Freedom of Speech : Our 1st Amendment Zone
Dear Conservatives,
You may have noticed that this forum has been overwhelmed of late; swamped by a very vocal liberal minority. I hope our many conservative readers have not felt that their important comments have become diluted amongst the preposterous crank and “troll” messages that seem to fill up our forums.
I’m ashamed to admit that the forums are full of some of the most offensive language and ideas that I have ever read in my life. I had not expected that so many people would come to Shelley’s site as a result of our sensible and well-researched work.
For example, our articles on Linux attracted some notice from the anti-American IT-Press. Compared to the dangers of abortion, restrictions on our religious speech, and the Democrat’s campaign to raise gas prices the Linux problem is a relatively insignificant issue. I cannot begin to understand the liberal mindset that values Linux over life!
One of the most common troll-postings is the claim that this web-site is some kind of “satire”; I’ve often noticed that liberals seem to have an over-developed sense of irony, believing almost anything that does not fit into their world-view must be an “ironic joke” and a target for their ill-educated laughter.
Now everbody knows that Republicans like a good joke as much as any American; Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter and Sean Hannity are three of the most humorous people in God’s creation; Their humor is well judged, gentle and always educational. If only I could say the same for our liberal readers:
The liberal trolls have gone too far. Enough is enough! After careful consideration Shelly and I have decided to do something about it:
We Republicans value the constitution. As soldiers we bear arms to defend it. As Christians, we pray to keep it unpolluted by godlessness. Thats why we are proud to unveil our “Free Speech Zone“, a place for anybody (including liberals) to exercise their 1st Amendment Rights. We are proposing that from a week today we will limit the comments on our forums to valid conservative points of view only.
We invite those who wish to express non-conservative points of view to move their discussion over to the “Shelley’s Free Speech Zone“, which is the name we give to our Google Group. I’m certain all of our listeners will think that it is a great idea. I know liberals are fond of exercising their 1st Amendment rights, and will also appreciate the fact that we have provided a place to express dissent.
I think it’s also time we demonstrated to the liberal minority just how insignificant they are; Shelley has set up a new feature we call “The Map of Patriots“; It’s intended to show just how many people care about America.
If you are a conservative, please sign up to this important service. Together we will show the liberals how few they are; Once the liberals of the world realize they are an irrelevant minority living in a pre 9/11 fantasy, I am sure they will soon repent.

Shelly, I think that the comments of these “Americans” are hilarious. It is the duty of EVERY American to support what our President says and never criticize him. Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and George Washington have all said that.
These atheist liberal demoCraps are just whining (what else do liberals do) because they are in the MINORITY. George Bush WON the election.

I am so glad to see that there are still some good people out there who value the basic idea of Free Speech.
Free Speech was not invented to spread lies and european ideologies among the world.
We have seen the result of an abused right to Free Speech: genocide, tax rising and junk-sciences.
Just look at the crap this so called Dr.Freud said. He was almost as disturbed as this Darwin-Monkey-Lover.
He demanded that every young boy should kill his father and to have sex with his own mother. How sick is this ?
I am pretty sure the german language had a very bad influence on him.
To germans all language is good for is to spread lies and their arrogance.
I think the lesser nations on earth are not even able to understand the true meaning of Free Speech.

I think Shelley should be a first american female president, because only god american as her could lead this great country in a proper way. I agree completely with your ideas that liberals should be forced to wear armbands or some kind of marks to warn true americans of them. I would go one step further, we should lobby congress to have the liberals inplanted with RFID chips and the children of liberals too. That way we could have a website which will show in real time where they are so allowing true americans to avoid them if they wish or confront them and make them pay for their sins to god. Also this would show how insignificant and such a small minority they really are as it would show the number of liberals on the website. Do you think this is a good idea. I’d love to discuss this with you on your chatroom, us americans must work toghether to cleanse our country of the sin of darwin and liberals.

You are right to set up a ?Google group? to capture, and in my opinion expose, the rabid opinions of the liberal chattering classes; therefore leaving this site open to represent all aspects of the conservative viewpoint in a fair and balanced way.
Many of your critics will no doubt claim this runs against the spirit of the first amendment. How ironic that so many of these people will be Europeans using the internet to voice their opinions in a way they would not be allowed to do in their own country. These people should spend more time fighting to gain their own freedoms before criticizing those enjoyed by others.

I am a european, something which I am truly sorry about. Our liberal media spends every waking minute dreaming up new lies about your president.
I pray for the day the US comes to our rescue and brings freedom to europe. Tony Blair has been subject to outrageous attacks by the liberal media, I truly believe that George and Tony were put on this earth to bring freedom and christinity to the godless.

I think we can all agree that this blog deals with some very serious issues, but it also needs a balancing force. The comments from the democ-rats used to provide this humor…and now we need to go to a whole ‘nother site to see them. I think the pitiful comments from the liberal fools should continue to be allowed, so that we may laugh at their stupidity.
I would first like to say that I love my country, our leader, my God, my church, my family, and Microsoft. I am a true red-blooded American republican with all of our best interests in mind. I am an accountant serving local governments of Illinois and a computer technology hobbyist. That said, I believe your posts are often misguided. For instance, your article about Linux shows a complete lack of actual research. I am one who loves a good argument and supports everyone’s right to express their opinions, but when lies are spread as truth, I cannot support it. I do agree that liberals often use deception to spread their ideals, but when you can’t support your claims with verfiable facts, you are just as bad. You can’t dismiss every commentor that criticizes you as a Godless democrat, though I suspect you’ll do the same with me.
Building software is like building a house. You could hire a big construction firm to handle the myriad of tasks required. They would all be trained and certified and liable for their actions. It may be expensive, but it may be the best way to get the best product. That’s the Microsoft way. The Linux way is a little different. You could get a huge neighborhood of people (the developers) from all over the world (US included) to chip in a little here and there. They are probably all trained and certified (some may even work for Microsoft during the day) and all check each other’s work (liability). Because all of the resources to build the house are donated (the originators of UNIX freely shared the code allowing for the creation of Linux–entirely legally and freely), the end product is made available for free. The whole idea behind an open-source project is that something made by the community should be freely available to the community. Much like the babysitting services available at my church. Because volunteers sign up for the duties, the members can use the service for free. Beautiful idea isn’t it?
Before you denounce my support for the IDEA of Linux as un-American and evil, please do a little more reading so that your writings and opinions can be a little more informed. I don’t expect you to change your mind, but at least try to sound like you understand both sides of the issue. I do.
Being republican and liking capitalism as much as the next guy, I must say that you are either being totally satirical about Linux, or you don’t know what the hell your talking about. I’ve voted repulican for over 20 years, but I’ve also been a linux supporter for over 8 years.
Microsoft is not the end all be all of computer Operating Systems. Thank God the USPO didn’t exist when the wheel was invented…… we’d still be riding horses.
Microsoft is a Monopolistic company, and Linux is the only viable alternative. Just because something is FREE doesn’t by default make it BAD. This blog is not worthy of my time, even being a devoted Republican.
