or Wordpad on Windows XP.

Now, you may wonder why I am speaking up like this. Well, in all honesty I wasn't prepared to until now. I have been seeing a growing number of people who tend to put Linux down, who say it is not a true American OS. This is true, and I will admit they are right. It's not an American OS. But that is not the point I am trying to make. My point is this: Linux is an OS; It is used AS hacker technology, but was originally intended NOT TO BE hacker technology. And with this I end my statement.

I trust FoxNews & Co. Here is what they have to say about it.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,199024,00.html

Immediately after the roadside bomb, Marines noticed a car full of "military-aged men" near the bomb site who ran when ordered to stop. Marines opened fire, killing four or five men.

The unit subsequently came under fire and a corporal identified the shots as coming from a specific house. A four-man team, including Wuterich, kicked in the door and found a series of empty rooms before hearing people behind one door. They kicked that one in, tossed a fragmentation grenade into the room and one Marine fired a series of rounds through dust and smoke, killing several people.

Even though they realized they had killed men, women and children, they saw a back door ajar and believed insurgents had moved to a second house. The Marines moved to the second house, kicking in the door, killing one man inside and then using another grenade and more gunfire to clear another room full of people.
