My husband, Steven, forbade me to write about this because he is just to embarrassed, but in the interest of getting the information out, I must write about it.
Steven still has contact to his German relatives, I told him to just not talk to them anymore, because frankly I think they are vile and disgusting, but he keeps the contact alive. He is just such a kind and loyal family man.
His relatives from Germany came to visit us for a week and it was a disaster. We had a total of three Germans in our house. “Heinz”, the father, “Elfriede”, the mother and their daughter, “Maike”. I can’t even begin to tell you how ignorant these people are! They have no respect for the American language and no respect for the American culture.
German values and traditions : Strange to the rest of the world
On the drive from the airport to your home they started complaining (it seems that Germans really like to complain all the time). “The American Airline (which was American Airlines) is not as good as their “Lufthansa”, “the food on the flight was so awful”, “the people at the airport have been impolite”, “the streets are not as good as in Germany” and on and on and on.. Every time I became somewhat critical of the German “culture” or their past they attacked America! I brought up the Holocaust and they said: “Hitler created jobs and your President George W. Bush is worse than Hitler!” I did not even dignify this with a response. One one point I just stopped the car and got out for a minute. The complete visit was almost unbearable until Sunday, when I had to throw them out!
Heinz and Elfriede : Lost Souls
Last Sunday we were in church, like any other good American family and when we came back, the Germans were kind of nervous, they were somewhat sweating and shortly after we arrived back they left the house what I greatly appreciated. I aired the house, because I could not stand their smell (by the way, what is it with Germans and taking showers? Do they feel some kind of pain when water touches their skin? They stink!). After a short while I was getting ready to watch my favorite movie which is “Jesus Christ Superstar” when the most disgusting thing in my life happened: In the VCR I found a really repulsive video tape. It was: “Maximum Perversum Vol.6″ I is some kind of German extreme hardcore porn. I was instantly getting violently sick. When we were in church praying they watched a porn and probably had sex. I was throwing up.

I called my husband and told him that these disgusting creatures are no longer welcome in our home! I told him that he had to throw them out as soon as they are back and if he would not do it, I would leave and take the children! As I already told you, my husband is a good and God fearing man and father and he was shocked, too and of course he broke up with these perverts and said to them that they are not welcome anymore. He drove them to the local Motel 6 and said good bye for good.

Friends, on the one hand I wish all this would never had happened but on the other hand I am glad because now I know. Now I know I was right. Germans are disgusting, Germans are lost. In my opinion there is no hope for Germans to get to Heaven. And I am so glad that my husband asked to today if he has relatives in Europe, he instantly replies: NO!

I am so glad that you are writing about one of the most critical proplems creation has: germans.
But let me assure you that the average german is actually much worse than the ones you were forced to let live in your sweet home.
I am living in godless Miami and in my son’s high school there is this teacher who is german by decent.
And guess what ? He is teaching counless numbers of young people how to speak this terrible language. Last year they were reading books like “Also sprach Zarathustra”, “Mein Kampf” and “Die Ausrottung unwerten Lebens”.
It does not surprise me very much that miami has become such a rotten place.
I also agree Heinz and Elfriede acted rude, and intolerant.
However; Representing them as a whole union is simply resism, I for once know a lot of great, kind, and gentle Germans.
You also mentioned that they had no tolerance towards US, ironic isn’t it :)?

Being an American living so close to Germany (in the Netherlands, near Aachen) I find it horrible that you judge an entire culture of people because of one incident. Although I don’t agree with Hilter being better than Bush, I do not think you should be judging all Germans from these three people. And, even though the porn was sickening and all, people have sex. I’m pretty sure you and your husband have done it before, seeing as you have chilren.

I NEVER leave back feedback on forums like this untill now. How old were these relatives of yours? Have you ever noticed how older people complain about even the most mundane things? And have you gone on an American Airlines flight and had their food? Or even have you tried the Lufthansa’s food. Anyways, about the showering thing: Didn’t god (to cap, or not to cap…) fearing people not shower with the utmost frequency till rather recently? I also don’t understand why you hate all Germans. If it is because of the holocaust then I have to tell you not to forget about the Austrians (Austria was a part of Germany that time, as you maybe know). BTW I don’t think Levy Steinweg (the man on the thomb stone) was murdered in Auschwitz or any other camp as he died in 1891, and as we all know Auschwitz was built in 1940.
And I even don’t think that G. W. Buush thinks the same as you do about Germans as he is going to meet the German Bundeskanzler (there is also an Austrian one) Angela Merkel today in the White House.

“Young Americans just don’t seem to have much interest in the world outside of the U.S.,” said David Rutherford, a specialist in geography education at the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C. (National Geographic News is part of the National Geographic Society.)
New York City-based Roper Public Affairs conducted the survey for the National Geographic Society. In total, Roper carried out 510 interviews between December 17, 2005, and January 20, 2006.
Americans are far from alone in the world, but from the perspective of many young Americans, we might as well be. Most young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 demonstrate a limited understanding of the world, and they place insufficient importance on the basic geographic skills that might enhance their knowledge.
Young Americans answer about half (54 percent) of all the survey questions correctly. But by and large, majorities of young adults fail at a range of questions testing their basic geographic literacy.

I was raised by katholic parents, I visited curch sundays, I grew up with christian values and I read the bible – just in case, you want to want to know! I visited the United States of America for 10 month and went to a high school in michigan and got my diploma with honors. I made good friends with a lot of Americans and still have contact to a few. I even visited an American church, which was really interesting. I tolerate every religion and every race there is. I am certanly not a nazi. I got colored and non-German friends. I like America. I like Burger King.
But I don’t like ’so-called-chrisitans’ acting no other than islamist hate-prayers (if you call them that way)…crying out for ‘finish of the job’ freeing the world from germs (switch ‘germs’ with ‘jews’ and you should be reminded of something in the German past). Don’t buy German products (some thing here: switch ‘German’ with ‘Jewish’). And so on.
I don’t want to tell you what to do…but, as a good christian, you should go out in the world and open your arms for those who might be different (different don’t mean ‘evil’, ‘bad’, ‘watching hardcore porn produced in the USA’). You should go out and see for yourself…listen to the people…make your own opinion, not from meeting 2 or 3 obviously strange Germans (hope, your husband is totaly different to his German relatives)…there are enough strange Americans (Charles Manson, the Columbine Shooters, Perverts of all kind as seen on some internet pages with full adress), but do I hate America? The terrible German language is a part of your language. In the year 456 after Christ the Anglos and Saxons went to England. They took their idiom with them. Even today there are words in the spoken Niederdeutsch idiom which can easily recognized as origin for modern English vocabularies. Some examples: English capital = London, small town in N. Germany = Lunden. Water = low German = Water. Knive corresponds to Knief and so on, wife = low German Wief and so on.
So: Are you fighting (=lower German Folkjefecht) your own language?

Well, I’m not going to directly attack you. I have noticed that your attempt at being a ‘good Christian’ has resulted in a sort of deterioration in your comment list. I will admit, I was referred to this site from your Linux articles from, oh, it was either Register.co.uk or Slashdot.com. You have a tendency to upset a lot of people. Personally, I don’t think you should be attacked for your ideals. You have an outlook on life that I REALLY don’t agree with, but I will provide you a few tips. One, check your grammar and spelling. In multiple articles, I find more than several mistakes in spelling and word order. Using the American English language (as I’m sure you detest the British) in a more professional manner will help you in conveying your point more easily. Two, do a little more research and don’t generalize. Generalizing leads to the pre-pubescent attacks you can see in the latter part of your comment lists.
Ok, now onto the subject in question. Germans complain about this country because it’s different to their country. I’m sure if you went to another country as a tourist, you would complain about certain aspects of it as well. It may come as a surprise to you, but there are people out there who watch porn and have sex while watching it. Now, you say it’s because they are German, but I have a theory that it’s because they had pornography and sex in your house. I have no doubt you would have acted the same way towards any American who did the same thing. Also, you didn’t address the PAL vs NTSC issue, but I’m sure you would never allow a piece of electronic equipment that supports anything but NTSC.
Now, I will say that bringing up the Holocaust to a pair (well, technically trio, but I assume the daughter wasn’t complaining) of complaining Germans is really just bad taste. It only makes the fire hotter. Germans know that Hitler was an evil human being and some of his orders weren’t exactly the best of ideas. I mean, if you attack their country with words, you have to assume the natural reaction would be to attack the attackers country. Fine, judge an entire country by the actions of two, but keep in mind that same sentiment is reversed towards the United States.
Personally I think you are just someone who thinks up the worst possible thing they can say about someone and puts it on this site. I think you do this because you want the attention and to create the controversy. That you do very well, I will admit, but your ideas are very insulting to a lot of people and I think you should re-read your Bible and take notes.
