if you are an upstanding decent christian, todays topic will turn your stomach: Pornography and the resulting exploitation of women.
This might very well be the worst problem facing your great nation.
You sometimes think that porn is not a big issue, because you are a good and decent republican, but all you have to do is to turn on your TV today and you will be confronted with semi porn or porn 24/7. Watch the newest MTV music videos. They are vile, they are disgusting. MTV and VH1 are on of the biggest contributors to the downfall of our still great and mighty nation by step by step softening up their viewers to the idea of consuming porn! Large well established websites and publications like Playboy and Penthouse are almost excepted by some individuals (especially liberals) well knowing that they advance the distibution of porn into the society. Others border illegality like for example Hustler’s “Barely Legal” which shows especially young woman/teenagers with the intention to promote and imply underage sex. But it’s not only the big porn companies that badly hurt our society and damage our young children mind’s. It’s also the many thousand small porn outlets like for example VisualPink.com or Model Perfect which are operating on a lower level. These small porn companies promise young girls money and fame when they allow them to be exploited.

I just stumbled onto your site and I find myself in agreement with you on almost all your opinions. This one however I think you are misunderstanding the Constitution in its entirety.
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
If we as Republicans are going to continue to maintain a majority we will have to continue to take the intellectual high ground. I agree with you that the limits our Constitution puts on the government are absolutely necessary in maintaining a strong Democracy. As I agree with you that pornography is damaging to a culture there is no real way to extract it and not have collateral damage on any other part of the society. The problem is extracting something that is offensive to any one individual makes the definition of ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?offensive??? very hazy. I find it is always best to assume that the next leader of the country is someone that would be in total disagreement with me. I would not want the majority of the country to have the ability to take away my rights. In the end the subject of pornography is about speech and speech has no real way to hurt you. It may be offensive but part of living in a more free society is giving others freedoms. If you would like to see the first example of censorship read about the ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Trial of Socrates???. The only reason I am commenting on your blog is I agree with you but I would warn you about cherry picking the rights the Constitution affords us. If the ?¢‚Ǩ?°?É‚Äû?ɬ?Right??? (and I find myself very right) want to make sure we lead this country and not the left we must always defend the Constitution.

I couldn’t help but notice your failure to mention one of the biggest purveyors and disseminators of soft porn and smut, the ultra-conservative FOX Network.
Conservatives, who claim to be all about individual rights, are always the first ones to sell out when it comes to defending them, as is evidenced by their support of the Patriot Acts.
If you really feel strongly about this issue, you should support the efforts to give cable and satelite television subscribers the right to select the individual channels they want to recive, and not pay for the others. This would give parents much more control over what their children watch on the tube.
I am against censorship, especially when it is imposed by the holier-than-thou religious right, while your article shows that they are using porn in record numbers. It’s hypocrisy.

what does that tell you ? that’s lots of people feel they need it for one reason or another ? after all, our sexual drive it what make the human species survive.
